oh look a tumbleweed just blew past me ...
I see 08:28 120,530 @ 16.5 & 08:28 69,392 @ 16.5 on ISDX and less than 7K sold at 15.7 pence. No trades on LSE yet and we are down ?
I was still unsure where best to put what little money I have left that's not already tied up and have just got back from a holiday in Rome so I haven't invested in yet. But I wish I had got in at that slight dip earlier because you're right - this stock has got loads going for it. I'll definitely be investing in the near future.
Quick question what price was the new equity raise shares due tomorrow
Hope you decided to invest in OMIP, still plenty of mileage in this stock
Libero, apart from the London Stock Exchange Aim, One Media also trades on the ISDX Market which used to be known as the Plus Market (Before that Plus was known as Ofex) This is the link http://www.lse.co.uk/ShareChat.asp?ShareTicker=OMIP There were certainly a number of sells on ISDX on Friday. Be aware that Aim may yet list delayed trades on Monday.
On Friday the SP dropped about 8% and yet there were 12,000 shares sold and 136,000 shares bought...
Your advice has made me more certain about investing into OMIP. I am now just trying to work out whether this is still undervalued at the current price? And, to an extent, whether it matters when it has such good prospects and is clearly a Warren Buffett-esque stock. Considering I have just bought myself a holiday to Rome next week (which cost me a bit) it's made me more inclined to hold back on spending anymore. Doesn't mean I will though haha! Decisions decisions... But thanks nonetheless for your thoughts :)
I think can confirm, when OMIP was on PLUS, it has grown considerably and as stated before, I never saw a bad RNS on PLUS MKT. I tried buying when they wer about 4p, but have watched them since the 3p days, but due to not having a nominee account, I was unable to buy them, otherwise I would have bought 4 x times as many of what I hold now. Libero, Nextlink has been there pretty much from the begining, therefore a good endorsement of OMIP and Bigrig and others are very pro-OMIP. Your money, you decision, good luck whatever you decide
Libero, could be many reasons as to drop, like Bigrig's post, profit takers etc. but nothing has changed regarding company fundamentals, paying another, divi, cash positive, debt free, to me it is a winner. Hard call when to buy in, no-one expected drop like this today, so unfortunately no guarantee, that if you bought now, that there won't be a further drop. Either way, when drop has finished, price will inrease again, IMHO, but as folk say, dyor, and I hope if and when you do invest, that it is one you don't regret
SP has had a significant rise in the weeks leading up to this Trading Update and Dividend Declaration. Remember the old saying, "Buy the rumour, sell the fact". News today has been good, they have concluded further acquisitions. They have also made one off payments on some existing deals, which will save money year after year, on annual royalty payments no longer due. I cannot tell whether there are more sells than buys or vice versa. Assuming you are not thinking of buying on extended settlement and can buy outright. All you have to ask yourself is are these undervalued, neutral or overvalued at today,s prices, lower than yesterday. If it helps - I bought quite a few at 3.2 pence years ago. At the time they were little known and I felt I had taken a significant risk. For or all I could tell I might find in the years ahead I had lost the lot. Since then I've had a few dividend payments and the sp is a lot higher. I've been buying at ever higher prices and still have that core holding.
Any idea what is causing this? It looks like the best possible entry point could now, could be some time next week. I can't tell.
Hi, yeah great news this morning hence the drop! What's all that about then? Profit takers maybe? Anyway as you said, a great job being done by the management, so i'm going nowhere. GLA Bigrig
Another divi to be paid soon, may be a good entry whilst price on decline and before ex-divi date, AIMHO. Not for me to advise investing or not, but as previously stated in many of my postings, I have never yet read a bad RNS on here or on previous PLUS MKT, listing. All investments on AIM have a degree of risk, but I truly believe OMIP, is a stock where the risk has been limited due the pedigree of management team
CP22 is a she :-) Libero, OMIP, is a brilliant, well run company, debt free etc. IMHO, a great stock to hold
Oh silly me haha!
Sorry but where did you hear that? As someone who has been watching this share closely for the last fortnight, looking for the right entry point, this is of particular interest to me.
to add, issue of equity at 3p per share, and 5 billion more shares coming to the market tomorrow
OMIP, please put out a bad rns, like being in debt, below market expectations, no foreseeable dividends, no longer can afford an AIM listing, and accounts are late, hence, temporary suspension, then hopefully the share price will rise by 100% today
RNS x 3, debt free, profitable and paying another divi. Excellent results, superb growth, brilliant management, this company is going places and although I topsliced the other day, my main holding is staying steadfast, this has to be one of the best, if not the best company on AIM. Great job done by all at OMIP
Nothing wrong with taking a profit and spreading risk. I'd be the first to agree that One Media is not the bargain at this sp that it was earlier in the year. However I'm still increasing my holding, on the basis it pays a dividend, is debt free and so far, has had significant growth. Sold a gold play in wife's trading (ie non isa account) today, booked a nice profit. May regret it or buy in again after a sharp drop. Certainly more relaxed with OMIP than many Aim shares I could mention.
risk/reward factors is what I meant to write
Nextlink, I sold 30, 000 today. Thought best to take some profit and reinvest elsewhere. Still have my original core holding and will not be selling them. Saw a great opportunity today to buy in a stock that had given good RNS, so sold a few stocks to fund purhase of a couple more stocks. May regret decision to have topsliced, but dealing in AIM shares there is always the reward factors Still believe OMIP is one of the best stocks on AIM
On 25th October a 30,000 trade at 16.43 pence was recorded as a sell - which I am sure it was. As was a trade at 16.44 pence on ISDX at 13.04 the same day. Today 28th October a further 30,000 trade at 16.375 was left recorded as neither a buy or a sell. I am sure it was a further sell. That leads me to the conclusion today's last trade of the day of 53,000 shares at 16.61 pence was a buy, at a very keen price, as three earlier trades were at higher prices.
I would say to you do all the research you can on this company, don't make any rash decisions soley based on what anybody on here has posted including myself. My opinion is that no you have not missed the boat here. I think Omip being a relatively young company, has lots of potential to grow in the medium to long term. Again this is just my opinion based on my own research and (for what it's worth) my gut instinct. There are probably better qualified people than myself invested here who can give you more technical and fundamental reasons as to why you should invest here than i can. But at the end of the day it will be your decision. Good luck what ever you decide. B
