Such a robust company I thought its two massive rivals may be interested
Well jolly you made the correct call. A sound buy over recent months. To-days results suggest a positive future.
Does anyone have the link to their investors presentation call?
I can't find it.
Thanks

2024 is going to be a tough year for brickies...
I think £1.20 would still be cheap. That would be a PE of around 12. I reckon it has legs to go to £1.50.
Am I the only one commenting on this share. I am holding until 120 arrives and then I may sell some, my £1.20 by Feb is looking like a good call. Still feel there is something going on in the background, maybe a Middle East interest, their buying everything else.
Well Take Over or not, they have been on the move since my last buy @ 83. I see a return to around £1.20/40 coming before Feb.
I bought more, there seems to be a lot of interest in MBH. I know its ex div tomorrow, buts lots of large buys going through.
Just a gut feeling, but I think a takeover may be in the offering.
Looks like cork popping...bought 30k more
tp £1 for now
And FRR up more than 10%
===> this looks too attractive (so bought 20k)
Jolly, at that price i will be tempted to join you. Seems some quality Aim shares going cheap just now.
Times are hard for tiddlers/small caps
There are extraordinary bargains around (EV/EBIT below 3 ffs in some cases)...so MBH is cheap, but not wildly so
I'm looking for somewhere around 70p to start rebuilding a monster stake here (>100k)
The sp continues to fall. My broker it seems cannot be bothered to provide news. I read the Dividend has been increased,a lot. Can anyone shed light on what is happening at M ?

Still seems very underwhelming.
Finally some action on this share, possibly worked sells explaining the lack of movement?

Ok, so the buy back has recommenced. I expect the broker needed a fortnights holiday. Lets see how many they buy in May.
Buy back appears to have stopped or paused. Makes no sense, as they can buy up to £2.8M from 29 March 2023 and ending no later than 30 June 2023, yet they are on average buying £30k worth. They wont even make a dent at the rate they are going. So far, MBH hold 604,000 shares in treasury, having bought about half of those since recommencing the BB. Numbers in thousands: 27,28,29,30,32,36,38,39,40,9,14 = 322k.
Hopefully they buy a similar amount in May and June, that would get near to 1.2M shares in treasury, which still wont be much over 1% of the company. It doesn't feel like they are trying to increase shareholder value IMO. I expect they will buy little and slow all the time the market is lackluster, this could go on for the rest of the year?
Lets not forget that yesterday they have issued 985,407 options, 30% more than they have managed to buy back so far.
Agree but atm someone(s) dumping loads!
Usual caveats

A clear buy at this give away sp. Tempted to buy even more. The results confirm confidence, some day soon the sp will reflect the value.
Results were excellent. I intend to buy especially with air cover from buyback but loads of selling today. I can only assume Hoskings are intent on reaching zero! So no hurry just yet!

Same as all the other stocks. Many good ones own. I think Liquidity is low, you only need a small seller and with no buyers this is what happens. Results next week, im sure they will be fine. All the other bricks looking good / had good results.
