light oil doesn't come from water though LLL
I can only assume it a move that is following Petrotrin/Trinidad Government with building connections/partnership's with the likes of Venezuela and Guyana.
Me too, just to have some skin in the game (i.e. not a top up). Will be interesting to watch the story unfold over the coming weeks and months.
S4lmo let's draw a line under this....it's history whether he was right or wrong, whether he shafted us or not we are still in business of that I am happy and I may see my initial investment back with hopefully some profit eventually.
grabbed some on support :-)
LL208 Maybe RNSing the details of a few of those tweaks will help to relieve the tedium. Who knows? It's a wait and see game now, not so great for traders but surely LTHs have grounds for cautious optimism. Really don't think NR will figure significantly going forward, particularly if he wants to spend his time trying to defend past decisions. I thought that his exchange with LK over Spain was telling.
The selling point Neil used about Goudron was that LGO would be using modern techniques that weren't available in the 60's/70's and thereby make Goudron viable. Leo is saying 'back to basics' whatever that means. Perhaps he just thinks Neil has missed something obvious. Time will tell if he has. But if he hasn't then Leo may find himself in the same position Neil did, battling against decline. Another thing people are doing is taking 'deep wedge' to be the missing gusher and I am reminded as to how Puka3 at Kea was drilled into the sweet spot only to find that it was mostly water. The oil exploration business is fraught with risk so don't count your chickens just yet.
Garnheim - must say I did find that first slide provocative but I didn't think it was worth having a debate with him on the day about Continental line drawing - I'm assuming what's meant will be revealed in due course and I was more interested to learn how he intended dealing with current assets as it's unlikely he'd expand about any more grandiose plans otherwise it would have been part of the initial pitch, I assumed.
1.7 target, think you mean 3.7 looking at the charts and changes dic.he..d
Emily FFS Neil didn't give a feck about LGO all we were was a cash cow to him
Judging by whom is posting vigorously today I'd say honeymoon is over. don't tell me you've spent your gains already;-) 1.7p target anyone?
Lex as well as finding oil and getting it out of the ground one of the main jobs of a petroleum engineer is to also find new ways to get more oil out of old wells. It seems this is what koot is saying when he days going back to basics. Maybe Neil didn't pay particular attention to this part of oil extraction, who knows maybe he did maybe he didn't...not for me to say but obviously loot thinks he didn't....we shall see.
Trinidad its in South America? Just very close! How is LGO (Columbus energy resources) going to be a "South American exploration business"?
should be the new support level now imo.
I thought I'd pen my last email to the Silver Fox - in an attempt to extract some information regards this new found speech of increasing Bopd from the Goudron field by electric pump. I'll update should I hear anything.
To recap, if this needs to be emphasised @LGOEnergyPlc, it begs the question - what exactly were the previous regime up to with our money?
LLL, I'm not one for engaging with you as I believe you're a little scallywag but that said, I agree what you say and that LK will have to 'stand and deliver' (no Adam and the Ants connection). LK obviously needs time to come good on his word, and I'm hoping the Share Talk interview will offer further insight into his direction. If his newly discovered (new to NR) electric pumps can extract a few more Bopd from the Goudron field, therefore enhancing his infamous 'free cash flow' comment, then I'd say that's a great start for him.
If any release before a production rns I can see a board change not too far away, that could be anytime now .just nr gone don't satisfy me ,bring it on
Never rule out possibilities. Thinking outside of the box is a good habit to develop. I can see how many of you have bought into Leo's track record and already decided that he can't fail. Hopefully he will do a good job but it's all in the melting pot for me. Let's see what happens over the next few weeks. Decline waits for no man so something has to start moving to maintain current production levels, let alone increase them.
ptrotter I reckon given they have already done some research, I expect they will want positive news and four weeks time can look foward to a truefull rns, which I expect to be good news
Don't be so daft ..... NR is history . Leo built a massive company from Zip ....... bottom line Leo is good Neil is bad
I think by comments made that there is a bit of Shell v BP rivalry going on between the pair of them. It's going to be a fascinating few weeks ahead. I can't wait to see how things will unfold.
Good point that LLL...do you think Neil waited until he'd got a couple of pints down him and then got him to sign it over while waiting for his main course and talking about what was on TV that evening...you really are a grade A Prik
LayLadyLay - your scenario suggests NR masterminded his own exit which is at variance to the posts from large shareholders and what I was told by NEDs last Wednesday - Andrew Monk also played his part.
