Haha!! Light at the end of the tunnel? So not only do we have a potentially multi million share short, we also have a 2000m drilling campaign in South Africa at one of LEX's new South African prospects, NE Bothaville. And its shallow. The previous operator hit gold at around 250m. For the Witwatersrand, that is a walk in the park. We are drilling around that hole. For those who don't know what "wedging" is, its a bit like directional drilling in the oil industry. Get to your chosen depth, or just above it and fan out, more bang for the buck in the same hole.
Temperature is rising, pressure is building. Should be an interesting week.....Hoping the Gamestop mob arrives on time....
Not only last weeks fun and games but seen todays RNS?? Drilling to start mid-December!

It would be interesting to hear, especially from those who bought last week, whether the trades settle with physical stock. If lots of them don't, cat is out of the bag... there is a short MM big time.....
I wonder if there are any "meme stock" fanatics in the UK who love tripping up financial institutions who are short... LEX could be a fun one for them to have a go at on Monday!!!!
Think we may see this short squeeze really kick off next week
Yep i think someone has fcuked up here. I reckon there is about a 5m short which they are now trying to buy back without affecting price too much
Could get very squeezy indeed. But even that aside it shouldn't be here trading sub 4p. We were at 10p in anticpation of this asset being acquired. Now we have it and drilling due to start soon. Multi million Oz Gold resource
There is my 500k buy at 3.7p printed. Hopefully i'll be selling it at 10p again in Q1 2024
Re my earlier post, the section in the website that mentioned the 7.34mn warrants exercisable at 2.75p that expired yesterday, has now disappeared. I think Genius is right. If they were exercised, they would have to put out an RNS. The fact that they have not done one indicates they have expired unsubscribed. Thing is brokers are not that well known for leaving money on the table. In this case, 45 grand at least. So what were those trades on Tuesday? Over 5mn shares traded at between 3.5 and 4p. What was that about? I had thought that maybe a Market Maker was selling shares in the market on behalf of say, Peterhouse, and that Peterhouse exercised the warrants and gave them the stock back, so no more short position. If those trades were warrant related and Peterhouse didn't exercise their warrants, that indicates there is possibly a short out there of around 4.5mn shares. That would take a lot of covering!! And would push the price dramatically higher.....
Worth a punt? I'd say so, and this is in addition to the fact that the stock is dirt cheap and great value.... The other interesting point is that because the warrants were not exercised, there is no potential overhang of stock anymore.
Because warrants weren't exercised. They also haven't been extended so thats that. Done.
I'm wondering if Techguru is right and we potentially have a bit of a short squeeze if they've sold a lot of stock and assumed they'd get an extension. Now stuck short trying to buy back
Why no RNS re warrant exercise yesterday... very strange
Market bidding for stock frantically lol
Well done you guys. I am still sure those trades on Tuesday were expiring warrant fuelled, Let's see. They were due to expire yesterday or be exercised, November 23rd. I am watching to see if the website is updated.....
Peterhouse had their warrants expire yesterday. They haven't been exercised as i asked the company.
Someone been selling constantly down from 6p. STFL been facilitating. Now the warrants have been cancelled after expiration yesterday ghere is no way to cover. So they'll have to buy all that stock back
Could get pretty interesting if so. STFL bidding as we speak now :)
I also bought another 250k at 3.68p to average down. Can't find any reason for it to be this low. Expect we'll get a decent reversal soon
Think its the right level to be buying. Really surprised to see it down here but they should st5art drilling soon and then it gets exciting, especially with the gold price flying. Plus they raised a load of money at 6p so fully funded
What's not to like??? Since you have asked me roseyspecs, 3.7p a share.. the price doesn't drop for no reason. Something is not rosetintedspecs at LEX ....
So it was trading at 10p+ in anticpation of this WRE Asset being secured
Now we have secured and put a ton of cash in the bank at 6p, with the likes of Creasey involved and yet we are now trading in the 3p range
You have to go back over a year since we saw prices this low and the company is in a far stronger position now
Looks like your spot on - timings match and the book square. Even better, company gets more cash! Big no brainer at this price.
Seen the the late prints last night.. I'm convinced it's the Warrant related, likely Peterhouse. Prepare for an RNS announcement... At least the potential overhang has gone. Yesterday or today is the last day for exercise.. They will have been hiding behind MMs (who went short on their behalf for a price) for the last three months or so. I'm convinced this is why the price has behaved like dog c***!!
The best sell quote I can currently get is 2.95p and there is only 1 market maker quoting a price.
There must be a big sell order that they are trying to work. Perhaps they will smash the offer down to around 3p to try and get some volume?
Well well!! I can't fathom this out at all. I was expecting a load of "cloaked trades" to emerge this morning that were delayed reporting, but that does not appear to have happened. The stock opened yesterday, traded just over 2300 shares and dropped like stone and all the later trades were BUYS!!! Doesn't make sense. I can only suggest that there were some very big trades that have not appeared as yet because the MMs are using their discretion not to declare them immediately. Furthermore, it appears that tomorrow is the last day for the exercise of the 7mn or so warrants issued in 2020. Strand Hanson have already exercised theirs. I am assuming that Peterhouse have not, because there has not been an announcement that they have. I can't believe they would just let them expire with profit on the table, maybe they have been shorting them over the past few months through an MM (MMs don't have to report shorts) and the exercise will allow them to give the stock back to the MM who helped, thereby squaring its books. Given there were still around 4mn warrants out there by my calculation, that could explain why the stock has been weak over the last couple of months when really nothing has changed!!!
LEX has very supportive shareholders, has a sugar daddy (Creasy) Lots of cash, a huge potential asset in the form of the South African stuff... what's not to like? I am going to look down the back of my sofa set and see what I can dig up. We all thought (with the exception of Mr. Long) that this was cheap at 6p.... at 3.75p its totally nuts!!! Have to credit Mr. Long for holding off though, maybe he'll be a buyer now??!!
9million shares were issued to Sunswell Holdings Pty Limited in the recent acquisition so perhaps this company is selling
Someone must be dumping. It is currently 2.95p to sell so huge spread
Anyone know why this has dropped
