I don't see any good reason for the drop. Probably just traders moving on after a strong update and a dividend payment. I've topped up at 1199p and don't expect it to go much lower than that. It's a global leader in its ground-levelling area with very specialised equipment so will always be in demand for large construction projects.
If updates follow last year they'll be a strong TU around 5th July and Half Year Results about 1st August. I expect that the share price will pick up again once investors with short memories are reminded of "A very strong start to the year and a material increase to full year expectations."
Anyone seen anything major causing the current slide. Always expect a dip post dividend. Is this just the market having a brain fart on a brilliant share or has anyone spotted something more sinister?
If it drops much lower I'm considering a substantial top up, especially with interest rates predicted to head in the right direction.

Hi there, new to this board and fairly new to Keller. Very bullish on it though so I've been topping up and it's >10% of my ISA already.
Fyi I've written a Twitter thread on Keller this morning:
https://x.com/W13Ken/status/1795363052608479662?t=XxXX53K4-NmQD7lLOkg03g&s=19
A reminder that it goes ex-div on Thursday. DYOR.

Yesterday's trading update is very similar to the one dated 17th January and the share price
is now nearly 59% up from then, with a nice dividend (31.3p) due to all holders on the register at
close of business on 31st May.
What's not to like.
Dave
Fabulous rns and loving the increased dividend. Gl all

Good news!
Hold these in my isa.....KLR operations in Aus and North America churning out the profits, other regions less so but the future looks rosy. Hoping for good news early march. gl
Have bought back in here today. Hope the broker notes help. This is one of the best run companies out there in their field I believe.
Just started taking an interest here following on from the trading update which was excellent by all appearences. A ray of sunshine as most stocks are down in general.
Oops sorry. Wrong site!

Be interested in what your graph shows now?
Yup. Dunno why. Does not seem to have gone ex growth. Profit and divi forecasts rising for next three years. Truly global so UK mini budget should not have that much impact. But this is KLR, anything goes.
Couldn't agree more. Would have been nice to hold above £7 prior to trading update. Am I right in thinking that the last update was 'good' but poorly recieved and the price fell? ATB S66.
Trading update and mini budget on Thursday 17th. Interesting day coming ...
Hope you are right my friend that would give a v pleasant Xmas......no matter what planet or universe I am on!
You take care now. S66.

Gosh we are hitting the mid £6 s and still no end in sight. I need my 150 to 1 bet at the gold cup to win today so i can add some more !!!!
Be interesting to see where the bottom is this time.
25% down in a few days, this is now way oversold imo so great price to add more !!!!
I thought the results were very good ,divi goes up again and still the sp goes down 5%. No worries , another chance to add more at a great price !!!
Preliminary results scheduled for the 7th March I believe? Might hear a bit more then (maybe) on Aystral issue and corrective measures. Despite having a 'wobbly' will still hold for now. GLA S66.

Good to see sp responding well to results. IMO much more to come...
Expectations met, divi up, record order book, NEOM for future, HS2 on time, etc. Everything progressing well. Fingers crossed that sp does not tank like after last good update ...
Morning. Goos solid update. See what the market makes of it. Hope other issues don't blight the positiveness.S66

Good for you, great entry point !!
Bought in today these look good for fair return lots of work for what they specialise in.Only 8% uk exposure operations in 40 countries higher margins than your normal construction companies good and promising pipe line .They seem to have decent track record on returns don’t think I’m in at the bottom but will add on any more weakness.
If you believe that KLR is a fundamentally very sound , safe and well run co as its history has shown , then if you have funds available, you add to your position once the sp comes down below what you as an investor has set the limit at.
The recent results have been outstanding, it pays a great dividend what is there to worry about. Yes KLR is very vulnerable as most solid long term shares are to the huge fluctuations of the present/future markets.
Its simple really as long as you believe in the quality of the company !!
AFRC take your point( s), but are not worried about 'good money afteri ad'.? I too want to add to my holding but feel the way this has moved better to add on its way back into positive territory than the pretty persistent negative movement at the mo'. I really do not see how the forecasts of £10 hold water. ATB S66.
After the recent news of the potentially huge long term contract in Saudi for MBS's megalomaniac plans from which KLR will greatly benefit, £6 may not happen.
Regarding though a potentially TO by Vinci or Jacob , surely £10 at least would be a reasonable price.
I will add more at this level.

I treat it as a way to add more shares and lower ones average even more. No question that we ware entering slowly very negative times for all of us. But Klr should prove to be a very resilient investment long term but i as i said before , at times when the markets will come under severe downwards pressure , we must be prepared for the sp to come down too ,very possible to under £7. If one has funds to spare, keep adding, The divi alone makes it a very compelling investment
Dinoken and Robina, cheers for the replies.

