Nice little tick up. News on the way perhaps?
More acquisitions on the way perhaps -
"strong acquisition pipeline"
Decent update.
There’s the anticipated TU.
“confident in meeting our profit expectations for the year”
In todays climate,I don’t think you can expect much more than that.
Very close to a Trading Update here. 19/11 & 25/11 for last 2 years.
I expect positive, based on previous news and outlook. Maybe back to 120p+ before the end of the year.
sitting duck
Good results. Sound acquisitions. Germany may prove an excellent choice, potential take over target and good yield, no, not asking you to buy, its why i bought and dyor
Peaky, did you post on the wrong board?
I'm buying a few at 80p...
Negative reaction to a decent set of results.
“Our expectations for the full year 2022 are unchanged”
Given the current macroeconomic outlook, I’d consider that a very positive statement!
Hopefully the SP will hold up. Let’s see what Mr Market thinks…….
Highly satisfactory Trading Update imo, in turbulent markets. Safe haven, again imo.
“I am pleased to report that Macfarlane Group has performed strongly in the year ended 31 December 2021. Our results are well ahead of the previous year and better than market expectations.”
The packaging sector has been in 2021 and continues to be very buoyant at the moment.
piworld > Thanks for the link yes indeed the SP is on a the run next stop 180+ IMO DYOR
#MACF discussed by Richard Leonard, the one that got away from him.

SP at its 4th attempt to break above resistance £ 109.50/113 on the weekly chart if broken lots of fresh air above > next near term target @ 130
The Packaging and Labelling industry is under huge pressure at the moment and Film materials are increasing due to global demand. This will have an impact on earnings next year unless these increases can be passed on. Film prices are increasing between 5-10%, Pulp is another area that is increasing dramatically.
There is also supply chain issues.. On a more positive note there could be M&A activity.
General market sell off WS, plus Chinese competetion it would seem from what I have read on the SMDS board earlier today. At such times ALL shares get hit, including the healthy.
Good luck

CM
