I cannae stop her Capt'n....she's about to blow.
We're all going on a Summer holiday with OTB. 141p looking Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrreatt said Tony.
Maybe Deutsche knew what the real story was !

Looks like someone already know, fingers crossed for a very good news tomorrow ,
Donkeyeeyore you're surely right, there are lots of factors to consider and they are just as important as the accounts. If it was all about financial statements accountants would be the richest people.
Last week a few shares shoot up ahead of the TU/HF and FY results. Definitely there is a positive momentum in the market in this period. I can't wait to see what OTB will put out tomorrow.
Maybe Roaring Kitty could tip it like Gamestop up 64% today
Hige news due
In auction.
MBO hopefully. Optimism would not move the dial. They know you know.
Sincerely hoping that this is a leak rather than pure optimism :)
Roll up roll up limited seats left before take off
Let's not forget this could double by year end
The ads work, unlike that annoying woman on the chase ads - Bingo.
If you want holiday adverts that aren't Naff, try booking an arctic cruise or safari costing £5 -15k.
Suspect more thought goes into the advertising than some give credit for, eg TV adverts timed to suit programmes customer base watch.
Yep, NAFF adverts.
But they WORK !!!
Last year a chubby kid eating an ice cream.
This year, a voice over by Paddy McGuiness. Both from memory.
They are annoyingly memorable if perhaps for the wrong reasons.
SP 180p tomorrow
Thanks for that info.
Yes I agree the adverts are naf but perhaps they appeal to the right audience for these type of holidays?!
Alessandro, reading your posts you are clearly comfortable with analysing accounts data and fair value. A question for you, do you make any allowance for current trends that are perhaps difficult to quantify but may feed into the figures? Positives I have in mind include interest rates peaking, the resolution of the dispute with Ryanair, savings in ongoing legal fees etc.
SP on the move prior to tomorrows interims/TU
Surprised it’s so late
Lets not forget tomorrow is interim results rather than a TU......but no doubt get some update too. These shares are too cheap IMHO
Allessandro
Better then the EXPECTED “GOOD” TU imo
Swift rise in early trading will present a problem buying imo.
I’m often wrong but risk reward is excellent on OTB if bought today
Dan - Prospects for reliable (i.e., predictable) earnings. I don't like much the adjusted figures and we can't look far back in time as Covid screwed the records. Based on statutory, last FY PBT came in short of £13m. Assume OTB posts £26m PBT then I would expect a fair valuation of £500m. However, these days a PE of 20 is not so common on the LSE. Historically OTB has been overpriced, that's why the colossal fall. Don't expect previous highs any time soon.
The market is waiting to see what figures will OTB announce. If they are positive I am happy to jump in at a higher than today's valuation, I don't have much appetite for taking a gamble these days. If I get lucky I may even take advantage of a temporary drop. OTB tend to see advertising cost as a special item, which is not the case. Advertising in an essential and repeated cost, you don't retain a brand image without advertising. Btw, and that has nothing to do with my opinion on the stock, the advertising campaign is an eyesore. It chases away all people not particularly into the model of a chavvy family life. But apparently we have plenty of supply of chavs in the world, or OTB wouldn't be so cash rich/generative.
Hopefully we will get some positive figures and a confident outlook for the summer.
Don’t usually take much notice of broker share price forecasts but £2.50 doesn’t seem unreasonable.
Allesandro what valuation yard stick are you using to calculate a fair share price?
