@ThePunter1
Is covid going away? NO.
Are the percentage chances of GDRs gold standard PCR test high? YES.
That is my opinion, which is as worthwhile as yours or anyone else's on these BBs.
I find the lack of support and positivity for GDR on this BB, given what it has achieved with its test development, quite unbelievable but then not everyone is in GDRs corner, are they?
That's not to say that GDR have a free ride. They still have things to prove but they are getting very little slack, which simply isn't fair.
I think that can be summarised
Is Covid going away NO
Is GDR guaranteed sales NO
@ThePunter1 It may indeed be a thinly veiled ramp but what it does help demonstrate, is that Covid is no longer a flash in the pan, which was the general consensus for the first few months of the outbreak. In fact there are still many contributors out there that base their analysis of world Covid testing sales potential, purely on what is happening in the UK.
Personally, I stopped logging the case numbers some time ago because once Covid cases started to expand in countries that are well known for having hot humid climates, it became clear that the problem is far bigger than many of us were able to concede.
The ability of Covid-19 to overcome the usual constraints of influenza, that being generally temperatures of more than 20C and humidity at 80%, then it effectively becomes a year round problem. The only proven methods for controlling outbreaks and that is what is happening here now, control, are to socially distance ourselves from one another, wear face masks and maintain higher hygiene standards, than are the norm and carry out substantial testing on a daily basis.
These measures have already proven to be too difficult, first time around, for supposedly organised and well serviced, countries such as the US. Other more successful countries such as Germany and Australia, have still witnessed local outbreaks and lock downs because getting everyone to follow the rules all of the time, is extremely difficult to achieve.
Added to this is the fact that people become complacent and the less cases that are talked about in any one country, the more likely people are to ignore the rules that prevent a further outbreak. In addition, it has become clear to most countries now that they cannot afford a full lock down and many lower to middle income countries, simply cannot afford lock downs at all. So we have moved into a management phase, which means more testing or simply suffer the consequences of failing to do so.
All of which is amplified in countries where the people are generally poorer, lacking in social care, heavily reliant on working to live and live in much closer to proximity to one another. It is these markets that GDR are focused on, be it they need time to implement.
Is it guaranteed that GDR will succeed? No. Is it guaranteed that any business will? No.
What we do is look at the percentages. In my opinion, the above criteria means that demand will be maintained at elevated levels for some time. In fact a good many poorer countries will highly likely never rid themselves of Covid and the West will probably stop caring, once its own problems are resolved and Covid is long forgotten about there.
That aside, in a market where I expect demand to remain high, easier to use gold standard tests, however new to the market they may be, for me, will succeed. Hence why I am here and will allow this to play out fully.
That applies even if a vaccine with strong efficacy comes to market.
7 weeks ago I would of agreed with you on time scales and I think David Budd would of also.
But is uk Government has taken this long to move a test (as good on paper as ours) to the step before ordering (I think I understood that step D out of A-E) maybe we were expecting to much.
If it has taken that long in UK then lets be frank places like India will take longer.
The same then must apply to European sales. This is after all a brand new product. It has a certain resistance to over come to break into these markets. (a market which has been flooded by false promises and over exaggerated claims) so I can see (I don't like it but I can understand) a need to prove our claims before sales.
Is 7 weeks to long
Hell yes I have a retirement to fund pull your finger out world and buy GDR'S amazing test.
is it a understandable requirement of the situation ? In my view yeah probably.
is it the end of the world. probably not.
no no no NO !
I will not get drawn into discussing another company here
even though now I want to regale you with witting stories from then.
:) **** missed those.
ffs I am getting old.
I used to work for games workshop lol. many many years ago.
I think Sam if we state stuff as fact we should be able to and will to back it up with proof particularly if we are picking others up on there "facts"
there is nothing wrong with stating something is an opinion. but making clear it is an opinion would help avoid some of the conflict here.
As to the facts here we know there have been applications to WHo FDA and The Indian regulatory thingy. We have in various posts seen proofs of progress I think in all cases but I maybe wrong.
