Welcome Crawshaw and you won’t be disappointed, we all submit good posts and help keep each other informed and see both the positives and possibilities of ORCH.
Too right - quiet LSE boards nowadays is generally a good thing.
I've started a position here this morning, nice to see a quiet board.
See RNS and follow link to register to be part of the PI - Bond investors online roadshow tomorrow and next week.
Didn't see the roadshow, how do PIs invest in the bonds pls?
It is not confirmed! I read the RNS.
Come on Pete make the effort to read the RNS…
“it is proposed that the bonds would have a five year life, pay a target annual coupon of circa 6 per cent.”
Great buying and rise today , I see 57p, by the end of tomorrow!! Onwards and upwards, plus great to see the bond roadshow, I will join the online roadshow and see what offers will be offered, if they offer 3 and 5 year bonds at a fixed 3.5 - 5 % then I will have some of that! But if at 2-2.5% then no thanks!
Hi Pete
Not me. I went on the website earlier to find more about the bond issue but couldn’t see anything. Anyone know anything please?
I’m sticking and not adding , in hold pattern for 18 months and stick on 1,001,111.
If I do add any at all it will always be a figure 1,111.
I’m not sure whether I will buy into the bond issue, unless the return is above 3.5%??
Is that you topping up Belfry17 or P,awful, ready for bond issue, good news in March and continued growth and sp climb in 2022?
Great news! I think the tick up and buys will be steady now each week up 2p, if the interest and wider market catch on and see this cat bounce - triple bag if an acquisition interest?
I am indeed but the amount is a little out of date much closer to 4% now.
Are you Stuart 700,000 announced?
That is a great article, that, and that is why I originally went in last year. It shows how good value it is.
Pete, I am a buyer here now. I do like this company an extremely focused business and the CEO has a long track record in the industry and well connected too. He was NED at Honeycomb Investment Trust and clearly sees orchard as his baby and intends to grow the business with or without a banking license.
You can see from his 30-minute introduction to the company on their website how enthusiastic he is (in his own way) and that is enough for me.

Broker note Oct 21
Orchard’s FY21 PBT of £1.05m is 13% ahead of our forecasts driven by better loan growth of 9.4% YoY to £29.9m (LibE: £28.0m) highlighting the resilience of the core insurance business while the group continues to explore new markets for future growth opportunities. However, management expect demand for their products to remain subdued over the next 12 months and as such, we now expect a material recovery in lending to be delayed to FY23E. Despite the challenging environment the group has declared an unchanged FY21 DPS of 3.0p evidencing the group’s strong balance sheet and cost-effective supply of liquidity. Based on our revised estimates we reduce our TP to 66p (from 71p) although we maintain our BUY rating given it offers 20% upside to the current share price.

Great ORCH article - https://gambleinvests.com/orchard-funding-group-a-premium-finance-lender-at-69-of-net-current-asset-value/
Playful, what do you mean putting your head above parapet? Buying big amount or dumping?
It is good Belfry17 and Playful, that you are onboard and believe in the Company and BOD potential to take ORCH to the next level!
This I see ticking up by 2p a share each week as more see potential and get into this share at 53/55/57 and onto 65p, by 6 months report in March. Then onto hopefully banking licence application at the end of year November/December?
ORCH will then double on that alone, or treble if acquired?
This will hopefully stay under the radar for a few months to allow small investors to get in at what I think is level 1, I was lucky to get in at basement level of 49p, onwards and upwards!!
Ah, so you are one of or the big recent buyer?
I will be popping my head above the parapet shortly.
In times where growth tech stocks are really struggling, you’d hope this one is a fairly ‘safe bet’ based on the balance sheet, price and divi.
Has anyone had any thoughts about rising rates and how that affects us? Is it as simple as we pass on the extra cost to the client? Banks tend to do well in times like this, so could we too?
Another great dealing and uptick again today!! The message and bargain / divi and future growth and interest is out!
I think Pandemic coming to an end, plus the 3p, divi per year, plus growth and future potential is what news is getting out! It is cheap, solid and well run, plus with future ahead of banking licence hopefully by year end, consolidation of current and future clients, as well as the better finance rates with the new asset backer / HSBC or Toyota I think, means lower overheads and more profit for ORCH.
With shares well below NAV and sp based against assets and liabilities like Belfry17 posted below, this should be at 75p!!
A nice rise to 62-65p, plus more communication and notice to the wider market and this share could easily be an acquisition target with huge potential!
Afternoon Pete, Baffled by the SP but still a fan. Buying every month now. This did spike before and retraced so I might sell some into strength. Huge volume today so hopefully something is up!
