If you watched Higginson’s interview, he talked avidly about the large margins..
Perhaps he was overselling.
We shall see.
I agree, the number of followers and the growth in the number is a solid indicator of DD popularity, which is clearly growing strongly. My only concern is how profit/loss is going.
Facebook followers of Discount Dragon have shown an exponential rate of growth since Christmas.
Although there will be investors who consider this to be irrelevant, I would guess that it’s actually quite an important pointer as to the level of people interested in shopping on the site.
All good imo .
Yes think the new warehouse will be needed sooner rather than later. From my limited information of order numbers they seem to around 5000 per month off capacity of 30000
I forgot to add that on currently available clues, they are likely to be doing around £3 million sales per quarter , up from the 1.8 last stated.
Should see a profitable business quite quickly and it’s a great time to buy in on the cheap imo.
I expect they will sell that side of the business off so that they can focus on the growth of Discount Dragon.
Vodiac is a dead duck imo as they have not bothered to update it.
I have to confess to being quite negative when they took DD over, however the site actually looks very good and there are plenty of products at decent prices to choose from..
It appears that they are growing their customer base month by month and it will be very interesting to see the next set of figures.
I expect we may get an update on Lets Explore and Vodiac soon. Could they be spun off as a separate vehicle? No clues at present, other than the CEO wanting to make sales of these products a year round educational/entertainment business.
Virtual reality products are gaining in popularity, especially after Apple Vision Pro launch. There is a lot of potential in this part of the business.
Discount Dragon continues to perform well it seems. The fulfilment time in order processing is noticeably faster . The product offerings has broadened markedly and quarter over quarter growth in sales will surely look impressive. The question remains re the bottom line and the cost of sales.
Stripping away the sizeable cash position, the stock market valuation looks undemanding for HUD.
Shareholders being strategically robbed just as Velocys robbed everyone.
Historically, this share slumbers between news and makes decent gains when it arrives.
The remaining million in payment from the sale of Immotion is due this month, so the chances are that we will get confirmation of that, bundled in with some other positive spin in the very near future.
Did they sell off Immotion too cheap , or should they have sold at all ?
Findley had been serving as president of the Location-Based Entertainment division of Immotion Group since 2021 and as president of the company after it was taken private in March 2023. Since then, he has ensured the company’s further acceleration of growth, driving a 60% increase in revenue post-acquisition.
Actually, they did exactly that with Let’s explore.
I was tracking purchase numbers through both myself and mates.
Cost me a couple of hundred but I made quite a large profit off the back of knowing exactly how many they sold up to Christmas that year.
Schlum - keep schtum. I've done something similar for other companies in the past, but they changed to random numbers once it got out. That was the end of the edge.
Thanks for that.
That’s a very interesting metric .
Their Facebook followers have been going up by approx 1k a month .
I would guess that sometime over the month ahead, their will be some interest created with regards to the million getting paid , and we may get a positive update alongside.
Last 10 days of Jan approx 9000 orders. This is significant growth. Marketing costs and promotions will have increased costs. May soon be approaching capacity until new warehouse on stream.
Impressive.
Can you be kind enough to furnish us with some numbers please .
Order /revenue growth continues its uptrend through the end of Jan.
The new warehouse expansion may be needed sooner than anticipated.
I never like a change of broker it normally means something is in pipe. Good, bad or indifferent who knows. IMO of course.
They seem to get through brokers very quickly.
I like your style. Schlum.
Spend a bit to hopefully make a lot.
Clearly both Dec and Jan are both affected by holiday days. Nov was the highest throughput month at 20,000. Average order size is approx £30.
Dec 16.5k, Jan first 20 days 15k.
Product line and marketing effort considerably upgraded.
Hopefully new warehouse facility up and running later this year.
HUD’s growth will require significant management skills .
What numbers are they now selling please Schlum ?
I remember using the same method during the Covid era .
It was very handy at the time.
All orders have an invoice number. Simple sum to compare weeks/months. Currently running ahead of December.
Hi Schlum. Based on?
Order throughput in January looks strong.
Let’s explore space, Amazon reviews for this product are very positive for the last month. Only US reviews, no UK which is unusual. However still listed at £79.99, no discount. Other similar products have discounted their prices significantly, however they have lower Amazon star ratings.
