Cosmen...yep good name that if ya know what i mean wink ...wink lol!
just to give you guys the heads up, i've bought some more, and never get the bottom, so expect the SP price to get lower lol!
Jorge Cosmen wasn't buying loads of these shares @60s & 70s to flush his family's money down the toilet. He knows better than anyone the true picture here & that in itself is a reason to buy these & hold. I believe any further downside will be hoovered up very quickly indeed! tis will certainly not stay in the 50s for too long IMO!
Scavenger, i think the risks of this going bust are very minimal indeed. This is not an AIM share or anything like that although i know it sometimes feels that way. For me yesterday's stuff was quite reassuring from the going concern/liquidity perspective. I saw nothing there which concerned me at least for the next 2/3 years barring any major catastrophe. I'm really hopeful that Helen Cowing can shake up the show here. She has experience in turnarounds & this is probably one of the biggest recovery/turnaround stories out there potentially at least. It look like the 53 was a firm bottom but probably needs a few more days for confirmation. I'm up to my eyes in this one & down a small fortune but i really do see this one making a strong recovery once the management get their act together. Cowing will be looking to make her mark.Let's hope she can do what the new RR CEO did!
"so how will they make moola LONG-TERM? "
Well they are obviously looking at taking some UK market share and looking for volume in passenger numbers..... push the brand recognition .... with a strong focus on cost control throughout the business
They have been going 3 years or so and in many parts of Europe ...set-up from Munich
@pokerchips
"Coach service offers journeys across the UK for knockdown price of £2 each way"
so how will they make moola LONG-TERM?
THERE is NO provider other than the usless train(always striking) from where i live to LHR, thats why i think NEX will pull through - & hopefully NOT go bust which is my biggest worry, btw nearly bought the low today at 54p lol!
Ah, many a time I have missed a boat with setting a buy order too low. Especially frustrating when it is only by the very smallest of margins!
To dwell on such things is a path to madness though....so don't :)
IMO, buying now is fine, if you have confidence in the direction of travel (pun intended).
I tend to try and be laser focused on prices when trading, and a bit more relaxed (lax perhaps) when the horizon is for the long term investment pot.
Given my investment pot holding is underwater here, perhaps the LTH purchasing strategy I have is best ignored though, lol.

Just to clarify.
Are they delaying the NA sale until after the schools bids are finalised, therefore giving potential suitors clearer future margin potential with improved contracts and inflation linked increases built in ?
Smokey i'm over 250k of these now. I think JG maybe has even more. Deep underwater but i see it as a LT cash cow!
Topped up bought another 80000, must have one of the highest holdings here now at 150k. No brainer that this will get bid in next few weeks. A sitting duck, if the Cosmens want the business there is no better chance than now. They should start to buy this afternoon or in next couple of days once s.p settled.
Potential starting bid around 90p.
I remember missing out on CARD when it was 29p & my buy was set at 28.5. Sweet memories!

Maybe compare prices with some competition ..

Need to look beyond the daily ticker price sometimes & realise what a bargain you hold if you can remain patient. This share listed in 1993. It has only dipped below £2 for about 3 years during all that time! & now here it is a sitting duck at near 50p. Time to thin about the pounds you'll potentially make, not the pennies you'll save!
Same boat, bought at 56.2 yesterday before the extra fall. about 54% down.
im positive for a good business and future, but will def be looking at '25 onwards without a decent sale of NA, or even some public bids.
RE: Was expecting to see 51p early doors, but maybe/hopefully I was being too pessimistic and we have found a floor now? Fingers crossed etc.
I M shocked at NEX sp, went from SW to LHR on a sunday, coach packed, when i returned on wenesday morning a quater full, which you would expect, can't understand sp price, my only thoughts is this is being run by morons now, llike others have said they can eairly increase fares by 10% or so .....
i'm down 57% on my holding, was going to buy a tad more ...as i don'r think nex will go bust, anyways logged in a bit late 4.31pm lol...sp is 55p this morning hovering over the buy button BUT still wondering if this is the BOTTOM? wheres mystic meg when ya need her!
Certainly we all hope so - and really no reason for it not to be a pretty safe cash machine in the years ahead. With better management of the business.
Anyway, nice to see my purchases yesterday are looking quite smart at the time of print!
