A whole one percent? Massive reduction! Only 89 to go! 😂
They have started to offload their short positions:-)
Down 11% since Thursday with no news, strange, especially considering the swift rise.
Just to let you know, the missing short transaction has mysteriously appeared in today's FCA report, at number 73 in the chart.
Any reason that anyone knows of? Or maybe just profit taking after the sharp rise?
Lse say that they are going to raise this with their data supplier
Yes I agree, something confusing going on here. I will ask lse to clarify.
You need to click on more information first to display other info about the company, which includes short positions
Yeh I also just checked FCA directly and it stated 0.81%.
If you look at the one on this site for example there is a discrepancy. Click the button above next to all the other options for this company.
I am just glad the tides turning.
Check it yourself: http://www.fca.org.uk/static/documents/short-positions-daily-update.xls
Sorry, just to state this again, the FCA data published today only lists AHL as holding a 0.81% short position. Could someone advise where the 0.9% comes from if you have already checked the data yourself?
The 0.9% is the total short position, AHL is only 0.81% according to FCA data published today.
Ahl Partners Llp 0.90% 0.09% 16 Jun 2023
Total 0.90%
Your only looking at the change not the total. Its 0.9%
It's clear on the short positions shown on this site also.
Their position is currently showing as 0.9% ?(unchanged).
However I am sure this will change soon.
Just to clarify, the 0.81% short position was an increase of 0.11% on the previous position. Also, if they reduced their position yesterday, this may not appear until 3:30pm today.
According to the FCA, AHL hold a 0.81% short position taken out on 12/06/23.
According to the FCA "You should send your positions by 3.30pm on the trading day after the day the position was reached. All calculations should be made as at midnight on the trading day the position was reached."
So according to the FCA the 0.81% position must still be in place, unless there is an error on behalf of the FCA, or someone is not following the rules.
Any thoughts?
7.9% YOY, 8.2% forecast. Hopefully this gives UK shares a push
These short interest trackers get their data from FCA. As I said before , as their position is above 0.2% any reduction from 0.9% would be published on any short tracker (including the one on this site). Maybe they are closed already as am not sure what the delay is to filter through FCA etc.

It’ll certainly be interesting to see if there’s an update soon regarding Ahl’s position.
Would top the week off nicely.
The transactions were delayed reports so the lower price could have been for a short position closing in the early morning or even the previous day. Similarly the other 2m transaction was a delayed report so could have been made during the day sometime, or the previous day. I think that likely it was AHL reducing their position for these reasons. It would make complete sense for them to do this given the likely recovery in the share price from here.
Seems to have gone unmentioned.
757 target from previous 668.
Still obviously significantly lower than other targets. but an upgrade is an upgrade.
Correction: 2 of the £2m trades were around 15:53, the other two after hours.
Either way, very interesting trades have gone through today. And this board has livened up, happy days!
