Stars run on hydrogen fusion due to gravity-induced thermal pressure, don't they?
Surely "Star energy" would be selling hydrogen and harnessing thermal energy, like a star..?
Therefore it must be a green company, so it's okay to put in your portfolio.
New Corporate Website
Star Energy is pleased to announced that it has launched a new corporate website at www.starenergygroupplc.com .
Taking Gas out of the name appeals to green brigade but having gas in the name makes it more attractive in times of high gas prices. Sentiment is everything.

Could be good for the green brigade but if gas prices increase in the winter counter productive.
Biggest issue here us a complete lack of interest or sentiment. Just no action that these little firms need to bump up the SP

It amazes me that the seismic risks of geothermal drilling are never mentioned in the media but fracking is banned because of similar risks. The Green blob strikes again.

Also, hire the locals if possible. Boost the local economy.
If they are in on the operation, direct or indirect, there will be no complaints.
Population of Gelntworth is only 310 as of 2021.
Just in case, I have suggested to Igas plc that they could offer to pay locals to let out their houses to Igas drillers and support workers (and possibly their families) in the very small village of Glentworth. £500k-£1m py is my guessimate.

Does this miles5 person really believe in eu "joy"? I know he doesn't know his history but really?
Europe is communism, GB's going that way too with 15 minute cities and no cash allowed just credits depending on your carbon score.
We in the west are in the same boat whether we like each other or not and its one that's holed in the side with a torpedo heading its way for good measure.
All ad-hominems nd no substance from some people.
They can be safely ignored and blocked!
pasajerodeltoro: We are all impatiently waiting for you to depart elsewhere together with your toxic views and fundamentally flawed technical ideas.. honestly, it cannot come any sooner. Not Spain for you tho mate... you voted for Brexit, you're stuck on this dump of an island together with pawnsacrifice, another ultimate creature and your lot get no EU joy. Do enjoy the Falklands or Myanmar!!!! #RuleBritannia #BritanniaMasterofTheDump
Gainsborough needs to be sorted out before there is real progress that leads to profits, imho.
Currently, the green energy argument doesn't hold water b/c the establishment is willing to use coal as a backup.
However, the anti-ff agenda will probably lead to them demolishing the last coal power stations in the UK.
When they are done with that, these self-destructive numbskulls will target gas power stations.
CCP-made nuclear just isn't feasible in a short timeframe when there are also many anti-nuke nimbys.
If the gas power grid goes down, parts of the country will be uninhabitable in winter,
and the only option for those who can't afford renewable-powered heat pumps would be mass migration!
I know where I will be going...
Costa del Sol !!!
What funding are you talking about? They have the RBL, they may want to issue some specific debt for a project, not for the company, so it does not affect the RBL. 16% of the H1 production is hedged at great prices, and Brent is not going back to 80$. You talk about the financing like the company needs a PP to keep the operation going.

@pasajerodeltoro. Thats one cool username.
I read your posts with the upmost of interest.
The World economic theatre has certainly found itself with a bit of a problem. We need high interest rates to calm inflation and yet our financial institutions are highly vulnerable to the stronger bond markets as seen with the recent bank bailouts. Whats just as concerning is the over exposed hedge funds.
The relationship between Russia and China looks pretty cosy. Why would China want to stop the Ukraine war ?. The answer is that China has no intention of stopping the war in Ukraine because essentially its growth forecasts are based upon on cheap oil and gas from Russia.
As cynical as it sounds, I believe its the agenda of China and Russia to keep placing inflationary economic conditions on the weakened West. I am by no means a conspiracy theorest. I do have a degree in economics however.
We are imop in a economic episode not seen since the 1930s. My worry is World War normally follows economic crashes . I might sound depressed an yes my girlfriend was definitely happy with me yesterday but what we are witnessing is fascinating.
Any chance of some more share dilution, you think?
With interest rates up, it would look at lot more attractive for a
company to issue share warrants than to borrow money.
But, I think they should only do that in a major way
if they can recover their finances at some point from contracts signed.
Warrants are usually issued for share capital reorganisation.
For example, share capital could be converted into a dividend reserve.
Then, the company could issue scrip dividends aka 'bonus issues' at a later date.
These shares would only be issued to current investors, thus rewarding long term holders.
Of course, there would be short term pain for this as the sp will fall more,
but it'll vastly improve investor confidence in the long run.

Lots of buyers at 17.30p. I am waiting for 14.75. I am also hoping to meet Nicole Kidman.
This company is biting at the bit. Grrrrr.
Volcker rule wasn't completely repealed, but it was scaled back to enable some prop trading.
That enabled SVB to trade the LT US bonds, but they were unable to do forex trading,
b/c of restrictions on foreign investments. The consequence of this was a strong dollar.
Why did SVB crash?
SVB had plenty of capital, but they locked alot up in LT bond investments w/o sufficient yield.
Regulations force banks to own a certain amount of bonds.
SVB were playing it safe, but safety is a mirage in US markets.
In theory, SVB should've avoided the bond market altogether until the rates went up.
They could've stayed in cash and just played forex for a short period.
However, regulations forced them to buy bonds.

