Pity about that spread. Had these years ago and think this is a not bad entry price. 25% spread putting me off.
Finally, the report I have been waiting for so long has come.
I will show my intentions that I am a trader, having bought at 9p and sold at 13p, waiting to get back in for a good moment.
As expected, the report was worse than last half year, but not as bad as I initially thought it may have been.
Surprisingly promising for long term but we likely won't see much action for a few months to come

Probably nothing but 3 blocks of 50,000 shares bought after little activity for a while
Will keep an eye out to see if a one off or start of a trend as with a £10m market cap £19,500 worth of shares isn’t a nothing purchase
Hi All, welcome aboard sorry for not noticing you sooner. sorry also to be saying this not my favourite share - i think its cheap but the Heller family agency issues are probably the reason most leave this one alone - still i hold and hope...
Thanks am thinking about LAP as RDSB running away so might be a bit rich to buy in at current level
barrie. you will do well here. markets are moving to value over growth stocks. there are a few asset rich compnies set to do very well in coming months.

Interesting thought as it’s no secret that Bisichi has seen a fall in demand from traditional markets and softening of price of coal. The 42% stake if sold would provide a useful cash injection I guess. I followed you over to this board from NSF where I have a holding as you were spot on with your timing on Vertu and have put LAS on my watch sheet but am heavily invested in RDSB currently where I’ve seen a good return so have to be careful about spreading myself too thin. Used to trade a lot in my youth but now older, not wiser sadly but more cautious!
I'm here because most of the porfollio is commercial retail an imo due a bounce like similar stock. I also have a hunch we may see a sale of bisi. South African coal is becoming hot properly given china's rift with the aussies. Gla.
As a realist and not rainbow chaser / ramper, I will say this:
Just 3 years ago the NAV was 65m. Last year 35m. I'm expecting something between 15-25m. Whatever it is, it will still probably drive the SP and the wording will be clever to show that their value isn't in their current assets, but what they will be worth in x, 'doing well to keep cashflow in covid' or some bs like that.
Agreed it's oversold though
45p target. Assets plus stake in bisi... 40m...was way oversold
Plus 50% in bisi, current valued at 4m.Can somebody tell me why this is so cheap?
NIce to join you lemmink, good on yer for holding all this time, I'm only just joining in the fun having seen there should be a report soon enough
Bought 75k at a little under 10p
Sold 50k @ 15p —- crap!
Property of £86m other assets of £47m (including £20m cash) gross debt of £57m - i find this share irritating ... NAV of £43.3m - minority interest equity of 12.3m so other liabilities types stuff is circa £20m net
Bought 25k @ 27.9p ... holding 100k
LAP is the property company and main constituent of LAS group ... it probably does a bit more than break even from rental income? But I think it is difficult to reasonably expect it to generate meaningful dividends for shareholders? ... how and when are shareholders meant to obtain returns from their investment in LAP?
BISI (listed) is a coal mine in South Africa it seems to pay ok dividends it is 41.25% owned by LAS ... don't know what to make of it, but from memory the (possibly) active investor (cavendish?) owns a disproportionate amount of BISI directly. ... I don't want to pay over 30p again currently.
Bought 25k @ a little over 30p ... holding 75k
Bought two lots of 25k @ 28p ... holding 50k ... discount to NAV primary lure + large cash balance ... possible agency issues re Heller family - possibly being adequately addressed by active investor over last couple of years?
Just been tipped in the IC by Simon Thompson- http://www.investorschronicle.co.uk/2016/04/14/comment/simon-thompson/exploiting-a-valuation-anomaly-PzbKTpp5SUkfjA843XVjZJ/article.html http://www.investorschronicle.co.uk/comment/simon-thompson
Not sure but atleast its going up today! Would be nice if Simon Thompson updated his thoughts on this share from 2 years ago when it was 56p... he tipped it as a BUY
Hello Does anyone know if the company operates a DRIP scheme in relation to dividends? Many thanks for any assistance
T ONE FROM ME MATE, NOBODY PLAYING, LATERS

Read a bit further in to this and have decided to sell up.