Hunt the Cent has KLR at Buy with target £11.
Reckons shares are well behind historic averages.
US results muted on costs and materials availability.
Net debt up, but forecast changes ‘negligible’.
31% increase in the order book highlights direction of travel.
PE only 7.3x for 2022 and an enterprise value/Ebitda of 3.6x, both well behind historic averages.
Add to that the progressive divi and it is IMO difficult to understand sp response to results.
Look at HILS after a good update too.
Something definately not correct about the way the price moves in Keller. Excuse me....but I'm expecting better. Notice never a lot of comments on this board. Cheerio and GL.
Yes - so the obvious market reaction is to knock the sp down. It's like 'No - you can't make a profit'
Sorry divi up 5% not 10.
Record profit in H1, confidence in H2 outlook maintained and dividend increased. Sums it up nicely. Divi up 10% final divi increase mooted. Can literally feel the earth move reading this.

Gone a bit quiet on this thread. Until we get an update who knows what effect the world events may have on KLR(?)
Disappointed that the sp has fallen back again. Before all the latest events was hoping for £9-10 this year.
This is becoming so tempting now as i feel if no better news coming over the weekend re the Ukraine situation, the sp could well come under £6 a share. If we see further deterioration in the situation, then most equity markets will see very steep falls with no bottom on sight. Keller wise, what we dont know is whether the co has major contacts going in Russia or Ukraine which most probably have been or will be suspended resulting in the co taking impairement charges on them. Knowing that the petrochemical industry has always been a big part of Kellers work, i would be very surprised if they dont have ongoing work there.
Anyway , huge gamble investing in any equities right now but Keller is fundamentally a very solid company.
Preliminary Results next week I believe, but is the current share price performance advance warning and a potential reflection of those results to come? Would appreciate view of some of the long term holders here. Thx S66 and GLA.

So it looks like I've put the kybosh on it.
Well I bought in today. So hopefully we don't get another step down.
If we get to 1070 I'll be happy.
Keller is a good company. A fairly decent dividend too.
I noticed a couple of institutions have bought recently.
No real move upwards after what i thought was a very good set of results. Most promising the 3 aquisitions which should be very positive earnings accretive very soon.
Well it HAS come down to £9. I feel that sub £8 may be a good entry point and as it's drifting and the next divvy is a long way off.
It looks more likely it will test the £10 level soon than come down to £9 !!!

Take away the ongoing crisis in Ukraine which has affected all major equity markets in a very negative way, there is no reason to justify the 20% fall in KLR's sp. If the situation with Russia further escalates and deteriorates, then we can expect i feel another 10 to 15% drop . But one should not deviate from the fact that fundamentally Keller is a very sound company, always delivering excellent results and paying a good dividend.
So for me its a great point to accumulate and if one has further funds available to further add if the price drops further.
Good morning. Keller appeared to oen at quite a discount this morning, have I read this right? I am in at a higher price than current but can't fathom out the price movement I this share. Does this just pick up on approach to dividend? Some of the forecasts seem optimistic based on where Keller price is st the moment. Thanks in advance S66.

Another £95 million JV following the £167 million JV announced in Feb. Keeping KLR busy. SP continuing to tick up nice and quietly.
I am anticipating strong results when they come this week but why is Norges bank , one of the worlds safest and most prudent financial institutions reducing their stake ?

In this for five years now reduced holding last summer to take capital gains, only ever made money on this one, dividend solid will add again if it slips below £6. Av. 6.10. Wish all my holdings were like this one!
I have a similar purchase price. Current dividend levels give a rate of around 5% pa and the dividend is secure here (fantastic track record of payment). Expecting a higher dividend - but would be happy with the same!
I don't mind that though. KLR doing well for me. Always impressed with KLR as a company when I was in the civil engineering business so dipped my toe in at 588p when I retired. Just now holding these, hopefully long term and twiddling my thumbs looking ahead to 2020 full year results on 9 March. 23.3p divi in August?

Well I'm hoping to get back to my buy price of 650.
Nice one, and positive! Keller are weathering the Covid-19 crisis well by this update. Maybe they put them in charge of the government stratagy! GLA.
Highlights
· We expect to outperform current market expectations for 2020, with full year performance at similar levels to 2019 despite the disruptive impact of COVID-19
· Financing and liquidity remain strong with net debt to EBITDA leverage further reduced to 0.8x
· Execution of our strategy continues with the creation of a new, more focused, Europe division
· The Board declares an interim dividend of 12.6p, the same level as 2019
· Our expectations for 2021 remain unchanged
Look at the share price movements in the past year. Share-price has been pretty volatile. Always comes down, then goes back up, and repeats...
Wouldn't have thought low 600's would turn into low 500's! Strange movements, but cant see what is driving it down. There's a trading update due soon, but surely it cant be that? Any ideas?
