Great news, well received. Shoud spark a recovery with more to come.
The market will soon wake up to the potential - should be well in excess of £1,
DYOR
Operating profit is likely 14.0% ahead of market expectations
Rev stabilised and growing
Good backlog
Good costs reduction
Margins intact
Price is still way below historic levels and looking good value
Aye aye Captain - value alert or trap - added - gut says on a 12 month window this will be a lot higher.
Seems worth a punt for me. Hopefully it bottomed at 55p and the bad news is already priced in.
The directors have shovelled shares to their children and therefore that seems like a positive if the directors are putting their childrens Uni funds on play.
Coastal Capital also describe themselves as an event driven company. Since KCT are not 'distressed' in any way, seems like they too feel this will be scooped up if the market cap on it remains so low.
Coast Caplital now largest fund holders after abrdn & Jupiters sell off. Just need another purchase by them to get this back up. Been stuck with this share for ages now and feels like another REVB which has just re-listed. Hope to see some movement shortly once other funds are fully out.
Certainly seems a robust business which is just having to navigate the challenges which most companies need to right now. I've grabbed a small holding. Will be a tough year for them but it seems like the market has been particularly brutal. I just think these types of companies are worth holding just in case PE or trade buyer tries to take advantage whilst the business and SP are both a bit battered. These bad news times will turn ... just a matter of when.
Ahoy fellow investors,
We're holed beneath the waterline!
Ahoy fellow investors
I hereby today issue a Value Alert on KCT. The price looks to have bottomed and Forward PE for FY24 of 8 is way too cheap. Good 2x bagging opportunity once sentiment turns.
Not a bad update...quite flat, but stronger order book and bad news out the way now....?
dirt cheap IMO
Ignore this Doomster @Terry, posted on a couple of my holdings, a real bore posts the same drivel zzzzzzz. Growth slowed, strong backorder petty decent given the current climate. GLA
Finally!
But not counting my chickens just yet - psychologically a bit bruised with this one...
largest volume day yesterday since the drop, have a feeling that was it
Price action suggests so....should really be around £1.50 or so IMO
Yes it is time to buy now as if it down maybe 15% but it show hang on price event big sold so that is good reference point to buy
Strong buy from today hold its over 6 months and it will recover as nothing really bad about company .
Just looking back at TR1’s and the two just greater than 3% selling down in Jan and before the TU. approx 10m shares left to dump if they were emptying the tank completely. With todays volume and big prints circa 17m volume traded since Feb TU.
Got to be the week to turn at this rate if sellers declare.
Jolly, no worries I have plenty more ;)
the bottom....very likely..imo
noticed it on friday
Well done on THG but 2.3m share sales recorded after 16.23 might possibly suggest otherwise...
biggest prints we've had so far.... could be it
Maybe sticking my neck out, but this time it really does look like the seller's done.
Long way to go for me on an investment that's unfortunately not that old, but am feeling somewhat fortified by a nice trade on THG today :)
Onwards & upwards!
must be real close now....
Since the 23rd feb TU circa 15m shares have traded.
MorningStar show Institution sells up to today at circa 14m with buys at circ 1.4m
The MS data doesn't state actual date activity but most recent so you can draw a conclusion I suppose.
The charts have turned green on weekly,daily,4hr,and 1hr for the first time since the 23rd Feb
Historical support goes back to 5/6th Oct 2020 at around 65p level and bounce has occured
Green shoots have appeared for this to go north
Increasing volume will indicate buyers returning both PI and Instis
I am buying from this level considering the fwd order book at a record high despite the drop which is now overdone.
Good luck :-)
For very seller there is a buyer.
No Tr1 or what causes sell huge share on dayly basis.when do sell finish? It seem more sell than before.
Another 500k sold...
Hit the nail on the head SWLC. Jupiter and abrdn UK smaller Co`s are the ones doing the damage. Both are still above 3% so hence no TR1. Hope other funds will start to accumulate at the low prices but may take some time for sellers to clear out fully if that`s their intention. Good post.
