A nice move looking at the figures and asking for Share Buy Backs instead of Divis. Hopefully we will hear more.
Looking like Kelso have been wrong footed by THG's latest poor update by MM...if MM continues to run the company into the ground a very low MBO could be impossible to stop I wonder?
KELSO put in writing what other investors -institutional and private- are feeling. Their post interim RNS is well worded to convey frustration and perhaps a warning shot across THG’s bow. Things clearly cannot stand as they are for any length of time. Disruption can be a good thing.
Let’s see how activist Kelso are…..
Our activists have been quieter than a winters morning on Bodmin mooor lately
Wonder if all the team are back from. Holidays
Whatever pops up out of thg next week expecting some sort of reactionary statement but it's far too token
Yes I've seen the error in the LSE share qty. They haven't updated the issue of the new shares from the second raise
I wonder what they are going to do with the cash pile, there appears to be a few bargains out there as some small cap shares have been quite beaten up in the past 12 months or so.
So looking at the last trading update, Kelso has raised circa £6 million in cash since its IPO, also it's investment in THG has gained significantly from its original purchase price, but the company is valued at a little over £4 million so what on earth is going on as it means at least £2 million is unaccounted for. The directors haven't taken any salaries and THG is worth more now than the last update
i.e. 98p today vs 93p at the previous valuation. Is the the biggest giveaway ever? I'll be buying more tomorrow.
So THG has risen to 98.5p and Kelso has interest in 8 million shares, so how on earth can Kelso be valued at just around £4 million? The more THG goes up it seems the more Keslo goes down.
Well they have issued any new shares since the last issue back in February..?
What is the correct number of shares in issue ? I believe it is more than the 190 million shown
So THG keeps on rising, but Kelso keeps on falling, work that out?
Yes you are right, I just read the update in the AGM...that's good news for Kelso shareholders you would have thought?
Golden share went on the 21st june.no longer has any relevance for THG.
317,500 is a buy.
THG SP moving back up again today but Kelso not moving. Will be interesting if MM drops his Golden Share in September or the business splits as Kelso are pushing for. Apparently some very big multi billion $ deals have been going on within the Sports nutrition market recently.
I know people have said they want in here because it tempts trade less
I like another hedge. Sofina listed in the Belgian stock exchange and a much bigger shareholder than kelso in thg
Kelso over the past 7 months have been one of the most passive "activists" I've seen imvho
If THG got to £2 I would estimate the Kelso share price would be around 4.7p if they haven't invested the cash. If they have invested the £3m cash & got a return on that investment this could be reflected in the share price & so could be above 4.7p.
Just my rough calculation & takes no account of sentiment.
So assuming THG get to 200p on some big news can we also assume Kelso will just remain at 2.70p?
There isn't that much of a discount. Following the placing there are another 120 million shares in issue, not the 197 million shown on this site. Add the 5m shares in THG to the profit on the CFD & £3m in cash = the approximate market cap on 317 million shares at the current price.
Looks like people have realised the discount to THG...I wondered when that would get spotted.
Meant to say I "can't" understand the divergence from THG....
I can understand the divergence from THG...Kelso should be rising ot falling compared to THG price since last update a few weeks ago?
Good topping up opportunity
Cheers
The last 4 post are me. So what i say must be true. Ooh ooh oooooohhh! Pay me attention!
There was a reason he was known as monimoron on other boards, yes this is a great share, just please don't pay him much attention.
I love the share, but let's just wait to see what the do with their 3m.
Obviously not, still not sure how THG keeps on rising ut Kelso staying the same, there shouldn't be a discount on Kelso seeing as they are almost fully invested in THG???????