I just had a new H2 ready combi installed, as I said before. I doubt now that H2 will be put into local networks, leading straight into people's homes b/c of the safety issues and insurance liabilities.
My installer admitted to me that gas boilers were on their way out and everything will go electric, just like I described before. He's even switching to an electric induction hob himself. However, massive power requirements mean massive bills if you want to rely on your govt approved power monopolies for new nuclear power stations and so on.
Imo, the best long term option is to go off-grid as much as possible.
HFCs are a stepping stone to that end for the majority of individuals;
Geothermal systems are the best option for small communities, where it's feasible to do so.
In fact, I expect they will just replace everything with the new composite plastic pipes , and when I say "pipes" I include the main pipes for towns and cities. Although, there are types of steel that can be used to safely transport hydrogen. These steel pipes are made in Germany.
https://pipesourceuk.com/hydrogen-ready
https://wiki2.org/en/Hydrogen_pipeline_transport
All the old iron piping will be replaced in the next few years, and I expect copper will be too.
The demand for oil to make the required materials will go through the roof as the new grids get rolled out,
not just in the UK, but around the world.
Where will they be made?
For the H2-ready plastic pipes, I'd suspect it'll be China, and perhaps that's why they are ordering so much oil on a continuous basis. For the H2-ready steel, it's Germany.

Miles5 apparently wants censorship b/c he can't win an argument.
Points you made:
1. "Horrific" - Yes, I can be to my enemies, so don't go there.
2. "Brexit loving" - I neither love or loathe Brexit.
The facts are that:
[i]. David Cameron chose to go ahead with it becasue UKIP was a threat to the Tories,
[ii] The majority voted of UK for it, but there was some dubious private counting involved (in Scotland),
[iii] Brexit was never fully carried out, because most politicians are on a gravy train of one sort or another.
Therefore, the lack of progress with Brexit has exposed the hypocrisy and corruption within the Tory govt.
Whilst the so-called Brexit negotiations were being carried out and the UK's armed forces were being scaled back, the EU was pushing for a military union with the UK. Also, a "Common Purpose" agenda was put into action leading up to the Pandemic. None of this was indicative of a puch for legit independence from the EU.
[iv] Brexit will certainly be reversed if any left-wing party gets into power.
3. "COVID a hoax" - As I have personally experienced the disease twice, once just recently, I can assure you that it is not a hoax. I never said it was a hoax, but I admit that I did say that statistics were being manipulated, and that Matt Han**** was manipulating the public - and that has been confirmed via WhatsApp.
Also, I did say that the predecessor to the SARS-CoV2 virus likely came from a cave full of bats, eight years before the outbreak, because some Chinese miners were exposed to a similar SARS virus and they were sent to a Wuhan Hospital. Samples were sent to the (PLA controlled) Wuhan University lab and experimented upon until the lab leak which first broke out onto the campus and then spread internationally. This has been confirmed by whistleblowers and even defectors from China.
4. "BNP, EDL, ...Trump" - hold no lasting interest for me politically.
I never financially supported any of their political campaigns.
I have spoken out against some of their policies and practices.
I am not interested in them politically log term,
b/c they have unwise vested and nefarious interests of their own.
However, both Establishments certainly fear them all,
b/c these groups have helped to expose crimes inthe UK and US crimes that get covered-up by govts.
As for ILLEGAL migrants:
[i]. Why don't you consider the LEGAL migrants that have made many sacrifices,
in order to live in the UK, whilst following all rules required?
[ii]. Are these migrants worth less to you because they aren't as pathetic and helpless?
[iii]. Is it okay to forgive foreign criminals of high crimes (like rape, murder, theft, terrorism,... etc) ,
just because they entered the UK on a small boat, w/o papers?
Miles, sounds like you're suffering from piles. Filtered.
Why would anyone have to apologize for brexit. Leaving that unelected debtridden monstrosity was the best thing we ever did. Just a shame we're still being punished for it.
re Ukraine you are of course totally wrong. Even MSM were willing to give some facts out at the beginning.
You've just been programmed Miles3, hoping you do get to jump out soon you've nothing to add of your own self.

panwsacrifice: you are really making sure that pasajerodeltoro is in fine company here... not only do we have Brexit apologists, but also horrifically braindead people who fall for Kremlin propaganda and complete bs conspiracy theories on how the Euromaidan was a CIA/US operation.... the sheer levels of stupidity on here are absolutely shocking... really hope this stock gets better before jumping out and avoid the company of such trash like you and pasajerodeltoro.
Agree pasajerodeltoro and have emailed IGAS several times to ask them to look into farming into projects abroad to regain market interest.
With the hatred of oil/gas co's in the UK they're just a value trap now imho.
We've got co's on the market with great potential but no cash. They could likely farm into MSMN's 2nd Australian licence for a song as an example, PRD would likely love a partner in Morocco and there must be a lot more plays that punters here could think of.
Needs a forward looking ceo imo rather than this interim one.
