Divoc has been confirmed weeks ago. What you are suggesting is nonsense and libellous.
Safy, we know it’s not fake. To switch analogies to DBs, we’re not selling cars. It was a terrible analogy by him as the vast majority of people test drive cars. Also a lot of people already have cars.... anyway...
To speak in plain English. We have a test. We’re trying to sell it. We need approvals to sell it in some places. We currently have no idea what’s going on other than an update is due. Magsy laid out a logical argument, if we’d had a large order we’d have known. DB actually said he’d RNS significant sales. We haven’t had an RNS... ergo... Don’t expect the sales update to blow your socks off. Yet.
These things take time, I don’t care how dry your fictional desert is, our potential customers won’t necessarily lap up our water if they already have some. Oops, back in the analogy. Patience is required.
Bear in mind the constraint is that the tests need a machine to run on, it’s not as simple as just saying the word needs tests. India certainly know that, they’re desperate, but part of that desperation is a lack of PCR capacity. Our more efficient test gives us a very good shout, but it doesn’t mean they’ll be hoovered straight up. So in that sense I disagree with your analogy.
The above summarises in to a negative view, but it’s not. I prefer realistic. We have a good product that will soon receive the approvals we need to be sold the world over. Sales will come, be patient and give it some time.
There is so much drivel on these boards these days. Can't we all please wait for the inevitable RNSs before posting?
Olly2 your a complete idiot. What is it idiot day on here today
flyingmachine had it confirmed that lions head global partners are working with divoc and dr kanav
i think the site is just a holding page for now until divoc have the necessary approvals
Sam,
That is my issue, probably Magsy's too.
Marve - im honoured Magsy has referenced me by name, highlight of my day.
I actually don't mind the fact that GDR are less 'chatty' compared to companies like ODX and AVCT. Some of the RNSs that come out there seem a little bit desperate to me.
"(I hope I am not putting too many words in your mouth Safy, just seems that we are on the same wavelength here)"
and nothing else for that matter either i hope magsy lol
there, my effort to lighten the mood
re divoc, if it helps us get sales in india then great, otherwise could not care less
@Saint,
I get your point, it just shows that GDR has not got a very good Sales/Marketing team behind them. You may have the best product on the market, but unless you are able to let the world know about it, test it and buy it hopefully ...
You won't last very long if you can't sell!
Just to be clear ST, after DB showed confidence of sales in June, if it turns out that we currently have made no sales at all so far, would this impact your view of GDR in any way?
Yes, early July 'as a minimum'. He also says immediately after that, that he will update the market before early July if anything price sensitive happens. What could trigger that? Hmm....oh yes, SALES.
Samolly - i know people are thinking it, just too stubborn to admit when they are wrong.
Magsy - Im a realist, straight up if i was in a duff stock, and someone asked me i would NOT say there is potential, look im here, i'd tell them the truth. The Divoc website is a 99p job, none of the rampers will ever admit that either, its laughable. They're argument will be, well it serves a purpose.
PL75 - we have a CE mark, its a UK company, test produced with Cytiva, its not fake water, it was never going to be :-)
And you failed to pick up the key point in my analogy and BBN's post, there is limited water, you desperately need water, its life and death, everybody wants water. That is the picture these Covid companies are painting.
Anyway i dont want to fall out with anyone over this, i absolutely know my analogy stands and i can go a step further and say its life and death if you dont buy the water, and there is a scarcity of water too.
I've made my point, for the wise its easily understood.
@Tech, so, are Arkray a GDR distributor in India? "Genedrive" does not feature on that website. Sorry, but what am I missing please?
"as a minimum we'll do an update early July". Indeed. I've had that in my notes since that presentation was first aired.
Hahaha please do ST.
@saint, at £8 per test and a plate of 96 thats nearly £800 you'll have to drop for a single plate :)
To continue your analogy, there’s just a bloke stood in front of you saying do you want to buy this bottle of water. You’re thirsty, but as a buyer you’re wondering, well, is it water? Could be any clear liquid. Any chance of a sip?
That’s DBs approach, they produced 60,000 tests and he has said feedback has been good. So you’ve now got a bunch of people thinking, wow, great water, much better then that murky stuff we currently got. Might get some more of that nice clear stuff once my existing supplies run out, waste not, want not. Someone else might just think, wow, this water is so efficiently thirst quenching I’ll bin everything I’ve got and order some right now. Other people will shrug and say, no thanks, I’ve already got plenty.
Let’s just be patient, some places are in the desert, other places have taps, some places need approvals to be able to sell water. Soon enough we’ll find out.
This swing of sentiment on this board is nothing to do with posters such as myself and Safy because we stay fairly level headed and take emotion out of the equation regardless of whether the share price has gone up 10% or 10% down that day. These swings are caused by the people who suddenly start claiming that off the back of a 10% rise that it's the start of a new dawn. This gets the hopes up of the more inexperienced investors and then when it doesn't quite pan out, the disappointment sets in.
I can assure you that if the reported sales are underwhelming that people like myself and Safy will be among the least disappointed on the board.
(I hope I am not putting too many words in your mouth Safy, just seems that we are on the same wavelength here)
@Madhav3243
http://www.arkray.co.in
@Ghia
Good idea - pls do feed back and i'd be interested to learn how quickly they respond, what kind of timescales they project.
And ramp the number of tests need by at least 10x
....at this rate the vaccine Phase 3 trials will have completed and we'll all be getting our jags before any news is out! Come on Dave shove us a lifeline!
Marve, its not frustration on my part,
I've not sworn at anyone, called them names, belittled them trying to peddle any agenda. Simple economics for simpletons.
Safy - Has anyone actually tried to buy some of the tests? I'm not suggesting we all spam the company contact page, but one thing stands out to me if Sysmex are the European distributor why is Genedrive barely mentioned on their website and there is no reference to the SARS-CoV-2 assay.
FYI I have just made a genuine enquiry to purchase a number of tests for my company I will let you know how I get on and how quickly they can fulfill my order.
@Safy I'm sorry but this whole conversation is utter nonsense.
Nothing the company has said to date says they cannot sell the 'water.' It is those that are investors that have decided that they cannot sell the water because they don't have the patience to wait for the company to update them.
To be clear , the GDR product is gold standard. That's a quality ref. not a pricing ref. but being easier to implement, it should be cheaper on a full cost to implement basis.
You have a company that has told you that they will update the market in early July or sooner if they have significant news to share. That has told you that they have applied for the key approvals that open up the very markets they truly want to focus on (US, India and Africa).
Why is that not enough? What more do they have to do?
The beauty of all this is you are talking yourselves into being underwhelmed by any figures that are actually released because you are putting too much emphasis on the update and not letting the company deliver over a respectable priod of time.
good post big bite
saint, that is the problem, positives when the board is +15% but negative when it is level or down
is that not the general reaction of inexperienced investors, who can change their view on a daily basis
some of you will take this as offensive, so be it
