what is the bottom line re receiving these shares?
Impossible to time the market so I remain all in.
but kept half my holding. Sold a lot else too and bought Manolete since they are in the only business that will gush money in this market! Sitting on cash now for a while before bottom-fishing.
I have now sold out having made a nice 49% profit. I only hold my investments for 12 months.
Nice one Burnie, that's why I think most of us are in the game. It's always great to hear a success story. Maybe we'll see you back here after the market crashes to pick up some bargains? ;)
hit the nail on the head there urbanguru got in here at £1.60 during covid times and bottled it last week at £5.40 the day before the drop lucky timing i guess,i wanted to hold for the next divi and n91 shares but got to nervous with everything thats going on at the moment, this has been a game changer for me and thanks to investec have managed to pay of my mortgage so will always love this share and if there is another market correction won`t hesitate in buying again, good luck to everyone still holding.
Can't argue with that. I'm wondering if the share price has just got too juicy for many and they're taking profits?
It went up 11% on the 9th March and not one comment.
Didn't exactly happen overnight did it?
I don't recall people asking for a RNS explaining the 133% rise over the last 12 months.
Too right, about 10% since close of play Monday???
..an RNS to explain this fall?
Goldman Sachs downgrade probably want to buy some cheaper gla regards jack
No. I was wondering whether the drop today was because the shares have gone ex-cap, but no RNS either!
Has anyone heard/seen any n91 - Investec share allocation numbers (confirmed)? Cheers.
nol i have a fairly well diversified portfolio. Some doing well, some (like growth stocks) taken a hit
Is it your only share ? If so I would sell the majority and invest in a range of other stocks or an index tracker.
I bought this share at near the lows in the covid panic. So am looking at nearly 200% increase. Lucky me! Here is the (very 1st world problem!). I like this share. I like the dividend and i like the higher interest rates and good for banking.... But should i now top slice? Sell 30% of my holding? The trouble is i dont have anything better to invest in (maybe national express value stock). I dont wnat to put the money into my longer term / higher risk growth stocks (that have been hit badly this year). Or should i topslice 30% and hold cash and buy back if crash? Although i think the crash has been delayed until Q3 2023 due to Ukraine... what are my fellow investors doing/strategy?
Hi, all the info is in the rns above...
I'm not sure we will be any better off, seems a bit like rearranging the deckchairs, same deckchairs but in a different position...
Where are you seeing this? I received an email today titled “ PROPOSED DISTRIBUTION OF NINETY ONE SHARES AND PUBLICATION OF INVESTEC SHAREHOLDER CIRCULAR” says to visit Investec.com which is not really that useful. Are we required to do anything or are the shares auto-allocated to ISA’s?
one N91 share for every 7 investec held. That's definitely better than I thought.
...this week. Expect new high.
...of our (not quite) free N91 shares.
Depends on your timeframe and whether you (and I) have the metal to stick it out!
I think I’ve answered my own question from a few weeks ago as to weather or not I should of sold out or not!
What are peoples thoughts on the effects of this war and investec?
