What’s you take on further fundraise Phulbari - in the next weeks and at what price?
Some of the runes look good and I understand the enthusiasm, but we have to keep in mind that this is not over until the fat lady sings. Although pressure is building on her, and around her, there is no sign yet that Hasina is ready to sign.
......that's quite positive and the timing impeccable - let's hope so. All that coal which is going to be trapped in Baltimore will provide another 'spanner in the works'. Luvvly Jubbly
Bangladesh will not look back once they agree to mine pullbari
Yep, all adds to energy security problems. Something even the UK has fallen foul of with French electricity being used.
GPback it's not just pirates you need to worry about, look at this scenario, who expected this

It’s good to see interest from the power plants. They should be queuing up, the coal won’t be as cheap imported and will have a guaranteed supply. No pirates to be concerned about. Well maybe the odd barrow full here and there.
I’m expecting to see deals being penned for supply. These will be RNS’d of course as they must be. The major point I’m coming to is it will make approval of the SoD that more compelling.
The Govt need this project to start sooner RATHER than later....
Too much Barolo!
My guess is before end of May.
If you look at the skill set of our new additions, it plays into the possibility of a reorganisation of the company structure including several joint ventures, each with their own project to build up, to deal with the various segments which will be required for Phulbari to be mined.
Financing is NOT going to be a problem, this was discussed at the AGM (I was not there) but has been reiterated in earlier conversations with the company.
PowerChina will not be letting this project go, talks have been going on for some time now and at Govt to Govt level.
The GOB need this project to start sooner than later as any delays will only add to the country`s problems and if you look at the article below, time and money are running out.
Suggestion from the RNS is that this could happen soon rather than later? Interesting few weeks ahead...
When THEY are good and ready.
Realistically when do we think the Government will sign this off?
This is why I do NOT DARE to let any of my GCM go - Everything point to Govt agreement & everything in-between is distraction.
Upside is LIFE CHANGING! 🦉
GKP those were the days,
Mates rates placing at 6p, 3 weeks late 90p!!!!
Worked out the other day if I had put my GKP profits into Tesla in 2012 I would be worth 250M now lol
I made a shed load of cash with GKP. Didn’t need to work for someone else for over 5yrs!
GKP was mis-managed. Too much debt etc etc. that won’t happen here.
That GKP re-financing was at .89 of a penny. I think i've missed a zero out.
If the Government of BD are going to get 'onside', then they will ALL want to be 'inside' before this goes rocketing.
From the recent RNS, there is talk of Government involvement throughout the report. Without the Government, nothing happens.
My baptism of fire into these type of investments was with GKP back in about 2007 I think. I bought initally at 6p. It went as high as £4.50 something I think. It eventially got re-financed at .089p something, if I recall.
Why do I tell my little story?
Well, if look over at GKP, its still all happening, all theses years on, and the Government runs through the public company that is GKP like Blackpool through a stick of rock.
The ride with GCM, I believe will be similar. There will be mates rates placings in the early days. There will be things that happen that make no sense, the price will drop only to rocket the following day /week.
Expect the unexpected. Watch like a hawk, and look to learn along the way (if you are relatively new to this stuff.)
This board will be infected by all manor of conspirators along the way, and threats of legal action, and fist fights will ensue!
Finally, strap in and try to enjoy the ride.
GLA - something tells me that we are going to need it!
Danno.
BD’s forex reserves see over half a billion dollar dip amid wide sales in a week
Does the government really have a choice but to try and use ALL their own resources!!

I was expecting a 10% recovery after the early sell off this morning. I misjudged that, slightly! 🙈
Hoping for a smooth ride here then; I enjoy my lie-ins whatever but help in being a steady investor.
I honestly wouldn't worry about the current share price.
I've recently 8 - bagged in HE1, there was all the doom sayers, 5% traders and loads of sellers at the bottom price. I didn't have to do anything just let the initial results land and waited 4 sessions to exit with healthy profits.
Similar will happen here IMO
🤔 the end of May is 8 weeks away… that in my eyes is only a few weeks away, and by then depending on what news comes through, whether it’s from the Bangla press or from the company, the SP could / should be in a totally different place, and as I said earlier, 10, 15 or 20 million shares in issue really is not going to make that much difference imo if we get the green light 🤞
Disappointing all round Searcher. So it sounds like we won't get the boost of knowing that the project submittal has been done. On top of that they've declared that the fundraise will be done in the 'coming weeks', way before it was due at the end of May24. We all know what happens to the sp after a fundraise. And how long for a response from Bangladesh after?
And to you Searcher....just look at where we are compared to pre AGM...and could be worse I suppose if the Wetherspoons crew get more of their mates to wake up in the morning 🙂
