Albi yes you’re correct and I did some good calls myself which made me money and / or increased my holdings but I missed out on other opportunities. Over the piece I’m even.
My other investments are doing well so I’m glad I took the tough decisions to sell most of my holdings when I did.
For now I wait, like everyone else for HUR to win crufts as best in class ;-). Let’s just hope DrT knows what he’s doing.
Wellwell,
I appreciate a certain jaded exhaustion can overcome us all at times particularly when reading about our investments on these boards. I've certainly had my frustrations but I don't agree that Hurricane hasn't been a good investment. I think many of us simply didn't play it the right way. Had we sold on the highs and brought on the lows we'd be laughing now but there we are. There is still a long way to go before it can be ruled a 'bad investment'. Is it the investment that's bad or the judgment of the investor? Hope you have a better day tomorrow!
Albi, sincere apologies for any offence you have taken by my use of that terminology. The background to it is some posters used similar words to describe one of my investments; and took great pleasure from it, when it skidded off the rails and I found it ironic (given where we are today) that their assigning Nanoco the name Nanodog in the past has come around the way it has. Old arguments with people not worthy so I'll leave it be.
As investments go, HUR has not been a good one you have to admit so let's hope things turn around and we can all be happy.
Albi1,
" This is a long term hold and to start posting on here with titles such as 'Talking of dogs', frankly is disappointing Wellwell. I would have expected more from the tenor of your posts over the years."
Seconded. Shoddy work, Wellwell. Go stand at the back of the class.
Wellwell
"HUR is the dog and has been for years let's face it."
I'm quite shocked at the change in your tone over the last few days. Hurricane is and always has been a high risk investment as an explorer and now fledgling producer. What the company has achieved is against all the odds to date. Plans change, things change, Spirit's sale has no doubt thrown a curve ball, as no doubt have many other things behind the scenes that they've had to deal with but can't spend every 5 minutes explaining themselves to PIs. It's not their fault if we make the choice to invest in a high risk aim stock and don't get our expectations met in the timeframe we hoped. It's our fault for making the wrong investment choice according to our needs. This is a long term hold and to start posting on here with titles such as 'Talking of dogs', frankly is disappointing Wellwell. I would have expected more from the tenor of your posts over the years.
lots of typos ....posted in haste!
Sadly it's case now of are the Shenanigans relating to water cut being peddled on TLF reality, or will they be exposed as grandstanding or worse part of a conspiracy.
I'm pretty disenfranchised with the whole thing and take some solace seeing my other investments finally clawing back some of the lost gains I had with HUR. Don't get me wrong though I've not lost anything hear other than and dreams and I sincerely hope we all make what's been lost. As for my confidence in it, that's shot up for now. It can turn quickly though.
ww. I thought I detected a change of stance in your post the other evening.
Unfortunately it disappeared; must've been on the "The Dr is on not your side" thread that was pulled...
They're also suing Samsung for patent infringement for QD OLED TV's and their case looks good.
HUR is the dog and has been for years let's face it. Too much hype driven largely by this board. I can't claim to be innocent myself although I did flag the water risk at the time as well as other concerns about the BoD and the environmental lobby and investing in oil stocks etc etc etc - just wish I'd followed my own advice entirely and not kept any of the shares when I sold after LC.
We can only hope the CMD is goods news and perhaps there will be some other announcements before then that offer a much needed boost.
Nano doing well on a promise of a takeover sorry I got out, that's what We need here as I wake up each morning and it's just like Groundhog Day.
That NANO dog share price is now exactly double that of HUR (at the time of writing) Who'd have thunk it.
:-)
