It is dragging on abit now though this convo. Im fairly sure the culprits aren't the first or the last to dress up strong opinion as fact. Ranting back and forth off topic won't change that. War is bad......done. onto GKP
"I personally am sick and tired of reading long and tedious rants about putin's politics and I'm going to filter anyone who writes them. At least that way they'll take up less room on my screen. Bye Bye IndridCold"
no issue with that bill. if you're happy to stand by and say nothing while immoral morons like truthsayer and ****eye preach vile, untrue, delusional opinions dressed up as fact, that says more about you than it does me
"There is only one thing duller than a ranting, raving, insult laden ignoramus, and that is one with the grammar and syntax of a 10 year old"
there's that irony klaxon, going off full bore.......priceless
says the man who cant substantiate a single one of his own views. any time he is countered, he changes the subject, avoids the question or just simply lies.
and on top of being completely unable to construct an honest, logical, reasonable, intelligent, fact-based argument, when he finally does post up a link/source that has some validity, its one that proves his (and truthsayers) view absolutely wrong. it would be hilarious if the subject matter wasnt so tragic.
****eye if i am an "ignoramus" how come you have lost to me on every single point we have debated? what on earth would that make you?......a protozoa or similar? the hypocrisy is mind boggling, it really is.
have you ever heard of that saying:
"Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and to remove all doubt"
i suggest you heed that advice and quick.
and add to that he is "cheering on" (his words) Putin and his killing of thousands of Ukrainians (and Russians) because one battalion, in a country of 44 million, are Nazis. that's enough justification for him, for the dead men, women and children and the millions homeless.
the man is a scum bag, plain and simple.

Yes Indrid, I'll save you the clicks. Thank me later.... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Syntax

sorry all, as i know this is a GKP board, but one more thing to truly hammer home how Putin has already lost in the grand scheme of things and to deal another crushing blow to ****eyes and truthsayers nonsense.
so along side the crippling of his own economy, the reduction of his army, decrease in his military hardware and capabilities, the complete destruction of the idea Russia are to be feared by all, turning Russia into a pariah state, adding 2 more countries to NATO, there is also the Finland border question.
before the Ukraine invasion the NATO/Russia shared border spanned 754 miles across northern Norway, eastern Latvia and Estonia, and the borders with Poland and Lithuania around Russia's Kaliningrad region.
Putin made it very clear one of his primary goals was to deter the expansion of NATO
however with Finland joining it would add 830 miles of continuous border along northwestern Russia, taking the total to 1,584 miles.
so not only has Putin shot himself in the foot by his actions leading to 2 more countries joining NATO (the polar opposite of his aim) with Finland joining it has MORE THAN DOUBLED the NATO/Russia shared border. absolutely priceless.
then on top of everyone now knowing his threats against Sweden and Finland were empty, adding to the already present "paper tiger" tag, there will be an increase of NATO troops from 40,000 to 300,000......thats an increase of 750% just in troop numbers, not to mention all the hardware that will accompany the personnel.
the scale of Putins misjudgement in this respect, could not be made any clearer. he has made a MASSIVE strategic mistake.
hundreds of thousands of more NATO/Western troops, all that are better trained, better motivated, more skilled, with better weaponry, better intelligence services supporting them, backed by wealthier and more diverse economies too.
and all to get rid of one battalion of Nazi's..........wow
oh lets not forget the HDI (human development rankings) either, even though i doubt ****eye or truthsayer actually know what that is, and lets compare western countries or countries with western values to Russia shall we?
so from 1 to 20 it goes like......
Norway
Switzerland
Ireland
Germany
Hong Kong
Australia
Iceland
Sweden
Singapore
Netherlands
Denmark
Finland
Canada
New Zealand
United States
United Kingdom
Belgium
Liechtenstein
Japan
Austria
and then where is Russia........
oh......number 49.........long live Putin......PMSL
IndridCold 100% agree with your 10.34 post and another rec. Who would want to live in Russia other than a true comi.
