From CNBC the commitee's comments on US shale SHALE IMPACT Ministers were also keen to highlight that any increase in high-cost U.S. shale oil production as a result of rising oil prices would be absorbed by rising demand. "We are not worried that production in the U.S. is increasing as prices go up because I think this will be absorbed by an increase in demand," Al-Marzouq said. Qatari Energy Minister Mohammed Al-Sada said with increasing demand "shale oil will all be catered for". Russia's Novak also said he was not worried about higher oil output in the United States. OPEC and non opec producers are meeting today so will get an idea of the level of compliance to the cuts.
Yes I think prices will stay lower for reasonably long time, OPEC will try and get some control over the situation and reduce the surplus and then try to creep prices up very slowley....if oil could be in low 60's by end of year id be happy with that....time will tell though
what about the shale revolution? Can we expect excess supply for longer and lower oil prices?
Well I decided to take the plunge today after a bit more research, 93.5 for a long term hold, will take a bit more if it drifts
once a sexx god, alwayz a sex godd your da man.
Underperformer is good, eventually oil will be in fashion again and people will see value then. Got round to some research and there was a rights issue a few years ago fr about 170ish million ifbi remember right but still hugely down off the highs. The management seem really sensible which is good...onlynthing I cant find is the rns with the projected financials for fortuna if any one knows when they were released let me kniw so I can have a read....think someone on here said that with the newvdeal they were looking at $200 mil a year but just want to confirm that before I take some....seems a solid company though and think ill have some soon and hang around for fortuna producing and oil shares to be fashionable again
To the best of my knowledge I can't recall any dilution in the shares, just a underperformer.
lost me there mate...hows life in sunny s****horpe
one word,bee gees.lol.
Not sure why it put the giberish but I wrote six pounds
Was just wondering back when this was £6 per share were there a lot less issued shares?
Again, should be well over the pound now, really frustrating.
agree but appear to b burning cash quick
Agreed, all looks good but unfortunately the SP never seems to reflect it. For some reason this company never seems to excite investors, even though is well run with good production/assets no debt.Other oil companies seem to have benefited more from the improved oil price /sentiment than this one.Hopefully our time will come soon.GLA
Very satisfactory report today. What's not to like here?
Salamander starting to look like a very shrewd move !!
Always difficult t no when t sell.but feel theres much further t rise yet.
Cashed out me self and trousered the cash. May come back in if it drifts a bit lower.
Opec cutting production.looking good 4 oil to move much higher.ophir will follow suit.expect fortuna t b signed off at some time soon
Massive play on crude price if as I suspect this tops $80 a barrel by March this could easily bag from here. Who knows where oil could go from here, at least every time I fill up at the petrol station and the price has jumped a few pence I can at least think these are compensating me. Happy New Year and good luck to any holders.
Broken througth year high looking good t really push 4ward now.
