Beginning to wonder if my 20p target will ever be seen!!!
Come on board, get that juicy gold sold..

If a new government was set of nationalising assets you can probably forget about getting anything like the market rate or indeed anything at all.
What is in GDPs favour is that the facilities are really very small in SA in the grand scheme of things. Governments would go after the big P6, Cr and Fe mines. And even if they did it might do us a favour. The SA operating subsidiary hasn't exactly been mega profitable compared with Ghana and seems to take up much more management time
Anyone thoughts on the election result? If a coalition then would they have to pay market valuation if they nationalize mining cos?

Put the SA operation on care and maintenance until the authorities get their act together and issue the necessary licenses for the gold contained in the spoil heap. Expand operations in SA since if they can make money out of SA consignments on Ghana how much better would the money be if processed in SA itself.

Ghana has performed really well, there is a massive cash balance, company making a good profit, this is a cheapest share in the market at these condition.

Well thank God for Ghana which continues to score goals. Unfortunately SA only seems to score Own Goals. Glad to see the generators are ready to spring into action if and when needed. Pipeline further problems?

Very good opportunity to be in, surely this one of the most undervalued stock
Agree , added more today and will do more next week when cashflow allows....Goldplat shares were 12.5p in November 2022 when Gold was $1750, with Gold at $2370 they are 8.5p go figure....
I dont understand why this is not 12p plus with gold so high. I have been adding below 8p when possible
We are starting to move and hopefully 10p will be passed soon! Plenty news to come...
News out. Generators arrived. Another good move

Well that was not well received. Very boring and generally a waste of my time listening in. Gerard is not a good CEO or public face. With the POG still ramping upwards we must be coining it in? Why is this not reflected in the SP?

It looks like going to move fast from Germany
Overhead supply from previous trading at sp, levels, 7.25-7.45, which could provide resistance to price rise, from sellers at those levels. Good news is that GDP, has broken above major down trendline, which is bullish. Also first break above a price peak, conducive to an uptrend starting. If a normal sp, retracement happens, the price peak at 6.6, provides a possible level of support. DYOR.
Investor presentation later. Hopefully some discussion on the TSF. Nearly 51,000 ounces of gold in measured category, sat waiting to get started on.
Making a big move, hopefully going to pass 10p soon
Exactly, GDP is very unique co in AIM.
Good solid move today - 10p is still cheap for GDP and makes it an undemanding target

All looking good for GDP, should never trade below 10p, this is a big opportunity to make money!
Profit making hugely undervalued company, will able to pay Dividends....
Finally on the move up
Gold absolutely blasting through $2200 here
Yes, they’ve had (well covered) issues but still making decent cash
Another good set of result! This will explode at some point

:We see fair value at 14.5p/sh on the basis of an undemanding 3.5x EV/EBITDA multiplier for FY25E. We look forward to including the tailings retreatment project in our forecasts once technical, economic and commercial inputs have been defined

Objective 2
Foster the industry by extending the life of the South African gold mining industry.
Objective statement
Extend the life of gold production through technologies, equipment supply and technical support that will reduce operating costs, improve efficiencies and maximise the value and life-of-mine of gold industries.
Baseline
Patented gold from carbon fines technology had been developed and piloted. A project to demonstrate the gold from carbon fines technology to transfer the technology had received state grant funding (R2 009 000). Industrial partners in both South Africa (GoldPlat) and Burkino Faso had been identified as vehicles to transfer this technology. Detailed process design is currently in progress. This is the first year of the technology transfer project.

I would expect GDP board not to accept offer at 20p. it would be acceptable around 30p level
I have not been able to find the article - it is online somewhere, however, many years ago Niel Pretorious was asked if he would takeover goldplat - his reply was "nothing is ever off the table"
DRD ceo Niel pretorious is a superb ceo and he would not entertain goldplats TSF if he didn't think it was a winner...
his comments from years ago, tell you what sort of CEO he is...
https://www.miningmx.com/news/gold/32689-drdgold-ceo-niel-pretorius-puts-money-mouth/
On March 28 Pretorius told Miningmx that, “instead of making a huge crap-load of money, we’re just going to make a crap-load of money.” That was in reply to a question on the impact of the lower rand gold price on the deal.
Pretorius stands out as CEO of a quoted SA gold company in that he has been prepared to publicly state his opinions on his company’s share price and “put his money where his mouth is” as he has just done again.
That will be up to Martin Ooi- 28% shareholder of goldplat - the alternative is that he holds on and monetises it over the next few years - I can't see him selling for less than 20p given the upside personally, lets see.
That would be very interesting, what would be DRD's offer for a takeover?

Good to see some movement, as announced presentation and CEO Q&A session coming!
I am sure this will not stay at this level for long as gold price keep rising we should see re-rating here soon.
Got a tip from a friend about Goldplat and looked into it and looks very safe investment to me. Made my initial purchase today.
Any view from exsisting holder what should we expect next?
Jam tomorrow.
Again!

View: A solid quarter from Goldplat despite the ongoing electricity issues in South Africa. The receipt of material from Côte d’Ivoire is very encouraging and points to the possibility that administrative issues over import and export can be solved for other West African countries and that access becomes available for considerable wastes we expect to be laying around in these countries. We see fair value in Goldplat at 18.1p/sh based on undemanding 3.5x FY24 EV/EBITDA now that we see an end in sight to issues in South Africa and the beginning of the flow of material from West Africa into Ghana. We note that our numbers do not yet include any contribution from the reprocessing of the TSF, and we will include this eventuality in our numbers once there is a better understanding of timing and revenue share for the project.

I think you will be waiting a very long time before we see 20p. I don’t see it reaching this level anytime soon unless they pull out a massive RNS regarding new contracts/mammoth revenue streams.
I can however see 9.5p-10p short term once the electric issues are resolved and we get a stable connection to the main grid from another provider. It was holding around the 10p level for some time before it dropped.
GLA
We’re on the move.
I’m Fully loaded again, ready for the 20p party.
Gla & and may our SA glitches be behind us.
Last post: Cnutgoestheeasal, 31 May 2023 10:37
I interpret today's RNS as good news. Hopefully, the new hire will take some of the pressure of Werner. They electricity supply issues in SA was a known issue and anybody with the slightest knowledge of the country knows it is not going away anytime soon so the purchase of diesel generators with attendant financing is a very good move. 24 months payback is more than justification for the more. Also it's very hard to motivate a workforce when operations could shut down at any moment with minimal notice and attendant loss of revenue/pay.
It's an inconvenient fact that SA/ZBW i.e. the bushveld and great dyke have huge reserves of elements such as AU, PT6+ and Chrome that are simply not found anyway else. If business gets tough costs rise and production falls. That then increases the price of the raw materials which in a way then becomes a natural hedge.
That's why I stay invested
Really good news re the license in Ghana. SA electricity problem being addressed not sure why it has taken so long? Please guys when are you going to talk about a dividend?
