Because they are at or close to the Ask price.
How can you be certain they were buys though. So many times when i but it comes up as sells
Just did a bit of looking at the last couple of days trades. In the buys are a £1M , £308K, £253K, £2.27M. If that's not leaky, I don't know what is...... Mind made up........I'm sticking.
Yep with you there. I've sold 50% mainly to protect against CGT, though it is tempting to buy back in...before it's too late. There were some huge buys yesterday and the purchase of United Comms only makes them stronger.. Going to go out on a limb and say £3.30 high tomorrow.... **IMHO please DYOR
really unsure of what way to go here with one day to go
Nice-looking acquisition announced. Looks like the kind of high margin business Angus likes. Immediately earnings enhancing before acquisition costs so hopefully the market will like it. No doubt Angus will be looking at synergies to squeeze out some cost from the business. This could be what we need for another push on the share price. 350p here we come!
Looks like you might have it spot on so far.
I actually was expecting this rise, though I don't expect it getting much higher than 310-15 between now and results. Just sold 50%, no idea what is going to happen on results day. Honestly, my gut feeling says down, 10-15%, then quickly back up and over 350 early next year...then a bid buy one of the big boys. Cloud computing is the way forward, and more governments and IT companies are finally catching on.
Got your 310 this morning Tim. How good do you think these half year results will be. They said 'both revenue and profits expected to be materially ahead of the comparative period last year' sounds very promising but was not expecting this much of a rise so quick.
every time it looks like its about to break, another few thousand limit orders are added.. annoying. Should fly though as soon it it breaks. Next level seems to be 302-305 then 310. At least at the moment.
Been watching this all day, I'm still waiting for a bid price of £2.96 before I can exist. Based on pure observations and no new market news I can't see it getting much above £3.10 before results.. but who know's short term it really could go either way. I'm banking on £310 by 02 Dec, a small dip on results, £2.75 (topup) then up to 350 May 2015. Just my views, nothing scientific.
What are people's targets now we are hitting 300p?
*exit..
I may be missing the point here, but the spread is 2.85-2.95 i.e. 10p .When ever there is a sell, the trade price is going to drop to ~2.85, then when there is a buy, it jumps back up to ~2.95. The last trade price is not the value at which you can buy or sell. If you are looking to exist, monitor the bid price. I'm sorry if this is obvious..
For the last week or more the share price drops about 10p every morning and then quickly recovers. Any reason for this?
Gordo, I agree going great, I think that there could be a couple of reasons for the rise. Firstly Theresa May made an announcement yesterday that companies would have to retain customer data for minimum of a year, which will need more data storage. Secondly Rachspace had an RNS today about a survey which points to boardrooms rather than IT making the decision to move to the cloud. You should be able to google both items.
Absolutely brilliant day here. We finally have a breakout!!! Wouldn't be sure of a takeover, I just think it's been testing levels around here for a while and the confidence has finally got it over the line. Next stop 320p
Just over a month to go until results. Hopefully we can bounce back up from this gradual downtrend soon
I totally agree with you . I bought back in again in December after selling on the mini rise over a year and a half ago and have stopped myself from pressing the sale button ! I learned my lesson in Cupid ( now csi) and didn't sell on the rise and am now stuck there and don't want the same to happen here but this is a different story but when to exit is a dilemma for me as for once I am in profit big-time. I don't want to be too greedy but at the same time I'm enjoying the rise , just brilliant! Atb
I guess the questions are, 1. where is the share price going to settle? 2. when the interim results come in will we see another flash crash or an increase! I for one am getting out at 305.00, though £4 could even be possible by Q2 next year...easy to get greedy.
9th Dec last year and 10th Dec the previous year so I would imagine that it would be around the same time.
Hey guys - anyone know when the interim results are due? seems to be around Dec, but wondered if anyone knew the date?
I thought good news might be in the offing when the CEO subscribed for 160000 shares @ 255p as part of the DRIP. Today's trading update is certainly very positive in tone. I think we'll get back to £3 very soon.
Iom is on Aim so you can expect a bigger spread. The Sp has its own agenda (MM's T/o or whatever). If it was based in one of HMG Tax havens like Channel Isles, I of M or British Virgin Isles etc, you could expect strange price movements, but it is based in Glasgow and Directors hold 19%. As I have said it looks like a good Coy. Spread created by MM's - Sp movement should be determined by the difference between sellers and buyers (which does not seem to happen). Anyway, I see it as being very risky until things settle down and numbers start making some sense, but Imo could do very well. Apologies for not being too helpful. Dyor etc and Good Luck.
What is going on with this share? Why is the spread so big?
