Foreign divis nearly always have a withholding tax and if it is higher than the reduced rate per the DTA, you cannot deduct the excess. I find it ironic that swiss is the highest rate.
Just read that as its a pension fund, i wont pay any taxes on dividends here.
Im new to this and only took over my pension portfolio last November. Focusing on PM miners and doing well so far, but charts now looking dodgy. Im a 'believer' in price suppression and charts look to me like that game is back in play - this week will tell more as we are now squarely at trend support. Im in ireland so i dont know if the same tax laws apply. could you point me to a link (about the taxes on divs) so i can talk to my broker about it. I wasnt aware that the dividend would be taxed.
Agree completely.interested to know who is ur broker redivi. Saxo seem make sure big eccess taxnot deducted,aj bell dont bother to help.we can revover excess but aint easy, workin up to that ! But with 10% still good. Notjing personal but putin is NOT inleaugue with oligarchs.Yeltsin gave away russia s wealth to those badtards.putin took over a dire situation6 months wages unpaid etc.since the oli s are nearly alljoos with Usa support, he couldnt just reverse the totaly fraudulent "privatisations".
yes - recently bought too. The 10% dividend was tempting, as it seemed baked into the companys outlook on how to do business, although that is now 'up for discussion'. I bought for the following reasons: - Commands a significant portion of the world share of Pt & Pd. I think this could be a huge plus if there is more unrest in SA, which it seems is always possible, if not probable. - Company is strategically important to Russia which makes me think that the mines could never be 'let fail'. That is not to say the keys wont be handed over to some other pet oligarch - In a last man standing nickel price war - Norilsk will be last man, as its nickel production costs are literally below zero (the mine by product more than pays the bill) Im in with a small position that im hoping to keep (rather than trade) as a long term position in my pension portfolio. what are your thoughts?
seems the most promising area of the lousy resource scene had an interest for a while but only recently pressed the button.
Just me! My first post on these boards. Your interested in Norilsk too I take it?
anyone there ?
You can probably tell I'm relatively new to this game, but so far made some good / lucky choices!. So if I can't buy using iii, what investor would you suggest I use to purchase these?
it's a US company
this share?? I use iii and it is not listed there so I'm struggling to buy this. I also can't see it listed on the bbc.co.uk business pages markets.
10:1 - see google finance
What was the reason for the massive drop in price in Feb? I cannot find anything about it.
