Most of the trading is managed by computer algo's, the exception is when events happen then the banks turn them of and its manually done. So given the forced liquidation and amnesty by banks, what and how much is the price dislocation???
Are the bankers sat on the sidelines??? Are the bankers greedy or responsible ethical professionals???
Are meme stock retail traders sat on the sidelines??? Do politicians want to retire early in an extra holiday home???
I suppose theoretically that oligarch and BoD shenanigans to one side that if peace was brokered the SP should to back to what is was before the invasion. However I believe that would not be the case as new investors still would be wary to invest
The stock is like 1p, it doesn't need to move much to gain...
If negotiations resume and there's an agreement, what happens to price???
"It won't go bust as the Kremlin would support it."
POG Plc would be allowed to go bankrupt. I wouldn't conflate POG operations with the PLC though. Of course there is no chance the workers there will be out of jobs, they won't be. But, to imply that means the PLC is also safe isn't true. I guess a lot depends on how it plays out with UMMC/Nordic - they've coupon and bond redemption, not sure what the terms of the bonds were , if they were secured , if so, what collateral etc. etc. Wait and see, I think people are essentially taking a gamble on the end result of 'schenanigans'.
LeChameleon,
It won't go bust as the Kremlin would support it. It could very well be 'stolen' from the current owners/ share holders or de-listed/ relisted. It could also recover to a price several hundred percent higher. The future here is not yet known but right now it obviously looks quite bad.
Le ch .. your funny .. far from .. it’s going to shoot io big time .. and RNS first thing .. you heard it here first : tiger .. we have a buyer …
aborted on friday. no regrets. good timing in fact
Just feel the potential here is worth the risk
Thanks cookie for the heads up. I have filtered him, I didn't realise Nathan was prolapse. Meh that has spoiled what I thought was an interesting exchange. Should have realised he was just trying to cause people to lose money as always.
Yeah lost it all when they went bust in 2014... I was tempted actually earlier this week but thankfully didn't. If I had seen this news today I would have been selling first thing at the open.
Anyway, good luck. There are much better options out there. Pog... -43.96 (-97.42%)all time. Can't you see it is in it's death rattle as you write? 90+% drop... go look at other shares like the one I am in THG 90% down but has had take over offers 150% above current price only the other week and has no sanctions!
Your risk reward ratio is screwed up imho. You have a lot of risk here and little reward in comparison to many other companies out there.
Hey Prolee, I see you’re still spouting **** then.
You have stated previously that you’ve bought shares here pal,
lol @ 4p... who in their right mind would buy shares here! hey wanna buy some russian oil as well and some used second hand russian tanks? lol. I guess you must be quite underwater, I get that defensive aggression but you need to be realistic.
This news has been known for a while soon can’t see it having any more of a lasting impact than what has already happened to pog share price. I still believe the fact that none of this is pogs fault so technically it can’t default on payment. If it went though the courts pog would win, of course it wouldn’t get that far. I can’t think of one company operating in Russia that has gone bust because of the war. The worst case here for me is a buyout at 4p,
Here because I am sad at seeing a company I was involved in many years ago going down the pan a second time. First time I had a lot of my kids ISA and pension here, I learned from that mistake last time. Why are you here?
So your here to what? Save us? Or hoping for a little trade? What?
Amazing how misguided people are thinking that POG is going to make more money when it can't trade and at best will be simply delisted! POG as a company will delist from the UK and simply continue in Russia. You will be left holding....? exactly zero, zilch, nada. Sure the company may make more but shareholders here won't! unbelievable mindset here of some.
Turning the screw, whether it has any effect will remain to be seen. Clearly sanctioning oil didn’t work so mid expect the same outcome for gold.
G7 purchased 90% of Russia exported Gold. That is a hard void to fill and customers will pressure for a lower price.
Hey tiger UK not banning Russian gold was rather premature don't yer think
Just think this will actually help pog, gold price surges pog makes more money lol laughable
e mail you are misinformed .. Gold is a scarce resource , hence start playing with the factors that make it even more scarce like sanction s then the supply goes down , demand get higher , which means the price of gold goes to new highs ... there is no other class asset that compares to gold ...
also the G7 ... are not needed we have india and china ...
@email
Hmm so which way will gold go . I've always understood gold as a pretty useless commodity bar as a back up product that will not loose value in times of non anchored currency value and a shortage should see it rise further. At the moment I feel I'm in a game of monopoly I last landed on 'water works' and I'm just about to face the green and blue properties which each have a hotel on them.
Wrong, look what has happened to oil. Gold will surge to new highs now. It’s being shorted like silver but now these sanctions have hit the price will surge.
Lawrence13... Any commodity, gold included, loses value whenever there are restrictions to its trading... and if a commodity becomes hard to trade or less easy to trade, usually it's natural to find substitutes for it - and once substitutes are found the original might well be jettisoned for good... So- there is danger here for gold
