http://www.fool.co.uk/news/investing/company-comment/2009/06/10/alices-agms-gas-turbine-efficiency.aspx intereasting that Generation International Management (chairman Al Gore)have now over 20% as stated on their site.
So for what it's worth I will give my take on things. Firstly the company have restructured the debt and converted the loan holders into equity holders hence tying them into the company. This takes away any likelyhood of any of the previous loan holders foreclosing on the business as they are now shareholders like us. Having now cleared it's debts and with a growing order book there is a very strong likelyhood this company will now make profit which is probabbly why the loan holders accepted a loan for equity swap. There is also a strong possibility given the growing sales and impending profits that the company is ripe for take over which is probably why the loan holders also accepted equity for debt with the prospects of a future pay out given their now "Prefferential" creditor / shareholder status. Next issue if you look at the balance sheet of the company the fundamentals of the company are not that bad given the now debt free status as much of their previous revenues will have been used to service debt. Next; Even though from the 18th of April you will not be able to trade the shares on the open market you still own the shares i.e. they are not worthless they are worth the same on the 19th of April as they are on the 18th of April. Why are the shares still being heavily purchased more likely because somebody is taking up a heavy stake in the company and whilst understanding the 3% rule there are many ways around it i.e. buying shares in other names wife / daughter / son / auntie / uncle etc etc we all know the game. So with all this said and done why would somebody or a group of people be re-structuring and then re-acquiring the company? simples.. to make money.. which is why i feel there is a lot more to come yet. why would you want to hold as many of the shares as possible or if possible more than 51%? again a simple answer so that in the future you can make decisions on the company without refering it to meddling shareholders and more importantly you dont have to share your profits with them all of which makes the company more attractive for any prospective buyer. My position with these is to let the end game unfold however, understanding others positions can fully understand why some will exit before the 18th, and just a tip somebody wants these shares so dont give them away as even now you can get considerably more than the bid price with a real expectation of increasing value over the coming weeks imo.
You have not missed anything the delisting is going ahead as per RNS dated 1/0311
Evening, yes that is very odd, also do you not think that the buyer has passed the 3% threshold thats only 3064800 shares?
In the proposed restructuring RNS dated 1st March, the delisting is set for 18th of April or have I missed something???
Evening, yes you are correct, but this is AIM! Someone was buying@ 0.35 that,s why i got in,Honestly don,t know what is happening But why extend the delisting!!??
Is it not the case that board members can not buy or sell share for 30 days of an RNS being issued?
if the board have been buying would they not have to issue an RNS? and why would they not buy when the SP was 0.030??????
Good question!! some buying still going on WHY?tnx in advance GLA.
Possibly because as AndytheMKDON mentioned earlier... GTE board buying up shares so future profits isn't shared or someone is who is planning a takeover before the delist.
The question is why do we still have lumpy buys? please someone enlighten me.

Don't know how it works, I only know what I saw on my holding with RBS. Maybe there's time to deal for some amount of time afterwards or maybe my bank has got it wrong! Don't know whether to try & get rid of my shares or not. Pretty new to this too.

Gas Turbine Efficiency PLC ("GTE" or the "Company") Result of General Meeting The Board of GTE announces that, at the General Meeting of the Company held earlier today, all resolutions as set out in the Notice of Meeting dated 1 March 2011 (the "Resolutions"), were duly passed. The approval of the Resolutions at the General Meeting today means: · effective from 7.00am on 18 April 2011 the admission and trading of the Company's ordinary shares on AIM will be cancelled (the "Delisting"); and · the Company can expect to be formally re-registered as a private limited company on or around 18 April 2011 (the "Re-registration"); The Company will issue a separate announcement confirming when the Delisting and Re-registration have become effective. The Company announced on 1 March 2011 a restructuring of its outstanding secured loan notes by converting them to equity, which was conditional upon, amongst other things, on the approval of the Resolutions. Upon the satisfaction of the remaining conditions to the restructuring: · loan notes, totalling approximately US$18.5m, will no longer become due and payable on 21 April 2011 but will be converted into preference shares; · the Company will be able to retain the net proceeds from the sale of the aviation business announced on 29 December 2010; and · the security arrangements associated with the loan notes will be eliminated allowing the Company to pursue a working capital facility. The completion of the restructuring will provide the Company with a strengthened balance sheet, which will enable the Company to continue to explore strategic options including a sale of the Group while continuing to develop its business and operations. The Company will also issue a separate announcement confirming when such conditions have been satisfied and the restructuring has been completed, which is anticipated to be 18 April 2011