There seams to be (supported by releases from wallbrook, again I think) a feeling that GDR will not release any details of sales data before approvals.
We are therefore waiting for those approvals. These approvals are external to the company and they have no influence over how fast they are given (there also seams to be an opinion that some of these approvals were not applied for as soon as they could of been, I have no opinion either way on this.)
For uk sales we have certainly applied for and been in communication with the right people and my guessis we are waiting for a positive response from them.
does all of that seam fair?
Tolster1, well said
to be fair Sam
you still haven't answered his questions
but well done on not mentioning another stock holding for a few posts.
:)
"When everyone on this bb is posting about the fact GDR is about to be added to the WHO approved list.. and then you claim that there are"
STOP POSTING STATING ITS A FACT. JUST BECAUSE YOU HAVE APPLIED FOR SOMETHING DOES NOT DE FACTO GUARANTEE APPROVAL!
THEY HAVE APPLIED FOR IT. WE ALL HOPE THEY GET IT. BUT ITS NOT A FOREGONE CONCLUSION.
Sorry for the caps everybody else. Im hoping it might go in this time.
Too right Tolster1, like me many are heavily in the red but it is what it is hopefully we will get a lot of positive news flow soon...
"Yet the links have been posted on here showing the supporting evidence GDR is about to be listed amongst only a dozen or so companies in the world that are on the WHO list."
Factually incorrect.
There IS evidence GDR have submitted their test for WHO emergency listing
There is NOT evidence the test is about to be added to the approved list.
Can you not tell the difference or are you being intentionally misleading?
Please ignore my ignorance. Everyone keeps crying about the lack of positive news coming out of the company, am I correct in thinking that negative news should be passed in lot the market as well??? If so I haven’t come across any yet in the form of a RNS. I believe in this company and it’s PRODUCTS. Keep the faith if not sell up and move on..
This share is desperate for a huge bull run. Just needs that RNS to light the touch paper. Come on DB.
Panter
Your posts are infantile and moronic.
According to you, posting factual information about increasing Coronavirus numbers is
a 'thinly veiled ramp'.
Trot on.
It was a rhetorical question
Punter the only person who can tell you when sales news is coming is DB... no point keep asking it here.
longtermholder14 -- Oh wow that's a special skill you have knowing everything about a person without ever meeting them. You should have a chat with GDR they could use your skills to generate some sales. I have a good position in this share and its mainly fun money to make probably more than most investors on this bb. Even so although I can wait for as long as needed I didn't get to a good position in life by ignoring the difficult questions. GDR have not been updating the shareholders because the logic says there is nothing which the market has to be alerted too. So no sales in Europe in 7 weeks since the EU certification... that is p i s s poor and doesn't say much for the GDR sales team..
boom and right on que
"my money would be better in X company!!"
well why are you still here then?
Samolly honestly I'd just like a update. I know company's don't have to and I'm not desperate for the money. But honestly for my own mental health I'd love one green day.
Btw, I personally see the most value in the poc kit we have in development.
We need penetration now to ensure when that is released we have immidiate customers and preorders to be taken. As that is our opp to be the first mover.
teabiscuit-it is very clear what you are here to do. All tea biscuits are to a particular taste...you are not to mine. Go get a proper job!
ah the rest of the wrecking crew has arrived
time to discuss another four hundred shares he is not invested in
If there is a product issue.
Then DB lied when asked around negative feedback on tests sent out..
I personally do not think that is the case. That said, every single sample sent should lead to commercial conversation if it is a cut above their existing test, as we've been told.
We need some clarity.
we are not ignoring it ffs we have discussed it to death.
No Grim, this is the main question which is affecting the shareprice and should not be ignored. It is a serious issue the company has. They expected first sales in June, have no sales, no sales in Europe which has covid cases all over the eurozone, so why does no one want to purchase this gold standard, cheap test. There is an issue and it is clearly holding up sales. IT's the core issue which is affecting how much your shares in GDR are worth.
