Hi, I see we are in the same boat. Presently if the takeover was completed as I write ,then selling would net you an advantage, otherwise you would have to speculate as to how cme will perform. It's one of those dammed if I will or won't. Then again a bird in the hand? Thanks
Hiya Has anyone got any views on to selling at these highs or would you be better off waiting for the takeover to go through... Any advice would be welcome. Thanks.
I was wondering if you have a view .Would you sell now at approximately 1064 or hold and follow thru with the cme takeover. Thanks
28th March 2018 Statement re press speculation The Board of NEX Group plc ("NEX") notes this afternoon's press speculation and confirms that it has received a non-binding proposal from CME Group Inc. ("CME") regarding a potential acquisition of NEX at a price of 10 per share. Discussions are at an advanced stage; there can be no certainty that an offer for NEX will be made, nor as to the terms of any offer. A further announcement will be made if appropriate. In accordance with Rule 2.6(a) of the Code, CME must, by not later than 5.00 pm on 12th April 2018, either announce a firm intention to make an offer for NEX in accordance with Rule 2.7 of the Code or announce that it does not intend to make an offer for NEX, in which case the announcement will be treated as a statement to which Rule 2.8 of the Code applies. This deadline can be extended with the consent of the Panel on Takeovers and Mergers in accordance with Rule 2.6(c) of the Code. This announcement has been made without the consent of CME. In accordance with Rule 26.1 of the Code, a copy of this announcement will be available on NEX's website (http://www.nex.com/investors/possible-offer) by no later than 12 noon (London time) on the business day following the date of this announcement. Ten Pounds per share. ---------------- Speculation in the City on Wednesday suggested CME was shortly to announce an agreed takeover of up to 10 per share that would value Nex, the company formerly known as ICAP, at nearly 3.7bn, the Financial Times reported.
Of course, we are yet to hear what the initial CME offer price is ... anyone care to moot one? -- BB --
Interesting update, no wonder the strong bounce. US tax changes could cause quite a boon for other AIM listed stocks if they have the exposure to markets abroad
Stops taken out? Reaction seems overdone to me (not exactly a profit warning). Revenues up well (7% in constant currency, 13% otherwise). Forward guidance seems on track too.
at this price. Look at the RSI!
I dipped my toe in on Friday sub 500. Never got in at anywhere near the bottom but I'm not to bothered as I still feel there's plenty of room for share price growth from current level. " New Company " seems to have been well received by market with plenty of trades and volume right from day one. Not a long timer for me but " I've said that before " Thought they got a bit of " cake and eat it " with the formation of the new company. Presumably that part of the business they offloaded to TP ICAP was the least profitable part of the old business, however they've managed indirectly to hold onto a significant interest in it through the terms of the sale. D.
The Times tip for NXG has helped. Yes! I'm in and have held since the former EXCO floatation.
New company (nxg) out of old company (icap) minus some of the old company assets, not to mention major share consolidation to boot. Top man buying big but then again he's one of the richest guys in the country. Loads of research needed, no fudamentals for (nxg) yet, so (icap) is the place to start " I think " Be interested to hear if any other Pi's are looking here. D.
