Results seem good to me but does anyone know what the market expectations were?
Are on 8th Sept

I believe.
feels like next monday to me.
5th August last year so must be close now...maybe next week?
anyone know when the interims are due?
yeah cos, from memory, the Tudor Rose sell off really distorted the last FY results thus making it look much cheaper than it actually is. If you were on free carry and then just upped your holding though then that's different
is v long term for me...I was on free carry with that sell at 1.46 but decided I just like the company too much so bought back @ 1.20...clearly shd have waited..and can see why investors might not see value until 70-80p range
Jolly, I know I'm not part this convo but having stumbled across this - are you no longer in SYQ? Redt, RBN, VLK, EME - all superb choices btw Been meaning to research Thal & read el1te's analysis Don't know about many of the others but am surprised how bullish you are re: LPA but hey ho I'm probably wrong somehow on my analysis there lol
Thanks Jolly...I'm in quite a few of them lads as well ;-)
opm, rnvo, rbn, redt, vlk, tri ...with thal, ton, lpa nearly there ...and some largish punts on oillies atm incl: eme, caza, frr, blvn, pvr, rrl,
...and????
but then i cover too many,,this is small beer compared to my major positions like gbo, sag, rgs, cgs...etc etc
jolly - we seem to be in a lot of the same shares....
again
IMHO, take your time and make sure you know what is spike and froth, and where the true value is. I was in PEN and enjoyed a good few months earlier this year. I will definitely look to come back for the mid term growth story. I just have had some really bad tips from Midas which entirely thru my own fault I believed. I would not want someone to jump too soon into this and find they are below their expectation for longer than they hoped.
Evening fellas. Yep....too bad Everton lost...title over imho. Pen...excellent little company...good management, divi paying too. I'm not in but if I was certainly would look to take profits on the spike Tuesday morning. The Midas article is very good in terms of the potential pen has....niche company in that regard and not just UK contracts.
Good morning Shan, fancy seeing you on here!. Thanks for bringing this to my attention or should I say, back to my attention. I sold out of PEN in March last year, having made a profit of around 50%. I saw the share price rise suddenly from the high 40s, low 50s to well over 60p in just one day. This board caught fire briefly. I decided to take profits when I saw the share price starting to retrace; often that happens when there is a spike. PEN has never been far off my radar but I haven't thought too much of re-investing, until now. The fundamentals and criteria I use to identify a company to invest in are pretty much all there so I will give it further consideration. Nothing wrong with re-investing at a higher price. Retrospectively I could say I should never have sold out in the first place, but that's life. I will do a little more research but may set a buy limit for Tuesday morning at a sensible price, whatever that may be. Regards CM
Recommended by Midas share tips today so expect significant rise on Tuesday IMHO.
nothing obvious....but very welcome!
Any reason for the 9% rise this afternoon? (share tip or RNS)
The present CFO has stated he will hand over at the end of this year. Shame, he seems to have done a good job!
After great results and a 4% fall people are buying £1k bundles with a 4.5% spread. Crazy.
and the price drops 3%.......
