Michael Grade arrives in early April, sp peaks end of May.
Heavily discounted Placing completed at the end of August.
Unnecessary as the Company is Profitable and has resumed growing
steadily, albeit after a few years of contraction with the advent of streaming.
Then the loan notes in September, again not necessary.
Followed by five months of silence until today.
I agree with your observations and will be interested to read the Full
Year results due soon.
Even after todays acquisition they are still sitting on over £4m of cash. Roughly half is equity cash and the other half issuance of loan notes. Just sitting there doing nothing. In, say, 6/7 months time they'll be paying interest on the loan notes and thats going to be a six figure sum pa.
Not happy with this companies direction. Unless they make some blinding acquisitions and reasonably quickly this is looking like a strategic bloomer. A shame because MI has managed this company impeccably until now.
Acquired Locomotive records for $750k but judging by market reaction train has not left the station.
Strikes me this is not an ‘exciting’ deal. No indication of how earnings enhancing it may be?
Wizard of Oz? Well we all know what he was when the curtain was pulled back!
bonkers ...

huge spread doesn't help..
...small buy by some brave soul @ nearly 5.4 on NEX
..pin drop
and only a wiggle on the SP?

100k buy...

It puzzles me why they stopped the dividend, It made sense, it would encourage growth.
Anyone know why? and will it ever be reinstated.
As the comments go they are too quiet, I have waited, as ever. but no really interesting news.
Has technology tried to go too far, too quick.
Or perhaps they are just waiting for the right signals.
A few months ago I made the suggestion OMIP might buy 7DIG from administration.
7DIG's rivals dwarf it in terms of resources and on reflection I doubt OMIP have the
muscle, even buying debt free at a pound, to take it on.
On reflection I doubt OMIP have ever considered such a move.
Which leaves me wondering what OMIP's recent cash building will produce.
Ridiculous spread.... took some good profit earlier in the year. worth hanging onto imo. Might even buy back in at this level. market cap is less than funds raised in 2018. Still undervalued.Just waiting for the next deal I reckon. Nothing earth shattering but the business still looks solid underneath
still there: some selling @c4.4 over on altmarket
& the spread is still eyewatering
Jolly - agreed
Suspect if it continues to fail under current management it will be taken out on the cheap.
thanks, Dibs
yes, Simon C has been promising imminent +fcf for so long
that it's hard to take his views seriously
and now that there's a wedge of "insider" debt
who knows what future dilutionary horrors
lurk?
...pity..cos I like what little I understand of the space/potential
HNY to you also. :)
Oh 7dig....well growing quite quickly but I don't like this from the interims:
"In the six months to 30 June 2018, the Group had a cash outflow from operating activities of £3.0m (H1 2017: £1.6m). At 30 June 2018 cash in bank was £0.7m (H1 2017: £0.9m)."
So although at an operating level they are reducing losses no sign of an improvement at the cashflow level.
Plus they have further dilution (15%) or so coming this year re convertible stock.
Watching but no more atm
what do reckon, Dibs61?
Jolly well get
my skates on
Happy New Year
Jolly buying back in....?
turning?
spread really is more than 10% (which puts me off buying back those sold @11p+)

While Michael swans about in ‘The Big Apple’ the SP isn’t so fruity. Indeed it’s rotten to the core. Zero buyers. No interest and a few bored sellers.
Still annoyed with the vague and pointless trading statement earlier this month. Nothing we didn’t know and absolutely no sign of any deals.
And get a deal done!
The SP is dying a death here.
getting closer
It’s a very interesting thought. I guess it hadn’t occurred to me since the two companies have rather different business models. True they are in the same industry as it were. But OMIP are all about exploiting music IP rights whilst 7DIG offer B2B streaming platform solutions as well.
I don’t rate 7DIG management to make it a successful profitable enterprise but I could imagine that with MI and ID at the helm they could transform their business. Watch this space I suppose...
The way things are going will OMIP buy 7DIG from administration
or pick them up for a fraction of a penny per share, before they go pop.
