There is mention of sector specific experience in the RNS. I imagine they will announce further appointments with more focus on the regional side.
Let us hope so but it is a,fact that all three new directors have made their name in financial services and hedge funds. Maybe they will surprise us with their knowledge of oil and gas but so little time to sort the license out
Well they must have something planned strategy wise and as Earl mentions they have 2 days to get it out to market. Personally I reckon with the cv’s we seen yesterday it won’t be daft!
Agreed and the nomad wouldn’t have allowed a new board to come in if there wasn’t a proper strategy and financial plan to get the company saved and turned around
And given the credentials of the new board - we need them more than they need us so them coming on board means they’ll want to do something very grand and big given that they’ve got real city reputations and clients and contacts
Start of something big here - people will kicking themselves imo when we say bye bye to the teens and buy premiums here
I'll wait for the company to raise funds or get a CLN to pay the obligations or else No licence, No asset.... simple as that
this could get suspended if no money is available to pay,
Hence Old Board of directors left the company.....
company literally has nothing.......
Must be part of the 'MM' brigade lol
The Company requires significant additional funding in order to cash-collateralise the guarantee and meet its licence and other payments due in the near future for which the Company currently does not have sufficient cash resources. In the event that the guarantee and other licence payments are not paid, or further deferred, the Company would then be in breach of its obligations under the licence and associated Petroleum Agreement which could result in the forfeiture of its licence interest. Accordingly, the Company will very likely need to raise funds via a share placing in the near future.
Pumpers are here people...beware!
2 days left to come up with money or else GBP in default
Lots of new ppl will be backing this horse ..
All good things come to those who can wait !!
Remember news cob!!! It’s moving again
The anchor which has held us down has finally gone (peter hill and co) and now we can start our journey
and what a fine journey it will be
get ready for a lovely ride up here team GBP
Smells like we are in for a massive treat and uplift here especially considering we are at less than 1 million market cap and have not only namibia to get started properly but other projects the WCB (world class board) have got planned. Mr ahmad has stated 100m market cap and i feel that is conservative given the upside of namibia alone. We have seen it get to 1p off the shell and total drills and now imagine if we get a JV and hit oil. 100m-->1billion+ very very fast
the anchor which has held us down (peter hill and co) are gone and now the ship can finally start its voyage and this voyage is going to be one we all want to get aboard in my opinion
going to be a fine ride and exciting times ahead team GBP
The anchor which has held us
1p I remember it shooting near 2? Hopefully we get a nice blue shoot get it on folks radars draw them in if they missed yesterdays news
The CVs of the new board have already won me over and the quote by Daniel Page where he said that he is looking maximise shareholder value, be financially prudent and want to use their extensive network all strike me as as a board that have a big plan, know how to get there and be conserative with their cash
The major shareholder mr ahmad has also got a history of major winners and i feel would not back a horse unless its going to win the race and win it big . He was in GGP (in my opinion the last major aim success) from .5 to 35p (to over 1 billion market cap) and was shouting about it for months before it went on the run for people to get in and now he actively saved the company GBP and got world class talent in. Smells like we are in for a massive treat and uplift here especially considering we are at
Totally agree torino here - rememebr how this shot to 1p on the back of shell and total hitting , now imagine a top tier board who can achieve goals and have the network and ability to get a JV or other major projects lined up here
Daniel and Cecilia and khan all are world class talent in a company with a tiny market cap - the 100m upside is realistic imo and that could well be the start
And he tweeted this shortly after too:
‘Global Petroleum make no mistake the target here is 100 million market cap based on the Namibia licence and if it hits we could be in the billions. This is why the world class management team have been put in to deliver significant shareholder value and also consider other opportunities as per RNS using their huge network.
Congratulations to all holders the future is now!’
Blimey £100m and potentially even more if they hit, thats 8p for starters.
Here’s what Omar Ahmed - who owns 5% - and drove the board changes said on Twitter yesterday after the announcement:
‘Global Petroleum #gbp can't wait for this to multi bagger with the new management in place!
About time all shareholders get what they deserve and been waiting for. A company run to deliver significant shareholder value.
A new dawn for Global Petroleum awaits.’
So he’s telling you it will be a multi bagger and this is the guy who invested in GGP at 0.5p and a year later it was 35p. Follow the money and the knowledge…
Am sure they are fully aware of this and furthermore already have a plan of action ..
Don't think we are dealing with novices !
The big gains will come for mid-long term holders moving forward and not the traders looking for a daily 10%
What is the best party is they a all have fantastic connections with institutional investsment houses and links as well as links to private equity.
Actually per the rns they have said they’ve got experience in the sector
The nomad wouldn’t allow false statements
The new board going to be on a mission to get this big especially based on their backgrounds. Not small timers at all
As a long standing shareholder losing a ton on this share glad to see the back of the directors
However none of the new directors have any experience in oil and gas so presume they are going to move the company in a different direction so maybe they will not be going be going ahead with the Namibian assets. If so the company will be a shell with millions of tax losses over the years. We will all have to wait and see
He’s a deramper who’s missed out or a short seller ,simple as that ,he no holder that’s for sure ,so no interest to be here really
Indeed Torino but don’t expect poc to know that…
Let’s see what tomorrow brings but expect fireworks given the news never hit him till near cop
The PPL that have taken over are multi millionaires, if they wanted they could of bought them out, no doubt some deal has been done to offload them without any fuss or comeback.
Gosh if everything you are going to write has negativity attached then I ask WHY are you even here / invested POC !!
