Yep 4-5 days per drill and 3 days lab turnaround. It should equate to results every week. Funding in place ready to go.
From 5p to 44p in 13 trading days back in Sep/Oct '20. That was because of the planned drill program. OMI is now arguably in a much better place as Brad controls the drilling and we have all heard the good news about shallow holes (cheaper) and quicker turnaround from the Medellin lab.
5p to 44p in 13 trading days. That is what can happen here as the float is so low. I and many others have 7 figure holdings and for me not one share will be sold in the single digits.
Hi, Islandgirl
It was the same company, Newmont, that exited, and caused a sharp fall in the share price, first to GGP, in January 2018, and more recently to us. Newcrest later stepped in to develop Havieron; and Newmont bought Newcrest last November.
I'm no great admirer of Newmont, and reckon we're better off without them. Whether OMI follows the subsequent behaviour of GGP remains to be seen. Unlikely, because Colombia is a much more difficult jurisdiction than Australia; the government may throw a spanner in the works; but not impossible.
That would be lovely. 3m would be better
Wonder if we see another 2m buy after close.
You could see a gap up to 6p today or Tuesday
They both have similarities in that the big boys walked away and lived to regret it
Will we ever see the recovery back to 38p…
I believe so..
Too underrated currently
GL
Gap to be filled at 6-6.5p
Just take a look at the weekly candle and the volume. When you factor in how much placing overhang there has been to clear as well, then it's clear that this is going to BOOM!
So far the grades are outstanding as were GGP.
V cheap drilling here also.
Ggp Mark 2 if the grades are good
Yes true transformational wealth play here.
This is gearing up to be the top performing AIM goldie next month. Whilst most of us are expecting a RNS towards the end of April, imagine if we get an RNS in early April, giving an update on drilling plans. Also, BG has said he will be doing a webinar on Pepas. Hopefully there will be lots of media and tweets throughout April and May.
LOTS of money still to come in here. Only a few days left to quietly accumulate under 5p.
Brad says 4-5 day shallow drills with 3 day lab turnaround. Rapid news period to commence.
Market just starting to wake up to the potential here.
Expect plenty to be looking in over the long weekend and hopefully some nice exposire via the press would be great to see this race out the gate first thing next Tuesday.
Another compressed trading week next week to hoover up the cheap stock whilst it's on offer.
Looking good for a solid SP rally right through April into May and with the local lab times turning around assay results so quickly going to be some exciting weeks finally for all OMI holders!!
Manyfold*
Newmont had the opportunity to buy Burritica but settled for small change from the Chinese. The resource size multiplied manifold and is now in production. Amazing setup. The resource size is open
And then look at the price of gold was then, to what it is now, and where it is headed! The mind boggles what this could be worth, and will surely be on many a large company radar, and here we sit at 8mil MC, with full control moving forward....And just like that, it all changes. Exciting times lay ahead for holders, and traders here
So $1.3 billion for us is about £5 a share…or have I messed that up?
BEIJING — Zijin Mining Group Co Ltd , one of China’s biggest gold miners, has agreed to buy Continental Gold Inc for $1.33 billion, saying the purchase would increase its gold reserves and boost cash flow as well as profit.
The Buritica project, located in Colombia, has measured and indicated gold reserves of 165.47 tonnes and an inferred reserve of 187.24 tonnes, Zijin said
Sorry that’s meant to say Burritica is now in production with the Chinese who hoard their gold.
Newmont also had a stake in Burritica, 20%. They sold to the Chinese company; can’t remember its name.
Initial gold estimate 1.6moz grew to 3moz then 5moz then 10moz and geologists say the further they drill the more they find. They are not producing. Mine entrance at valley floor advancing forward and up. They say the resource size is mirrored below the entry level doubling the resources to 20moz minimum
Newmont missed out again they have form on this.
Same with ggp they sidestepped and Newcrest came in. Newmonts game is to buy out Newcrest they are at that level but their exploration techniques are secondary to their success.
Our neighbours who sold for $1.3billion to the Chinese

So base case 2Moz in one area. Huge grades.
