It is an exciting time, expectations are high for all the players in Namibia
Bodes well for GBP
Jimarillo - …."I think I would do a Reggie Perrin", surely it would be the time to do what Viv Nicholson did in the 1960's when she won the football pools...…"Spend, spend, spend" !!!!
It is an exciting time to be a GBP shareholder, Super Majors will be drilling in offshore Namibia in the next 12 months, our BoD are experienced oil executives who own 40% + of the company, I like that because their interests are aligned with my interests!
We do need a deal before the money runs out, but as has been said before not once has the company mentioned the need for additional funding or a particular crunch time
This for me is another clue that the company are relaxed about the cash burn, which may be attributed to an up coming deal
If we had a deal with Woodside and Exxon found a petroleum system, but the oil had migrated, it would be time to top up imo. However they seem to have the Midas touch at the moment and I think the Majors have enough resource to decipher the new data and the fresh 3D seismic acquired this year to make a good show
100 bag ? stop it, if that were to happen I think I would do a Reggie Perrin ;-))
A partnership needs to happen fairly soon before the money runs out. Peter cannot wait forever on the sidelines. This years planned drills could be pivotal. But if results are poor, I fear for GBPs ability to keep the lights on.
We have no diversification within the GBP portfolio and with current Namibian assets generally valued near zero, the future could be challenging.
However, on the flip side we could 100 bag if we are carried at 10-15% and hit 9 bbls
So, if we look back to the quarterly report back in July 2018 for the period up to June 2018 it states..
"The farmout process is still underway following renewed interest created by presentations conducted by the Company during May 2018, with data room participation continuing into July."
That must have been Paul Howlett's Hunting Giants presentation at the 2018 Summit.
26th Sep - Annual Report stated..
It is believed that potential farminees have decided to await the results of the drilling being carried out in Q3 and Q4 2018 by operators nearby..
Subsequent events
Our read across to Cormorant = proven play + thief channel + migration distance risk on 37, Tullow and ONGC pull out of PEL 30 also within that proven play zone - I can only infer it being the same risks as in 37)
Termination of the contract with Stellar... why would you do that with renewed interest not forgetting the new info of the proven play from Cormorant!!???
Another presentation - "We know where the source is, where are the traps?.."
Jeremy Asher 31st 2019 with adjacent licences to our PEL 29 and PEL 94
We get to watch and see the next wave of work being done on the licences around us which I also think will be very educational, and then make decisions about which of the prospects that we have in the Dolphin Graben or indeed going back to the Giant prospects if that seems more fruitful..
This years Summit confirmed on April 2nd we are exhibiting in what the CEO of Frontier points out we are one of the top picks and states as..
"The exhibition space we offer is highly impactful for companies looking to build on existing partnerships and share information on their blocks and acreage."
Paul Howlett (geologist) has presented for GBP twice at industry conferences on the merits of both PEL29 & 94
The first presentation was called "Hunting Giants in Namibia" this presentation was solely on PEL29 including Gemsbok the main prospect. The second included the new PEL94 and 29 and centered on "we know where the source is, where are the traps? "
We have the source rock and we have the traps, the drill bit will tell us if we have the oil
Jeremy Asher presents to investors at the Oil Capital Conference in London on January 31st 2019.
Forward to 24.10 Seconds, talking about about Namibia
"We get to watch and see the next wave of work being done on the licences around us which I also think will be very educational, and then make decisions about which of the prospects that we have in the Dolphin Graben or indeed going back to the Giant prospects if that seems more fruitful and erm with which partners we work but we've got several years in which to make that decision."

** Now, to decide whether the area of the Dolphin Graben and or the giant prospects could be more fruitful depending on the next wave on work being done in licences around them HAS to involve at least PEL 94! **
Beautiful picture of the Dolphin Graben extending into 94.
