Broker note released today with our results due later this week.
Kenmare Resources will release its Q3 trading update on Thursday 12th October. The key focus will be the delivery of operational improvements after a challenging first half, in our view. We estimate heavy mineral concentrate (“HMC”) production in Q3 of 378kt, delivering ilmenite end-product output of 276kt, zircon of 14kt and rutile of 2.2kt. Including solid H1 financial results (reported o 15th Aug), we revise our FY23E EBITDA upwards by 5% to US$236m. Our Dec’24E target price is unchanged.
I wish I knew what it was lol.
The stock is very illiquid and the MM’s are looking for a price. Typically that means a buyer, in size, will drive the SP higher quite quickly. Hopefully tail end of this week is positive.
Why does this share continually day after day have these 1 and 2 share buys and sells ranging from anywhere to 403 to 424 ?
Agreed, key piece of info will be the pricing the company have agreed for Q4
Update is due next thursday, company has hopefully been ploughing on ahead and piling up the tonnes, not had any negative announcements, clearly a good sign. So fingers crossed. At the moment I think the general market malaise isn't helping though.
It always drifts down and will rise again ahead of the trading update.
This share is going nowhere except drifting down. Something needs to change to change sentiment. The whole market is a dog’s dinner at the moment.
Very positive that a long standing institutional investor would increase their share holding from 5.0% to over 6%
Hopefully the market reacts and we’re get back above £4.50 in relatively quick order. Maybe lots of investors reinvesting their dividends will help next week.
Good luck all
Holdings in company. See rns. II increasing holdings
What is TR1
What is TR1
Tr1 just reported
According to dividendmax it is indeed ex dividend today. Therefore it does seem to be holding up quite well.
Isn’t it ex-divi today and it’s not dropped by the relevant price ? Am I missing something ?
They crossed the threshold on the 11sept
Same day as tender results day so it looks like they profit took
We haven't heard anything from MG but they already sold 33% of there shares in the last 18months
Remember these shares were purchased when Kenmare resources needed to refinance
So expect them to take profit now
Totally agree raxfactor, hopefully explains the low SP to sone extent.
Great to see another investor come on board.
Also, I felt we’d see selling when the disclosure came that the Offer Tender was significantly over subscribed.
Time will tell but I think it will rise significantly into Q3 trading update if inflation figures continue to fall faster than expected.
Perhaps it's an exchange between ii, with another rns due to confirm who has picked up their 4.4%, what ever has occurred it hasn't collapsed the sp for such a large transaction.
SARL dropping from 21.5% of the company to 17.1% seems a big drop not explained by the buy back and not a vote of confidence, is that right?
I believe this from LSE ts & cs
"Trades priced above the mid-price at the time the trade is placed are labelled as a buy; those priced below the mid-price are sells; and those priced close to the mid-price or declared late are labelled ‘N/A’. "
All trades do have both. For a buyer you need a seller. Price moves upwards because buyers are more aggressive and instigating the trade (demand > supply) and it moves downwards because sellers are more aggressive (supply > demand) and instigating the trade.
Excuse my ignorance but how can you tell which is a buy and which a sell as I thought all trades had both.
I had though the Stock exchange colour coding was red volume for falling price and green for rising, am I wrong?

Never understood this share. The buys often seem to outweigh the sells yet it goes down in price ? Always seems to be the inverse of the laws of supply and demand !
IC review of KMR results from August a bit old now and nothing new for us that follow the company but it's always nice to read another view thought it would be worth posting.

Often rise before ex dividend date next week
Nice surprise to see a rise early doors. I give up in trying to understand why though?