"Russia have had a singular, highly intelligent, leadership structure for 20 years. Winning hands down"
mental, simply mental.
this is the short fat guy that rides around on horses topless? PMSL
the same guy that cant win an election without rigging it and also kills his political opponents?
the same guy that has ensured his reign has led to more than 20 million of his people living in poverty?
the same guy who is so sure of the nobility and righteousness of his "special operation" he has shut down all free media and threatens his own people will jail if they mention the word "war"
the same guy who resided over a change in the law that essentially states domestic violence isnt illegal?
funny things is as another poster has rightly commented, the likes of ****eye and truthsayer would never live in Russia, despite all the bluster and BS about how much they hate the west and admire Putin, they wouldnt switch their western freedoms and western made material possessions, for Russian oppression or russian made crap.
all their views are utterly flawed and i expect most of them lies too. they wouldnt give anything up to actually pick up sticks and move to live under the reign of Putin. they are liars and immoral morons, nothing more.
All i would say is truthsayer can post his views without severe repercussions ( apart from removal of post ), he can be interviewed on air and respectfully challenged, without severe repercussions, post on a variety of social platforms, without severe repercussions, stand on his soapbox delivering his message, without severe repercussions and march waving his banner in any part of this country without......................... get my drift...... i don't think i or any other individual would last 5 minutes in Russia, Belarus or China etc.
We may not be perfect, we may make wrong decisions, we may have poor leaders passing through, but i would choose our Democracy, our values, our freedoms and our beliefs anyday over truthsayers Putin mouthpiece.
*they can not get out of this more than they put in, thats a FACT.
"But Russia are flying, EU is dying. UK is in freefall, 5 percent economic shrinkage since leaving EU"
this is the sort of comment that proves truthsayer is not interested in facts or the truth in anyway shape or form. its the ramblings of an obese lonely old man, sitting in his pants, 24 pack of Stella to hand, who spends 20 hours a day scouring conspiracy websites to give some meaning to his life.
so lets break this down with actual facts:
truthsayer - "But Russia are flying"
"Russia's economy will shrink 15% this year and 3% in 2023 as the hit from Western sanctions, an exodus of companies, a Russian "brain-drain" and collapse in exports wipe out 15 years of economic gains, a global banking industry lobby group said. The IIF forecasts that Russian gross fixed capital formation will contract 25% in 2022, imports 28% and exports 25%."
truthsayer - "EU is dying"
the IMF - "Real GDP growth in both the EU and the euro area is now expected at 2.7% in 2022 and 2.3% in 2023"
"UK is in freefall"
the IMF - "Depending on the scenario, we expect UK GDP growth to average between 2.8% - 3.8% this year"
UK GDP = nominal $3.38 trillion, GDP per capita $49,760
US GDP = nominal $25.35 trillion, GDP per capita $76,300
EU GDP = nominal $17.2 trillion, GDP per capita $38,560
Russia GDP = $1.83 trillion, GDP per capita $12,570
so those are the facts, that some delusional unsubstantiated, drivel that comes from our resident russian sympathising troll truthsayer.
and to that the Russian economy is utterly dependent on natural resources, so not actual talent, manufacturing, technology, innovation, finance, services, like the western world. its literally just LUCK that under the earth, within the countries borders, they have stuff the free and civilised world used to buy of them. without that they would have next to nothing.
truthsayer, not again, ffs man, give the unadulterated, braindead, brainwashed rants a rest.
your ability to make yourself appear more and more moronic with every single post is mind boggling.
"The ruble flying"
even ****eye (the imbecilic immoral cretin that stands with you and Putin) posted up and article which showed why that was, which countered your argument the Russias were winning the economic war. Do some research for crying out loud.
"The ruble’s exchange rate “is really a Potemkin rate, because sending money from Russia abroad given the sanctions — both on Russian individuals and Russian banks — is incredibly difficult, not to mention Russia’s own capital controls,” Hess said. In politics and economics, Potemkin refers to fake villages that were purportedly constructed to provide an illusion of prosperity to Russian Empress Catherine the Great. “So yes, the ruble on paper is quite a bit stronger, but that’s the result of crashing imports, and what’s the point of building up forex reserves, but to go and buy things from abroad that you need for your economy? And Russia can’t do that.” “We should really be looking at the underlying issues in the Russian economy, including the cratering imports,” Hess added. “Even if the ruble says it has a high value, that is going to have a devastating impact on the economy and on quality of life.” “The Russian ruble is no longer an indicator for the health of the economy,” Hess said. “While the ruble has surged thanks to the Kremlin’s interference, its inattention to Russian’s well-being continues. Even Russia’s own statistics agency, famous for massaging numbers to meet the Kremlin’s goals, acknowledged that the number of Russians living in poverty rose from 12 [million] to 21 million people in Q1 2022.”
there you are truthsayer, those are the facts. A strong Ruble doesnt mean a strong economy, if the currency is being manipulated and artificially elevated.
