come the price has been falling everyday for the last week or so?hope these go up quick.
I'd like to think that if the results are as they forecast back in November that we'll see a steady rise over the next couple of weeks. If we reach 120p before results I think that would be very encouraging.
hi does anyone know what price this share will go up or down by results day?
Interesting news from Lavendon today. Cycladic Captial (an investment management firm focused on fundamental value investment strategies) on 0th Feb increased their holding from 1.8m to 2.36m shares, representing 5.12% of the issued share capital. http://www.lavendongroup.com/news-item?item=74249249425830 Feeling very optimistic about this one. IMHO I think they have been oversold and are now under priced. Their current market cap is only £46m, this is only half of what they paid for DK Rental last year which they did in cash!
I like your optimism. I don't think I've the balls (or the wit) to buy more. i'm still very new at this game
I'm averaged at 132p at the moment and will probably get some more next week. News flow for the original drop: http://www.ldpbusiness.co.uk/liverpool-news/liverpool-business-news/2009/01/21/speedy-hire-shares-plummet-48-after-profit-warning-96026-22742569/ Speedy Hire is primarily a tool hire company, whereas Lavendon rents large scale powered access equipment. Same sector technically but wildly different in reality. News flow from Speedy Hire since their profit warning has been extremely positive - http://news.google.co.uk/news?source=ig&hl=en&rlz=&q=speedy%20hire&lr=&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&tab=wn Speedy Hire still expect to make £33m profit, which is still good. Statement from Lavendon on 13th November was very positive and no statement since. Panmure Gordon continue to give a Buy recommendation on Lavendon which is encouraging.
Thanks for speedy answer (geddit?). I bought at 170 in December so I'm hoping your right to.
Profit warning from Speedy Hire a couple of weeks ago caused the initial drop after they said revenues collpased in the last 8 weeks of 2008. Lavendon reported revenues up 36% 10 months to 31st October but worry is they will have been affected the same. Personally I don't think so, Lavendon don't have exposure to all of the same markets as Speedy Hire and are focused on more than just construction projects. Results due 3rd March and I expect them to bounce up as an expected drop if profits appears to now be priced in. I'm holding 3,000 shares so really hope they bounce up to 200p or 250p.
Anybody know why this is performing so poorly
why such a steady declin?
tried to help but you are simply too far gone even to take some basic advice. I knew it was awaste of time but had to try to be friendly. wont bother again, bye
If you didn't come on 6-8 sites simultanously ****ging every body, saying everybody else is stupid, being abusive and rude and always beeing negative somebody might at some stage take you serious, but nobody could beleive you have done any serious research the way you post all over the place within minutes of each otehr and all of them are saying sell and give up etc. Everybody who disagrees are called rampers even though we all know that ramping is not possible through a site like this (you never answered me where I have been "ramping"). You are just out to wind peopel up and succeeding, I admit but if you just calmed down tehn somebody might take you serious. Last piece of advise I ever give you, have more important and constructive thinsg to do with my life, wish you had
just name one share I have been ramping FC. Did somebody take your rattle at playschool today, you seem more unruffled than normal or did your Dad leave the glue out so you had a sniff. Lie down with your dummy and take a nap, it will all be better in the morning. if you are mummy may come to singa lollabie but you do need to calm down, my boy.
If you don't know yet that the price displayed on the posts are delayed prices then there really is no help
I am pretty new to shares. Could somebody tell me when to sell these shares.
