Let's go!
CHINA BANS EXPORTS OF SOME RARE-EARTH PROCESSING TECHNOLOGIES
Good shout :)
I'm sure we've all noticed the imminent Golden Cross on the daily at 10p too - look out for that print if they go for it ...
Should land by year end as they need a result for annual bonuses
Feeling it too - also took a few earlier.
I’ve got a feeling in my water, hoping it’s the MDA RNS on the morning and not cystitis 😂
I can feel it in the air tonight... oh Lord!
Topped up as well
I’m feeling lucky, added a few more today/twice. Seen the cows in the local field with their legs in the air, it’s a good omen. That’s what I like about share dealing
GLA
Couple of nice Chunky buys there. Clearly lots of people accumulating behind the scenes.
Shame not not get the MDA this year. I do wish thr malawi gov would stop getting our hopes up. Not sure how much more my blood pressure can take!
All looking good though.
Time to log off for Christmas. If the MDA lands in the next 3 days I'll be pleasantly surprised and possibly in the hospital with a heart attack.
Shocking looking at SP, tbh SP is irrelevant except for the case I'd prefer the MDA to drop at a higher price to start the ball rolling from a better price! As we all know there are "Superb" rolling catalysts that will come after 'MDA', funding, (for which I believe has already been put in place and just waiting on licence), Pulawy processing completion/separate off-takes and of course the high value carat diamond in the rough, "Hypromag" and it's global roll out starting with the U.K, then U.S and Germany! With further centres in Asia and Australia TBA, as we know Dawes has been on travels recently expanding the Hypromag PF.
The current market cap is pathetic and therefore the share price, the only advantage from this is the ability to accumulate more as we are most evidently the closest we have ever been before for the Licence, and of that there's no doubt it's coming!
......and still people unloading this morning - not very festive at all!
What is of worthy note and makes Songwe compelling to get Western backing is its local support and EISHA those two things are very CRMA box tickers..
'As reported in our front page article, after 13-years of intensive mineral exploration investing over US$30-million, UK firm Mkango Resources is now on the brink of getting a signed Mining Development Agreement and Mining Licence from the Malawi Government for the Songwe Hill Rare Earth Prospect in Phalombe.
This was confirmed when Minister of Mining Monica Chang’anamuno visited the project where she expressed satisfaction with the activities that have been carried out at the site.
Her visit came after Mkango concluded all exploration works and completed and published a final definitive feasibility study on the Songwe Hill rare earth deposit as well as completing a full Environmental, Social and Health Impact Assessment (ESHIA) which was approved and signed off by the Malawi Environment Protection Authority (MEPA) in February this year.
Chang’anamuno explained that the Government is in the process of finalising negotiations for the MDA with Mkango so that the company can raise funds from banks and investors to construct the rare earths mine.
We commend the Malawi Government and Mkango for advancing the negotiations to this stage.
We agree with the Minister that the project will significantly contribute to Malawi’s economy through payment of royalties and other taxes while Malawians including people of Phalombe and Migowi will get jobs and various wealth creation opportunities emanating from the project.
From our perspective, it is not only the work that the company has done in mineral exploration that qualifies it to get the MDA but also the cordial relations Mkango has established with Malawians especially the local community.
Mkango enjoys very good relations with the community as it has in all these years been executing a number of corporate social responsibility activities.
Its interventions included response to disasters which has seen the company donating various items to assist the community in times of disasters including the recent Cyclone Freddy.
Mkango has also assisted in the area of education by painting classrooms of three primary schools in the vicinity of the project site with some content of the school syllabus to facilitate easy learning by the learners.
The Company also introduced a school feeding programme and has been running a scholarship programme for top performing students from the beneficiary primary schools sponsoring their education up to University.
Besides, Mkango, which prioritises employing locals, has constructed access roads, bridges and repaired boreholes in the area.'

Mkango Announces Resignation of Non-Executive Director
Mkango Resources Ltd. regrets to announce that Stephen Motteram has stepped down from his position as the Talaxis Nominated Director on the Mkango Board, following his resignation from Noble Resources Trading Ltd.
He is headed for supposedly greener rare earth pastures as a CFO at ASM
I also note that the mda deadlines (all over last 12-18months) have never been made or suggested by the mka board.
Its a tightly run ship. Expense has always been essential e.g. DFS but outside of that it's minimal, lights on stuff.
Looking forward to 2024 with this one, I can see at least triple from today's price. Even without MDA.
Yep, in my mind it's a fully inked, fundable document by now, needing only a few tweeks, tweeks that are issues that the Malawi Government are sorting "We just have a few things to sort" has been banded about a few times. So, while it isn't MKA's deadline we are waiting for Malawi who have said YE. If it runs into Jan then so be it, not MKA's fault and maybe another 10p buying opportunity. I'm truly very excited about the prospects here.
I'm optimistic about the MDA too to my mind it is well on its way I just can't put a date on it and it is best not to dwell on it must arrive by year-end as that is a wholly Malawian government target, not a Mkango one, although of course it could well arrive any day.... The only thing I don't get is the negativity towards even bothering with it, yes the frustration I do get... but like WTF it's the keystone to the entire Mine Refine Recycle plan being pulled off so it needs to be done in a way that makes the mines financing a big green light and that is what Mkango will be negotiating with the Malawian Gov for an MDA that means it never turns into a mine due to it being impossible to gain finance for it is of no use to anyone least of all Malawians....Once it is in place though OMGs the newsflow could be some of the best seen on AIM in 2024 as it is the perfect EU CRMA and western REE non-China reliant solution package that will surely get supported and financed all the way....at this stage still a gamble though :)
I'm a bit more optimistic, but I choose to live in June 2024 where waiting for the MDA is a distant memory, the yanks have thrown 50mil into the US Hypromag pot, the UK plant is making money, Germany has just come online and the EU has stumped up some cash to chuck at Pulawy. Even living in the present, I see it as a bookies special where you can place a bet on Songwe running in the 6.10 at Kempton and you get your money back and more even if it comes last.
Hey, I am a free speech absolutist, nothing will offend me. Say what you want, as far as I am concerned.
I agree some tend to get too excited or too down on these chat boards. Not sure how anyone can still be excited about the MDA right now; all the missed deadlines remind me of various other junior miners, but hopefully their excitement will be justified soon. Would be amazed though if we heard anything now before 2024. Hey ho.
And unlike those other junior jam tomorrow miners, at least the CEO here bought a decent chunk a while ago. It was actually that act which led to my jumping on board myself.
You can be long without abandoning a cautious, even cynical mindset. Be demanding of the BOD, whose salaries are essentially coming out of your pocket. That is not disloyal or in any way unreasonable.
On AIM, I would say any other mentality will take you to the poor house, sooner or later.
Anyway, still holding a few, but in the trading pot. This does not feel like one for investing in just yet. Could change of course. Certainly hope so. Lots to like, but also a few question marks too, at the time of print, IMO.
Happy Christmas all. Will only post here again if we get an MDA update, but naturally you have the filter button regardless. GLA.
