Well things could get quite interesting with the proposed new attitude towards shale..
"no planning permission" - Sir, I think you may have missed an RNS in the past.
By my reckoning the proposal equates to a one new share for every twenty existing shares. A holder of 50k existing shares will receive 2,500 new shares that will be worth c£1 each. It's a sensible move when 37% of existing shareholders have holdings worth less than £10 (200 shares each).
I don't think at the moment that they have the proven potential to consolidate their shares, it also means that unless you are holding upwards of 50,000, you would probably get 1000 shares out of it, and without planning permission and no shale gas coming to the surface what would be supporting the 1000 shares. Of course the 1000 shares would still have the same face value as the shares you pitched into the pot but rises on shares at 50pence each will be small and without anything happening , they will soon be down to 45 pps . More realistically I would suggest 30 pps is more than ample f

buys outweighing the sells
"Under the Conservative proposal, industry watchdog Ofgem would set a cap for the default standard variable tariffs, which are often criticised as bad deals for consumers by industry watchdogs" Basically if the government want to intervene in this way then they'll probably going to be careful not to get in the way of increasing onshore supply.
https://drillordrop.com/2017/05/05/blue-look-to-frontline-fracking-councils/ Interesting article picked up on UJO . Conservative councils are, of course, more likely to grant PP.
nice above 5p
"And Gillingham will be in the Premiership by 2022" Lol! #Hope
Read about Jim Ratcliffe's plans for fracking during his interview in the Sunday Times rich list.
ST reports that troubled Japanese company Toshiba are unable to proceed with the planned £15bn Moorside nuclear power plant which the government was relying on to provide base load electricity to 6 million homes. Another problem for UK energy strategy. Seems to me yet more reason why the government will continue to support shale gas development in the UK. A gas powered station can be built in a fraction of the time required for nuclear and with coal stations closing there will be presumably brown field sites available for redevelopment.
