Nice to see our main holder increase their position since last declaration by another +2% to 13.7%
Also, Blackrock closing shorts and opening longs.
What's your view on the RNS nkotb? they were not required to do that imho why now?
Amazed at the price, even with the Fortuna news. Doesn't make sense really, if over 80% has gone to institutions.
Pure speculation - but maybe H&W are loading up on behalf of a client i.e. Medco?!

I don’t understand these RNS’s regarding holdings, could someone please explain the basics of them? The Faroe petroleum one says unit price 160p?
if no offer why bother with this RNS ? done deal imho
Also there was a 1 trade a few mins before the RNS.
Am I wrong but why remind the market of the rules if no deal was coming does not make sense and the company is not required to do this imho?
Yep,
"Opening Position Disclosures must also be made by the offeree company and by any offeror and Dealing Disclosures must also be made by the offeree company, by any offeror and by any persons acting in concert with any of them "
So by the 15th cob, we will know the full picture.
interesting reminder there from the company NKOTB they did not need to do that and then reminded the market any deal will cash
Some orders filled there imho
Many of the large share holders have been involved since the Dominion days so I cannot see them agreeing to this being sold for less than £1.
The directors also have high averages so it is in their interest to push for a high offer.
That will 'coincidentally' match up with our board announcing a trading update ..... an update that will imo show much better progress than expected on our producing assets and cash/debt position.
All holders of +1% need to declare their positions within 10 working days of the RNS. That will take us to the 15th
NewKOTB - apologies if already answered somewhere but why is the 15th significant if Medco have until the end of the month to firm up their position?
duster,
Cavendish is clearly working for some one, how else could you explain the posts.
Come the 15th, we will fully understand all the institutions positions with this stock and able to draw our own conclusions.
Remember, all dealings have to be reported via 8.5 otherwise they fall foul of the law whilst in an offer period.
No, repeat NO large selling has taken place by any institution to date since the possible offer RNS and we are looking at close to 100% of this stock being held by said institutions. Don't forget, ones below 1% or 7,000,000 shares do not need to declare. how many of these do we have ? These are the ones atm who are running the BoT's imo
gla
lol .....
it was 35p before the bid E.g. was a write off on the books.
Non cash impairment do you not understand basic accounting clearly not this from a man who was scaremo getting here and elsewhere all weekend predicting 10p opening. The market went up Monday.
Yes good point that's why my level was 55p takeout
Senn
jog on mate, been put to bed on Monday
The SP pullback I have low hopes for the TO now. I expect Medco to discuss a low ball offer with the BOD who will reject it leading the Medco pulling out of the TO efforts. Still good value at these levels so I will continue to hold TO or no TO.
interesting just now someone sold 11k shares, within a few seconds the A trades had bought the exact amount back. At 41.7
Froggle - so when do they start pumping it up to the equivalent of 60 from that article?
zedy,
"End of Jan deadline was a mistake by board, two weeks would've been plenty. ..."
Nothing to do with the board, takeover panel rules apply.
By the 15th we could be as high as 95% held by institutions .. amazing level for any stock, let alone one that is apparently about to be sold on the cheap ....
So the push south on our SP is on so they can bag a few more.... time is now running out !!!
"By putting the price down, he may sell 10,000 shares and buy 20,000; hence he has 10,000 shares long at the lower prices of his range of accumulation" (R.Wyckoff)
