I hope that they have been taking some sandwiches for that guy that’s been outside the ministry building waiting for big news.
Time to pull the rabbit out the hat
Time to call in those special relationships you have with Tanz Gov
All was going to plan?
LOL
Gravy train from the start, nothing more.
Wimbo - you still got your stack of tickets in here?
It is always reassuring to see Wimbo on board, and Yaki clearly has great expectations.
All was going to plan until Magafuli decided that hydropower was the answer and that the government itself should build and own the Stiegler Dam project. That effectively knocked the raison d’être of Kibo. It soldiered on nonetheless with projects in Botswana, Mozambique etc, but to little avail. The dam was due to be generating power by June 2022 and producing 2119 megawatts, nearly twice the current demand. The recent announcement of a renewed MOU with TANESCO makes one wonder whether there are problems for them to consider coal after all.
Wimbledon Good to hear from you and thank you for the correction on JD WAG. The memory certainly does fade as the years pass by. Fingers crossed it was Tanesco who instigated the revival talks. It would not be the greatest shock if it was. Like many I have some very painful financial memories of the change in power structure that occurred.
Best of luck to everyone here, you just never know.
very
I’m of the impression it was not LC that instigated the revived mcpp talks but even still an mou is hardly noteworthy and the market reacted accordingly i.e. it didn’t batter an eyelid just continued on it’s downward path as if nothing happened.
Kibo is depressing
morning LROE - it was JD WAG .. as Foxy rightly says many still here and indeed share you sentiments exactly. Hopefully it was Tanesco who instigated the revival talks as LC has had all parties including Tanesco, GE etc around the PPA table before when the MCPP was looking very good until a certain person was elected and fired most of Tanesco and Govt officials involved which clearly wasnt KIBO's fault... we live in hope
jax05 I would certainly agree about good sector but useless board and awful execution, and yes it would appear a further fall in SP may come here. But as long as the lights are on there is a chance, and that goes for many AIM companies. We all dream of the multi-bagger.
Good luck to you and all holders here.
I suspect we’ll be hitting new lows in the near term before something happens
Good sector but useless board and awful execution
cunningfox
Good luck to you. You have waited a long time; hope you enjoy some positive returns from your patience and investment. Still to play for here.
jax05 Thank you.
That is why I would keep some hope here. The world is in chaos over power and it's not going to get any better any decade soon. While it is so chaotic with global political upheaval there is always the chance that KIBO can be in the right place at the right time. You just have to look at some of the huge profits the renewables are making, and this goes hand in hand with some going back to fossil energy. Hope still here but the fund raise/dilution will decide where the SP goes and what PIs can salvage.
Good luck to you.
Same and thanks for your story. Let’s hope LC can do something from here.
You’d think in the sector we’re in we’d be coining it in left right and centre.
Most are still around and share your sentiment.
jax05 I was in KIBO a long time ago. Ended up with an SP average of 5p, bought in higher then did the unforgivable averaged down knowing it was a bad idea. Sold out with a 55% loss. I bought into the special relationships, classrooms and so on. New investors in KIBO may not remember some of the famous quotes we had in the dizzy days of the stars are aligning. If KIBO did not have the track record that it does, well the CEO for certain, I would look at this as a real get in opportunity and a good punt. But they have never looked even close to getting anything over the line so for me sadly many times bitten when it comes to LC then no going back for me. And that is before you get to the other non-producing ventures, he has set up with appalling SP performance.
There used to be such a band of loyal LTHs here, think by memory many of them went off to Twitter. Wonder what happened to the Sonic guy who sold out. Always like to wish LTHs the best of luck, never take my frustration out on them.
While a stock is trading there is always hope. The AIM market is extremely fickle, and you only need a bit of hype, new BOD, believable talk of Tanesco back in the game, or to get something over the line and a bull run could return. Dilution/raising funds here will be key as it normally is with AIM.
Best of luck to everyone in here.
LROE you’re new. Be good to hear about your investment here?
No I don’t see a recovery from here
The mcap may increase but share dilution will be catastrophic
jax05 A serious question, do you see Kibo SP recovering and if so to what level.
I don’t plan selling until we get to a £50m mcap.
Which is still a poxy value
Don't be in a hurry to sell, lots of fingers in lots of pies and positive vibes re the IPO.....give it another few months
Do we know who instigated the MCPP revival?
If it was Tanesco then that’s significant
As soon as the remaining stale bulls, or perhaps even some of the more recent enthusiastic buyers that thought they had spotted something the market hadn’t, realise that this is going nowhere fast, it will be even harder to sell when there’s a rush for the door.
What will happen then of course is that the MM will pull the rug out so you won’t be able to shift stock in any significant quantum, unless at a discount.
So for those sitting on their hands, perhaps don’t sit too long.
I have found the demise of KIBO over the years very sad. Put it down to the performance of an appalling CEO. So much potential over so many years. I took a haircut here some time ago. Bought in at the 5p range and sold at a loss. I remember another poster on here, think he was called JDAG. May have spelt that wrong. Anyway, good luck to those who are still holding. While a share is trading there is hope.
Seem to be slowly heading south again, what a shame, I thought it was starting to rerate with the possible IPO....Just have to wait and see...gla
