You would be buying at 16p today under 1p then 0.96p .
Very bullish going forward.
For anyone below who continued to hold- well done
I've been trying to buy into this for 2 weeks.
All I get is a message saying unable to place. Or suspended. But I see trades being made.
Any tips
Yes all the research lead to this conclusion....
Will load up more of this and wait for backwardation to happen.
I had a message from Hargreaves Lansdown about the erratic performance of oil ETF's and in short it said that as the market is so volatile the ETF prices are based upon the price of future contracts expiring which are often at present well below the oil spot price. So that said, if the oil prices start to stabilise with demand increase this should start to perform more inline with its stated aim, so at the moment it is hard to accurately predict what the ETF will do until this time is reached.
Hope so.
Let’s hope not as much as the end of April again
Will it ever recover to likes of 25-30 ?
The underlying index is up by 7% and LOIL is up by 22%..
It is normal behaviour of leveraged ETF but question is will it recover to 30USD? and what WTI needs to surge by.
Your thoughts please.
Goldman Sachs raised its estimate for WTI Crude prices in 2021 to $51.38 per barrel from $48.50, expecting a gradual recovery in global oil demand and production cuts from OPEC+ and shut-ins elsewhere to support oil prices next year.
WTI crude rose nearly 7% to above $21 a barrel while Brent added as much as 5.5% to $27.90 a barrel. Oil is pushing back up now .
With country’s starting to open up and less oil pumping out of the ground, we will have a nice steady rise back to 3 dollars
0.96 good price for a entry into LOIL
Risking it for a biscuit. Bought 100 shares and stuffing them in the bottom drawer. Hopefully I won't lose £160 (can live without it but hope it won't come to that) the upside at some point (in the distant future) it may prove to be a good decision.
will be interesting to see where this goes overnight and where it opens tomorrow. USO has fallen further since we closed in London.
1.40
Down we go then
Dom, this oilprice article suggests most holding is now full

robert - that is my worry too, either I get wiped out or worse. The WisdomTree website says that Loil is a leveraged version/track of the Bloomberg WTI crude subindex, which is well into positive territory, but I still don't really know how that subindex is itself calculated.
Can this etf go negative or if it hits zero do you just lose all. Ie thinking of trying to get low(bottom would be nice but no idea where that is) and leaving them in the bottom drawer for when normality (of sorts) returns.
Let’s see what happens this afternoon, yesterday dropped like a stone . The problem is June will not pick up, the futures are already down . Also after trump fills up etc , where are you putting the next lot of oil .
that's what we're here for draft! Just don't fancy it turning negative on me in the meantime - is that even possible?
who cares - itll probably be 20 after a year and all this virus mess is over
But how low will LOIL go? Looks like 1.5 was a great entry but will it go even lower over next week or two?
Oil etf if you fancy a bit of adrenaline rush
