Increased capacity at existing sites is very positive as it implies that there is strong demand.
It also counters the point made about needing new content at the moment as the operators clearly believe that the existing content can continue to attract visitors.
I wonder what this translates to in financial terms ?
From opening day the Gorilla Trek VR experience drew lines and was an incredible hit with guests, operating at over 80% capacity during peak times. Chester Zoo was able to take an idle space and make it into a successful revenue generator.
6 more seats at Sydney.
Coincides with the zoo winter lights festival which means potential customers from morning opening until 10pm on a daily basis until January.
It’s going to be very interesting to see how this performs.
I agree with the spin offs and don’t see how they can commit effort to those parts of the business until any deal is finalised.
I have a feeling we will hear news on lots of fronts fairly soon.
Yes looks very impressive. Easy to install but also easy to move around. With the seats in stock we should have enough for about 8 of those with out much capital expenditure.
However wise they would get the spin off and sale sorted.
Possibly a game changer .
What an easy install compared to the previous methods .

I am always hopeful things grow quickly but I am not expecting this new format lead to a dramatic increase in headsets.
The massive head office overhead is almost covered, so we could be breaking even this year. This is a super exciting time! Next year we are starting out with 30% more headsets in the wild, which is about 1.3mil in extra revenue in the first six months of the year. The increase in the second half of the year wont be as dramatic as most new headsets were active by then this year (but as we all remember the first two zoo rollouts were a little delayed so they didn't get a full 6 months). They have already spent big on additional headsets this year, so that cost will be no where near £800k next year (unless we grow dramatically in which case we can forgive them). All in all I think we will see £1mil - £1.5mil in profit next year if they announce no new customers (which obviously wont happen). And even if we don't see it as profit I am sure we will see it like we have this year as extra investment in the business to grow.
As an afterthought.
These units offer a considerable cost saving to Immotion.
They can be set up by the team at their base , prior to being shipped to customers, thus minimising travel ,hotel and various other costs that would normally be incurred during a new installation..
As they are all the same, there will also be a huge saving on design and architects costs.
It will be very interesting to see how quickly they can roll these units out.
Let’s hope they have twenty units already made up and ready to drop off before Christmas.
Shareholders could do with some decent news.
Fair play to them.
It looks excellent !
People must be loving the animation they put on their twitter today of the new modular system they have set up in Dallas. Fingers crossed this momentum continues! I will be back in Manchester for the holidays and would like to sing their praises without the family chastising me for all the money I am losing investing!
I am slightly inclined to agree with you, regarding new content.
First they have to make Gorilla Trek experience pay for itself and that’s going rather slowly.
Who knows what they have planned for the home based stuff going forward.
The rise today suggests we will hear news soon,.
Amazing how the market seems to know everything in advance.
It's a fair point but they have developed the Gorilla Trek more recently.
Let's explore HBE still seems to be selling on Amazon and ebay (although this will be irrelevant once sold). The attractions are aimed mainly at children, and each year another new batch comes along...
I am sure they will be developing new experiences, but this year was all about getting the business on a sustainable financial footing.
If I had a real concern going forward, I worry about the lack of new content either for LBE or the long neglected HBE. Where are the new experiences being created?. certainly no CGI projects have been added to lets explore oceans or vodiac
It looks like they have opened a Gorilla Trek at Chester Zoo which I don't think has been rns'd . It looks container sized so 6-8 seats? which will be enough to push the over the 500 seats they expected to hit this year.
Yep !
My mistake.
RNS released 13th October:
Immotion Group plc (AIM:IMMO), the immersive entertainment group, is pleased to announce that it has signed two new zoo partners. Firstly Dallas Zoo, where we will install our first 12-seat outdoor solution, and secondly Oklahoma City Zoo which will be an 8-seat 'Gorilla trek' installation.
Immotion is pleased to have Dallas Zoo as its launch partner for their new modular 'Gorilla Trek' solution, due to open mid November.
the sales tag on the two assets look paltry and not in any sense the potential exponential profit they looked during covid. with those out of the scene then it just becomes a workmanlike share that will make profits on slow expansion.
i'm not sure why this has lost the promise of 2020 or even early 2022 but the price is less than half the that level and i'm not sure what's going to gee it up unless china 's going to say it's doubled the revenue in the next update, which is not really likely, eh!
Looking at the figures last year and this year I think we maybe on for a small profit of 50k - 150k.
It will be the 350k from the spin offs that tip us over.
Has anyone else had a guess at the figure this year? Would be interesting to see how far out I am to what you guys think.
Ultimately the company has been dealt a tough hand over the last three years but has weathered the storm well which has not been reflected in the share price. A couple more signings this side of xmas and holders should be happy with the company performance this year, regardless of wider market conditions.
The recent change in broker can only be deemed a positive due to the team specialising in growth companies and we should hopefully see some momentum in the share price once the market picks up. I haven't seen any notes from the analysts yet so they may put one out soon?
Absolute bargain share price at these levels IMO.
Can buy for 2.42 and sell for 2.45
Very odd.
Good to see that at least they have some more, but disappointing they are relatively small compared to the first two.
Lets hope they have some bigger fish waiting to be caught
Another 20 seats signed up, this takes them to 496 so there is a good chance they will exceed 500 this year as expected.
Hopefully this will stop the slide in the share price. I guess the next news will be the sale of the UVsan and HBE probably with a sight of numbers after the October half term holiday periods.
Yep...my dalliance in VR ended today
