A more robust recovery to Feb levels than I'd expected.
IMO this will fit to British Aerospace like a ring. MGGT will end up like Cobham and this may happen.
Didn't see it on my screens
Anyone?? MGGT just had a massive 28% jump and then it went back again?!
https://pinevillevoice.com/is-meggitt-plc-lsemggt-fairly-valued/
10 yrs? ill be fin dead by then ....i would think it will me at least 80 -90% recovered within 3
I think this is one where you have to take a step back and ask yourself: will passenger traffic ever recover? If (like me) you think in 10 years the world will have moved on and you'll have regional jets whipping back and forth across India and Africa as well as legacy European, Asian, and US travel then at current prices I think you'll likely see >15% FCF yields on MGGT. In the meantime, I'm just pinching my nose and buying... even though it hurts.
moved back up some more already
had hoped for more of a move up today
,maybe when sellers cleared might see bounce
at least ncyt seeing large buys loading up even if no rns yet
when sellers cleared here at mggt then will a bounce be seen ,thinking more would have read rns ,so will a move up be seen soon again
Such a easy day trade share.
ticking up more , now up 8%

better update than thought might have been
at least got update , unlike ncyt unless their update comes later today ,they might be busy having
increased manufacturing to meet demand
pleased to see how mggt share price moving up
and after todays rns ,hoping more of a rise seen today and in future days
I think what's important is it's not as bad as expected and a key piece of information is that they expect to be free cash flow positive for the year as a whole which given the circumstances is pretty remarkable.
Still not delighted they sold that training business when it seems they had ample liquidity anyway.
Great RNS. I just don't understand one thing if someone could clear it up for me... they said they expect second quarter revenue to be lower. Wouldn't this cause a drop in the SP/smaller increase rather than the rise we are seeing today?
Hats off to them they responded quick to the pandemic they deserve this rise. Brilliantly run business.
Enjoy :)
Not sure I see this as good news
Meggitt PLC ("Meggitt" or "the Group"), a leading international company specialising in high performance components and sub-systems for the aerospace, defence and energy markets, today announces the sale of its US subsidiary, Meggitt Training Systems, to Pine Island Capital Partners, LLC, a US private investment firm, for a cash consideration of $146 million.
The sale, which completed on 30 June 2020, was subject to US regulatory approval and follows a process that commenced in 2019. The transaction is consistent with the Group's strategy to focus on businesses of scale in markets where its leading positions offer greater potential for growth and operational efficiencies.
Meggitt Training Systems is a leader in developing and deploying advanced technology-enabled training systems. During the year to 31 December 2019, Meggitt Training Systems generated £104 million revenue, had gross assets of £149 million with profits attributable to the assets of £11.2 million.
The net proceeds will be used by the Group for general corporate purposes and will further strengthen the Group's liquidity.
Another carnage of a day for the ftse.
I take it blackrock are short? might jump on the bandwagon lol buy back at 2.50
Should hopefully get below the £3 mark today. Discipline in key in this game.
I had this debate with myself when deciding whether to buy back into this stock at 290 p last week. The opinion I came to was that what happened during the previous rally was a clear breakaway into a new pricing level and that it was probably unlikely to revisit the previous floor of 240/250 p in the short term.
I think the new short term trading range will likely be somewhere between 290 and 360 p. This definitely looks like a popular stock. When it runs it seems to go off like a rocket.
