Juncker and the EU mob told enough lies.
"When it becomes serious you have to lie" - Juncker.
Only a Berk would admit it in public.
Actually it was the ERG who voted down the chance to complete a Brexit last year. Let’s not forget that, Boris et al have told enough lies, let’s not add to them.
You said it snige "basket case" Europe. No "so called" about it. The rise in DAX CAC ect is the result of nutty ECB policy NIRP & QE - not of a Cushdy economy. The days of economic growth and markets being connected are long gone.
The CBs have your back covered, there's nowhere else to go for yield. A sign all is fcked up.
Bless the EUSSR. They got it coming kid.
Snige,
It was Remoaners like you who created uncertainty in the UK markets last year by delaying Brexit. Hopefully we can move forward now with UK shares previously undervalued, catching up.
Yes it was Labour who left the cupboard bare when they last left office remember ?? As usual it was left to the Tories to clear up the mess caused by Labours profligate spending.
We seem to have split into two camps those who profess it could have been worse and those believing it could be better.
I welcomed the FTSE rise of 12.5% in 2019 but you have to compare it with the so called basket case Europe, DAX up 25%,CAC up 26% FTSE MIB up 28% and Greece top performer at 38%.
With the UK walking away, it will be a whole lot easier for Germany to create the Europe they have dreamed of.
As for UK I cannot understand this healing, it doesn't tie in with popularism, surely you need a them and us so you can blame someone when it all goes wrong, like the global financial crisis being Labour's .
Cuckoo,
Without the buybacks, the share price would have been lower not higher. Sadly, people on here have spent a vast amount of time trying to educate you on the effects of buybacks on share prices, but alas to no avail. You can’t teach an old dog new tricks I guess.
I should spend your time instead getting upto speed with Rebecca Long-Bailey’s manifesto or helping the Marxist campaign strip IDS of his knighthood.
Zoros - Mr Broadland posted on the GENL board 29th Dec, a little early to be calling AWOL IMO
Next closest would be Mr Inner-Harmony - a 2nd time winner ??? - respect
Zoros, good to see you post,i was fearing the worst for a while.
Congrats to Broadland , but without wishing to cause contention my highly calculated price was spot on except for the Boards buyback debacle and morally I am the winner.
But do not worry I will pay up when my GIRO arrives.
Just like doris I say lets get to work, he is already building sandcastles in MUSTIQUE.A real man of the people.
HO,ho,ho.
Cheers all.
Mugs away as they say.
Asperger - looks like Broadland has upped and gorn?
Who is next closest?
