I would think a delist is the likely outcome but they won't want lots of shareholders in a private company so would likely bid for the stock.
Looks Like Pollen Street capital bidding for Matiloi Woods is the trigger here. Makes sense they would then wrap this into to it too. But does that represent a risk of delisting rather than making a high bid?
Kingswood a lift. Really can't understand the substantial fall here and anything that turns it around us very welcome!
Given the volume of convertible preference shares that are converting, surely this stock is likely to be delisted by the largest shareholder?
Hi RAS it was in the newspaper report ( Sunday Times?). Today's fall may well be a buying opportunity if the sale comes in warmer times. Below expectations normally invites a hammering so 5.5 % is not bad relatively speaking.
Hi Fallingknife, I'm curious ... where did you see that they are looking for £250m?
If the directors think that they are very much at odds with mr market
Mine are a real mix of cost prices going back to 2014 ...average of all is 32p,
What I don't get is they are looking for £250m which is x4 MCAP. Of course there are fees and not all will be profit but it puts the relatively small rise in perspective.
Morning RAS. Don't know what to make of the news myself although Mr Market has market it up 8%. Definitely undervalued but having bought in at 31p I am down almost 10% on my investment. I would hate to see this go on the cheap as here is value to be had here for sure.
Interesting news from Kingswood at last. This share very much under the radar with most shares held by owners in nominee accounts. On all measures seems grossly undervalued. I wait with considerable interest as to what will be the result. Appreciate there’s very few PIs interested here so very much an echo chamber.
This is a v quiet chat board normally so nice to see some posts. Agree v acquisitive company. It's v difficult to value. As far as I can see the 2 majority shareholders own over 50% of the company but it maybe me misunderstanding what I'm reading. Occasionally I read articles on Kingswood suggesting it may be taken private. However how do they value the shares when that's the case? Delighted if anyone could enlighten me.
Time to buy?
Further large director purchasing. Only able to sell . No quote for buying any amount
Puzzled by this share. Barely moved last few months having trickled down from 33p (directors bought heavily at 30). Trading update pretty good and yet zilch. Business apparently going v well in USA. Has anyone any ideas why this has become such a damp squib
I put a buy order in yesterday afternoon for 29.5p and I sm pleased to say it got triggered due to the drop today. I think I will add again at 26p it it falls but I am hoping it will bounce from here.
There has been two RNS's today ( the 17th) - do take a look at both of them - particularly the one later in the day, although both appear highly significant.
Looks undervalued and off radar. Huge director buying even after a strong rise. Got to research more but on a surface level I like what I see.
Just a reminder ....

Half-year Report
"Kingswood Holdings Limited ("Kingswood") remains in a strong position with a robust foundation for growth in place"
Last Dec (20.7p) finnCap had a target price 26p tp which has now been well cleared.
At that time they also commented ...
"The company has taken another positive step in the right direction and we foresee future upgrades."
We are now over the 30p marker with the lowest ask showing 31p and looking set for upward trend to continue.
The below doesn't bode well for wealth mngrs - below taken from IC analysis on Quilter
Citing a previous sensitivity analysis, Peel Hunt this week warned that a 20 per cent fall in asset values is likely to result in a 30 to 40 per cent impact on wealth managers’ profitability this year. As such, the buyback looks well-timed, though we’ll use the cover to exit with the shares just ahead of our tip (132p, 4 Jun 2019). Hold.

KWG has risen very well since my last mention ... also flying today, on even quite small.
With the tp now @ 26p it's no wonder there's no discount on the current lowest ask on show, of 19.5p.
Maybe unlikely also going ahead.
It looks that only that it's been so very low in the past that folks can't bring themselves to now pay for a clear winner?
finnCapp CORP today, reiterates 26p.
Yes indeed and very insightful of you - I see KWG has risen by 50% since the time of your last post.
Well done, you!
They do seem to have a solid plan , and are implementing it exactly as they said they would ! Quite rare these days ! Personally , I see a lot of upside here, and very little downside .If they can keep these acquisitions going and acquire enough further AUM ,together with their new products , then I can see a major rerating in the near term .They appear very undervalued in comparison to their peers!
