His at it again on X putting out the copper boom etc etc blah blah blah... bored of it now hence not even posting link on here.
I want real results and movements now colin.
Thanks for illustrating my point Analytical -we would be much happier if Mr Bird was working on a deal to bring returns on GLR assets instead of wasting time tweeting the obvious
My personal take on Colin's tweets are a reflection of his intent for his companies. copper price is closely linked to their value. I'm not an expert at XTR, but Bushranger as i understand it requires the copper price to be at a certain level to be viable, our Luansobe is based off $9000t copper for the MRE.
The license has been granted to us, paperwork "on its way". The Zambian mining cadastre is not known for its efficiencies. we know this news is on its way. we know that with that golden ticket CB can engage 3rd part miners, buyers of ore etc etc, or potential customers for an outright purchase. Neither of which is to be rushed given what happened to Starzinc......which if the management and contractual arrangements werent left with holes in with Siege mining, we would be earning over $750k a month by now. Id rather wait and get things water tight for Luansobe and learn from mistakes
HI DC, I agree.
Also at $9000 that is for a 0.25% cut off (break even point). At higher $, all things being equal, the break even point drops.
Significant $$ to be made.
So is someone going to have a guess what a sale would be worth?
I’ve a gut feeling news in Thursday/friday. IMO dyor
Data, surely the dilemma is that majors want major projects. Smaller projects even with higher grades don't really float their boat.
As regards BR gor XTR, it's a huge deposit but the grades are c.rap and you would have to shift a shtload od muck to recover anything worthwhile
Some nice rounded bits today. Accumulation for the incoming rns(s)
I agree 3CB, the majors appear to just be buying eachother out at the moment. However that dilemma doesn't appear to solve the copper crisis. We are all "gambling" on the majors then stepping down off their ideal and taking the smaller resources ready to go and even at a lesser grade. This appears to be the case.
That coupled with the fact that Zambia is wringing itself dry of copper to get to 3m tonnes a yr from 700k.
The chips are missing in the right direction and we have an asset to play.
So.... 5 weeks after the meeting to approve mining licenses we still have no RNS from the Co. Do people seriously believe this is held up because of lack of formal notice from the Cadastre? The is a 500 million dollar asset... a plan had to be supplied for the licence ..CB treats shareholders as idiots..spouting hot air, vague insinuations. Pictures of dumper trucks last year..what was that ..some sort of selfie opportunity? Give the shareholders an update.
Maybe he forgot to pick up the license!
Too busy tweeting how he (Mr Bird) foresaw copper price rise to pick up licence
The whole world and it's dog know the Luansobe Mining Licence has been approved and is only one part of a complex procedure involving compliance (regulatory and statutory) as well as negotiations for contract, method, operations, processing (flow sheet) etc, etc. Why release an RNS piecemeal when a full and complete notification released to the market at the proper time would be more appropriate.
CB indicated an RNS would be issued on confirmation - as Analytical pointed out, the application which was approved, required a detailed plan. This could be released and further release on contractual implementation and expected timescales. You expect this to be in operation is a little over two months...another disingenuous snippet from a CB podcase.
Nothing in mining is straightforward and I doubt mining in Zambia is any different.
Well from my experience of investing in various Bird companies, no news is usually bad news. And whatever he spouts off about getting maximum value for long suffering shareholders, when it comes to it he doesn't give a toss about us. We were just the useful idiots who provided the initial and ongoing capital when needed.
Cooper lemon stated September/October for Luansobe start. The approval would not have been granted without a plan for where the ore will be processed and timescales declared to the Cadastre staff.
IMHO this will probably be the last chance to get GLR at these very low prices. I believe there will be a strong announcement on Luansobe (and maybe other assets) in the next few working days, early next week latest. As long as a clear and profitable plan is forthcoming I'm happy to wait a little longer.
Hope you are right cyber but I wouldn't hold your breath.
