If I had a real concern going forward, I worry about the lack of new content either for LBE or the long neglected HBE. Where are the new experiences being created?. certainly no CGI projects have been added to lets explore oceans or vodiac
Yep...my dalliance in VR ended today
Just bought my vodiac pack. Pleasantly surprised at how much content there is included as well as how long I spent wearing it. Im looking forward to any new content as promised so please dont under deliver. Practically, the hardware is the same headset as the Ocean explorer pack but the interface feels far more intuitive and simple to use. I can imagine this thing really taking off if they get the market ting right as well as delivering lots and lots of fresh content.
I dont think its a setback in the longterm. I can imagine in his time with Immotion that Ian Hetherington made a difference and set a lot of good things in motion that the team will capitalise on going forward. It is a huge loss non the less
Incredibly sad fact for the day today. Games industry insider just posted that Ian Hetherington died after a short illness. The man seems to have left a legacy of positive creative thinking everywhere he worked.
Thank you Stalin123....sounds very interesting but still frustrated to not see meat on the bones as a proposed release this quarter. Really good to see this company constantly thinking on its feet.
Im still struggling to understand what Vodiac is and will do... are there any links you know of that will help as I am struggling to find anything other than Google trying to auto correct it to Zodiac...lol
Totally agree and I really look forward to the update. I struggle a little to see how dinosaurs will sit within an app thats specifically about oceans but anything new will be good
Absolutely agree and with Higginson at the helm along with Ian Hetherington.... cant see anything less than massive success looming
I know that the studio at media city has gone with a number of redundancies. I just hope that they have lots of new products and experiences in the can for a good Christmas release. Hoping for some new "at home" updates as promised.
Do you think hardware maintenance could be an issue sometime soon?. Specifically the hardware in use at the LBE sites?. A contact of mine has told me that the Chinese manufactured motion seats have an active lifespan of approx 3 years
It looks as if all of the Victoria studio team have either moved to new premises or all all working remotely. A colleague of mine had business in the Victoria in the Quays last week and she told me the studio was closed and empty. Hopefully more experiences released soon, especially something exciting for the Christmas home market.

the stuff here looks very similar
weird but all this new content is bought in and has been used before by other people who bought the same content
I only presume that most if not all staff are still on furlough. hit a bit of a wall myself when trying to contact them
Hate to commit to writing this but it does look like Covid is and will be part of our world for the next few years at least....disinfecting and demonstrating how well you disinfect will be the new industry standard

Uvisan is gaining some ground with some high profile orders
I bought my pack from Amazon so I dont have a figure im afraid. I did hear some rumblings through a contact that they are working full pelt on a dinosaur themed pack for release in the fall.
I bought my Oceans pack and was pleasantly surprised. Did have a couple of tech niggles but the quick response from support set me right. The dinosaur offering could well end up being this years cabbage patch kids
