We all know one a company states administration and suspends for that reason then its all over and nothing anyone can do about it unfortunately.

Tuan6, the company's intention is that shareholders ARE going to be shafted in order to keep some of the assets running or making a return for the company's creditors.

Shareholders only own shares in IOG plc reference these snippets from RNS :

the Board has now regrettably concluded that IOG plc should be placed into administration ("the Administration") in order to preserve the value of the business for creditors.

Discussions are intended to continue during the Administration with a view to a potential restructuring solution that protects the operating subsidiaries, which are not being placed into administration.

We have not found a viable solution that would provide a return to shareholders.

In the context of the existing bond waiver which expires on 29 September 2023, discussions have been held with a representative group of senior secured bondholders and their advisors regarding a potential additional capital injection and associated restructuring of the Company. Discussions are intended to continue during the Administration with a view to a potential restructuring solution that protects the operating subsidiaries, which are not being placed into administration.

There is still a light on how to keep those gas working to make money. Maybe lost something but they will pump more money in return they will take over or somehow agree to make it work so it will benefit both.

Not end of the world yes and waiting it will come back soon.

Misleading RNS's are the reason most got stung here, that is if it goes into administration. FCA need to do something about these misleading RNS's, but they won't.

I've been invested in this since around July this year. These are high risk high reward type of shares, anyone buying this after reading rubbish on a bb, need their heads examining.

Does anyone sensible know how much debt this company holds exactly?

Could it be possible that it is not viable for the creditors to enter administration, they might get a lot less money then the anticipate?

Would it be better for them just to lend more money??

FCA do nothing event many CEO committed many faults misleading RNSs but they ignored all of them . How do people believe FCA can do anything with poster in public forum at all? All of post in here without insider info is for expression personal only then nothing can bring to take any kind of acting commit a criminal.

i've traded iog a few times over the years and see the same old usernames punping it, even when the **** was hitting the fan they would be saying to ignore the cash situation, winter is coming, fresh talks with bondholders, offtake partners, sell the debt etc... now they are just finger pointing at each other. their all as bad as each other. i doubt it's anything sinister from iog bof just shareholders trying to extract as much value as possible by getting people in. i just feel sorry for the people who got sucked in.

word of warning for any new investors, everyone on here has their own agenda and the end result is to make money, don't listen to anyone regardless of how many posts they have or how well regarded they are, do your own research, think of things logically and if your not sure what your doing do not buy any shares, put your money in the bank.

Poorinvestor - like it or not, when people posted messages that encouraged readers to ignore immediate cashflow and short-term liability issues and focus on increasing gas prices and winter forecasts, that is an encouragement to buy.

LSE have all of our IP addresses, the FCA can request this information. I've absolutely nothing to hide and it's plain to see I've been calling out this situation for a while all the time you've been accusing me of shorting this when it's obvious people were moving out.

What the company is now trying to do is quite common in these situations in leaving the existing debt burden with the parent company.

Bebeto, you sound like you were part of the scam. A narrative builder, sent by the bod. This company has more assets then debt, in a fair world, assets would be sold for fair value, creditors etc paid and the rest distributed amongst shareholders.

I don't think it's a scam, the SP went from over 40p to under 1p with a high debt to equity ratio on underperforming assets.

People who paid 40p, 20p & 10p aren't calling it a scam, it's just those late to the party when the company is in its final stages of life, who tried to ramp others in for them to feed off or sheep who just blindly follow. IMO
