Wow I have just seen the 2 large Buys this morning is this the start of something big ?
I have just topped up by reducing my buffer on my current account Buying 30,000 shares at 0.615 & looks to me that there are a number of Buys at the same rate but showing as Sells. For me this share is a Strong Buy.
Many companies like INFA, at this stage in their life, have their value based on sentiment and nothing else. Until they start making money I.e. profits you cannot get a realistic sp maintained at a level commensurate with earnings and debt. In the short term there maybe EU grants and returns of money spent already as part of a debt deal that may or may not bolster the sp but until the caverns are built and the first gas is injected you can only have a guess at what the sp might be at any time. Imo you could be waiting another 3 or 4 years for a decent on going return from IslandMagee and other mooted projects
Good post GT 430 but there is history in INFA. When it was kicking around in the 1,8p's there was almost blatant manipulation of the SP to the benefit of a small group of investors. It has not recovered from that. Since then we have seen a Chairman resign without giving a days notice and we have witnessed the dismissal of one of our brokers, again without any adequate explanation. There are suggestions that the last placing was "flipped" which does much to account for the 50% fall in the SP. Strange stuff, but this is AIM !
Now for a bit of opinion. We will not get a new Chairman until the finances for the construction etc, are sorted simply because the partner will make that decision. My guess is that that will also depend upon surety in relation to the Marine Licence and a few other details.
Like you I am impressed by JW but he exhibits,(in my opinion), a tendency to announce via twitter, investor meetings, and interviews, none of which are credible conduits. Best to leave announcements for RNSs and to then ensure that the contents are met withot slippage. Failure to comply fully creates mistrust and since Aimers invest almost exclusively for very short term profit they take their money elsewhere at the slightest whiff of doubt.
I wouldn't worry about institutional investors at this point in the cycle. They will appear when the time is right for them. That's if they get the opportunity !
I'm well invested here and I believe in the project, and in JW, but I regret the opportunity cost to me of having a lot of money tied up here when I might have it invested elsewhere. So roll on some SP augmentation.
3 Good Posts today folks..especially from GT430 ..sounds like a most powerful motor !! Usually quiet here at weekends.I have encouraged Chrisatrdg to stay with us as quite a few will have bought at around 1.25 ( the price of the last Placement ) and now showing a loss. GT430 hits the nail bang on the head about us being an AIM Tiddler..After all we only have minimal staff and office back up and rely upon the expertise of the BOD including JT over the water..how they keep all the plates spinning beggars belief .IMHO the SP will stagnate and be in the doldrums for a while just yet but when we have news ( the first being something more positive about E.U Grant funds) and of the I.D. of the new Chair .060p will look to have been cheap .
Be assured that there is lot's going on and the BOD do read and are aware of comments on this Board --they do take serious note too !!
Good post GT430 & I am sure that INFA will read your comments however I am sure they will 'catch up' with you eventually as INFA & the other companies that will be forming part of the group have to attract institutional investors & eventually move from AIM to a full listing on the London Stock Exchange.I have only an initial investment of 1m shares (in profit) & top ups of £0.5 (in loss) overall at a loss of £1.4 k.
Until they have the funding tied up INFA are running on a shoe string & cannot afford more overheads but when they have the finance the rest will follow.I have full confidence in INFA.
Thank you to all you larger, more experienced, investors letting us know your opinions what JW and AR should be doing. What's the way of letting the BOD know or you presume they read these boards?
Thought I would hack a few lines together on what I believe is currently holding back Infa.
I have been clear on my views of the project and JW/Arun – I have zero concerns on Islandmagee as a project and its need to be developed. My average buy-in is around 0.8p and I am holding a fairly large position so am feeling some pain right now but will hold these shares until glory or bust.
I do though think we have a large corporate problem. From their backgrounds JW and Arun are extremely highly qualified to execute Islandmagee but I don’t believe either has previously run a public company and it is showing – e.g. unrealistic messages to shareholders, random RNSs, etc etc
Infa is a tiny AIM company but we need a clear path to secure institutional investors – the like of Prudential, Fidelity etc who will buy large positions and hold for years. This will provide stability, bring other institutions, increase research coverage etc.
