I'm in mate picked up a nice slab at 18.5p. Share your sentiment.
There is great upside here - the TGIF Inc deal plus the constant director buys must indicate this. Also several analysts think 55p is a reasonable short to mid term target - the price to book here is minimal - I cant understand why no one is talking about this but ARE talking about many dodgy rubbish AIM shares !!!
Since jun last year -- have people given up ?
The flurry of buying this morning and last week may be related. Buying at 23p this morning
"Hostmore plc (the "Company"), announces that Julie McEwan, its Chief Executive Officer, has today issued a letter (the "Irrevocable Instruction Letter") to Numis Securities Limited ("Numis") and the Company pursuant to which, from 5 June 2023 to 31 May 2024 (inclusive), she irrevocably instructs Numis to purchase ordinary shares in the Company on behalf of herself on a monthly basis (the "Share Purchases").
The Irrevocable Instruction Letter cannot be varied or terminated (other than as a result of it expiring at the end of its term or Numis terminating it in accordance with its terms): (a) during a closed period (as defined in the Market Abuse Regulation (as applied in the United Kingdom)) of the Company; or (b) when the Company and/or Julie McEwan is in possession of inside information.
A further announcement will be made on completion of the Share Purchases in each month."
Strange RNS. Never come across this sort of "Irrevocable Instruction Letter" before. Presume it's designed to engender confidence, but why would you commit yourself to monthly share purchases at unknown prices over the next 12 months? No mention as to the quantum of the financial commitment either. Weird.
I would imagine its from the recovery period coming out of Covid and lockdowns.
Can anyone explain the 90million annual loss in the results? Surely that is much worse than expected?
Lol, market seems to like it this morning tho'
Oh dear! They decided to release results at 18.23 on the Friday before a Bank Holiday.

So, obviously, they were excited to share the news.
Think the sector is on the up..xpf,mars etc
Share price has risen 25% over the past 2 days... can anyone see a specific reason?
I thought that trading update was okay. And as for the CEO change, wouldn't you love to be a fly on the wall in that boardroom. Perhaps some influence from Mr Bramson?
Anyway today I hope was a good entry price.
Ditto ... :)
Still not happened...anyway waiting for that whoosh moment...it's coming...atb

Must admit the name had me confused (easily done!!). Thanks for the clarification.
Hard to see why LSE cannot correct their mistake. Name is important.
I emailed lse to ask them to update .
It's not called Monreal. It's called Hostmore. Monreal was the name of the company with the 'more' ticket previously which LSE have failed to update.
Just watched the 21st Sep 22 presentation. Perplexed that it is a franchise operation....I also want to know what watch the CEO had on, the size of a dinner plate.....very nice....very tasty. Probably a treat to self for how things went last year with the market float of the business. Easy monreal
Am I right in assumpting that the company - Hostmore- listed about a year ago at circa 120p? They changed their name to Monreal along the way and are now worth 90% less!!
Easy money for some....presumably the private equity business who spotted the opportunity to make some sweet money from the post pandemic eating out bonanza/fad. Someone made some easy money.
Get real with Monreal....moneyreal....oh, bruvver!
Lots of management being paid to run a £100m plus business that is actually valued at a fraction of that. Where do I sign up?!
Irony is the private equity may buy the business back having trousered their suitcases full of cash. Nice easy money.
Expect a trading update within next few weeks
Starting to quiver !
...10 x this price (almost) a year ago !
Starting to get a bit livelier buying wise now....maybe Xmas trade going well.
