Thursday, 15th March 2007 08:13 KBC Advanced Tech returns to FY profit LONDON (AFX) - KBC Advanced Technologies PLC, a consultant to the energy industry, returned to profitability in 2006 following strong revenue growth. It booked a pretax profit of 1.7 mln stg in the year, turning around from a loss of 2 mln usd last time, as revenue grew to 35.4 mln stg from 28.5 mln. Chairman Christopher Powell-Smith said 2007 has started well and the group remains 'very busy.' 'The board expects this to continue. The markets in which KBC operates remain strong and opportunities for major contract awards continue to be positive,' he said. The buoyant market gave the group 'increasing confidence' in its outlook for the year, Powell-Smith said.