Right now no institution will touch Infa which means the shares are in the hands of emotional retail investors and day traders which causes huge volatility, profit taking, irrational trading etc
From a governance perspective we have two great executives but no Chairman – JW is holding both hats which breaks corporate governance 101. Malcolm is clearly a professional NED that probably puts his name to anything that pays a few quid and he seems to be there simply to make up the numbers without any actual gas storage experience.
We need a high quality Chairman with real public company experience who can take the burden off JW and Arun and deal with all the public market issues. We also need a couple of real NEDs with credible gas storage backgrounds to provide additional support and again improve governance. We also need a new PR firm or hire a dedicated PR/IR person. This will let JW and Arun get on with the business of taking Islandmagee forwards and leave the RNS, regulatory, shareholder, governance etc issues to others. This is also how we start to attract smaller institutions who then bring in the bigger ones.
Potential Chairman/NED candidates can sign NDAs and really get up to speed as to what is going on with the company so I don’t see any reason why they can’t be brought on now.
JW – you have my full support but let’s please get the corporate governance sorted so you can build the project and not spend your time dealing with corporate nonsense!
Sounds like a win/win for INFA.
Islandmagee will be supplying gas to the EU (Southern Ireland) so should be supported by EU funding, plus UK Government will have no choice but to support gas infrastructure projects supplying gas to the UK (again....Islandmagee).
If we get another beast from the east....again happy days for Islandmagee.
He might like to know poss UK interconnector plans Icelandic geothermal.
Feels like we're having a bit of a breather.
08:30 Monday morning!
Ton..........I reckon the other 64% of UK gas comes from Nazareme.
bennyson, I imagine the item you highlighted will only affect the Republics's offshore oil and gas industry.
Bishop takes knight on e4, discovered x-ray check......yawn!
Five Trades, one for a whopping £1.54. Three posts, one having nothing whatsoever to do with INFA. Just about sums up the current lack of interest.
Saw them 2006 MK bowl. My fave track. Sad story behind it.
Not long until Oct
Most news is going to be in the forth quarter,
So in the words of GreenDay "Wake me up when September ends".
Still Keeping the Faith!
I still hold £30k at over a penny from 2 yrs ago. Nearly got to breakeven not long ago. This company seesaws like the tides. I frequently kick myself for not selling at slight loss when it praks. I don’t visit here much as had given up. Confused by all the promises and little fruition. Having been part of the takeover I have seen people at the top take profit and run. Probably best if I hibernate again and leave it as all very confusing as to what /when .
Well done Dawski
Thank you,Setanta ..as always --I didn't actually acquire 10m yesterday but dipped in after the fall to wet my appetite for these beauties going over the 6% .OK..lot's of imponderables to overcome still and some quite unexpected negatives lately despite Vitol .....BUT am assured that all issues inc Marine Licence ,E.U. monies and final unconditional Offtake + Equity/Debt arrangements WILL be secured probably by year end,and not just to keep in with Costain and pay them off as per the deal.I have been here ( like a few others) for 10 years or so and never felt better for this share despite the knocks yesterday !!
Dawski's extra 10Million,or so, shares had more affect on the SP today than JW's update. Well done Dawski, you're a believer!
The update just served to reiterate what was already known after yesterday's maladroit RNS. One can judge the level of investor interest and confidence in INFA and it's management by the paucity of contributing posters here. Just the usual few faithful posters plus a few passers by making arbitrary comments.
We need a new Chairman,( but we won't get one until the financial deal is agreed), and we need some positive good news rather than possibilities which then suffer time slippage.
I am confident that the INFA project will be a success but I wouldnt like to put a time scale on any SP enhancement.
Hail Dawski !
I think John came across quite well in previous interviews he has done with Proactive, there are things that could be clarified within Wednesday’s rns. When an rns is released it gives the company an opportunity to reach a wider audience to get their story out as well as reassuring existing shareholders. If John doesn’t do any of those interviews shareholders will be like mushrooms for possibly the next 5 months or so.
Re. Yellow Jersey, feck knows what they do!
no need for further interviews we know the strategy long term but until we have signed deals nothing to say. I am sure it is very expensive to employ Yellow Jersey for PR is this really necessary when we have no positive cashflow. Main focus needs to be Marine license and keeping shareholders informed of progress or issues. Sadly i think shares will continue to drift down below 0.5p until positive signed and sealed news is delivered.
YellowJersey
Has John any interviews lined up for today or Friday?