"the Ukrainian military annihilated"
do you understand what the word "annihilated" actually means? if so why are they still fighting and killing hundreds of Russians every week, destroying hundreds upon hundreds of numbers of military equipment and vehicles. Consistently taking out the upper echelons of the ground force command structure?
Russia have lost far more military wise than Ukraine so far, and that includes the illusion they were to be feared by all.
so much such even with Putins threats of, and i quote, "complete destruction" of Sweden and Finland if they join NATO, today Turkey have removed their objections and Russias border with NATO has massively increased.
Putins scare tactics arent working, sanctions crippling his economy keep rolling in, NATO keeps expanding, weapons from western nations continue to decimate Russian forces, and what is he doing about it? despite all his threats, and those include nuclear war, no one is listening anymore. Russia have already lost, they can not get out of this more than
the sayer would you like to live in russia ? i suspect you own a super yacht or a large football club.
Truthsayer Russia has had good political leaders for 20 years ffs. Putin has a 1/2 billion £ super yacht and is rumoured to be worth £200 billion. Numerous oligarchs have bled the country dry. Only 7% of Russian people have a passport and 20% have no running water. The Rouble is so strong that they are getting less (in foreign currency terms) for their oil and gas. The pipelines do not exist to be able to reroute the gas to anywhere bar Europe. Putin has put Russia back decades.
‘But Russia are flying, EU is dying’, proper Russian propaganda that! Brilliant….
Opulent, you must be dreaming. Russia is winning, China is winning bigger. India, China et al are all switching to Russian gas and oil.
True, it suits Gkp, because uk n USA clearly want to make billions supplying EU energy now.
But Russia are flying, EU is dying. UK is in freefall, 5 percent economic shrinkage since leaving EU, Scotland intent on leaving. Regime change is coming in UK, and USA, Russia have had a singular, highly intelligent, leadership structure for 20 years. Winning hands down.
If you think Russia is winning the economic war think again,!!!!! West is now talking of steel tariffs, Gold Sanction etc,
the screws are slowly being turned on as we move on through the year, the west is suffering short time pain fro long term gain, while Russia is isolating itself from the Global World Markets,
GLA LTH
We at GKP have a lot to be thankful for Putins war on the West, the Economic war that is, he has forced Germany to do a U-Turn on its dependence to Russian Oil and Gas as well as all the other Western Countries,
Next year it will be miniscule amounts of oil exports of gas and oil into the West, and in the meantime Russia isnt enjoying the High Gas and oil prices as its having to heavily discount its selling prices to the likes of China-India-****stan etc,
So he has shot himself in the foot. and steered the West to a Path of Independence from it for at least the 10-20 years, imo
UAE and the like are asking the West to sign Contracts for its oil for those periods of time,
GLA LTH Putin has taken his Country back Decades!!!!!,
Another poster was severely castigated (yesterday?, post now removed) when he seemed to suggest that Russia was not losing the war.
I see today's Telegraph's has a similar contribution by Jeremy Warner entitled: "The dismal truth is that Putin is winning the economic war" - Touche.
Here's a taste of what Warner writes:
"The dismal truth is that sanctions are not working in the way that had been hoped. Putin is progressively losing his Western markets, but at this stage it doesn't really matter because skyrocketing prices provide compensating rewards. At the same time, sanctions have greatly contributed to a politically destabilising cost of living squeeze across the Western world. Putin can reasonably claim to be winning the economic war, even if the physical one is in stalemate."
Even if you do not agree with everything he writes, the general thrust of his views is worthy of serious consideration.
